Jalapeños

I have been meaning to write something about this place because it's the best Mexican food place my boyfriend and I have tried. Not only was it super yummy, the workers were so welcoming, helpful, and paid attention to detail. The guy attending us even turned on the heater by our table so we could be cozy while we waited for our food. I got the tacos and my boyfriend got the chilaquiles. Everything about this place made us feel like we were back home eating our mothers' food that is always made with so much love. Definitely recommend.

I went here with a couple of my friends last week for drinks and some tacos. I've lived in the area for about 3 years now and have never been to Jalapeños. The staff were very friendly, especially the manager. He gave me a recommendation of trying the "steak in dark sauce taco" and the "tinga de pollo taco" since he noticed I love spicy food. I decided to try both and also got a michelada.The Steak In Dark Sauce Tacos I'd give a 10/10! They are SO good! I could probably eat 10 of those and be very happy on its own. The Tinga De Pollo Tacos were ok to me. I think personal preference for myself, I'm not a big sweet mixed with savory type of person. But I know many others would love that as a taco. As for the michelada, it was very tasty, not overwhelmed with seasonings and had some pieces of cucumber and jalapeño in it for flavor. This is probably going to be my new go to for Mexican food, especially for those dark sauce tacos!

5 stars all the way!! My friend and I stumbled upon this place on our way to a different Midtown restaurant and decided we'd come in for a drink. I got the Mango Mojiño and she got the blueberry margarita. Both were delicious. We were going to get the "$1.50" taco Tuesday promotion but opted out of food at first. This deal requires a drink and 3 tacos for each person. Later on Miguel, who took our order, brought us 3 of their poblano tacos to taste and y'all they didn't disappoint!! Each server, busser, food runner etc was extremely welcoming. We were warmly greeted by each person and we watched as they recognized people standing in line, greeting them again, making sure everyone on the patio is all set. It's a small establishment but they have a larger patio area (no indoor seating). I am excited to come back for more tacos and even try their brunch. I will say, within 30 min of us sitting down it went from one person ahead of us in line to a line out the gate! Thank you Miguel & the rest of the staff for an incredible first experience!!

This place has changed me. I love their tostadas Thursdays. Anything you get will be amazing. I particularly enjoy the pork in sauce, picadillo, and chicken tinga tostada. You order at the counter and sit outside, there is no seating inside. There are heat lamps and umbrellas if needed. Lots of beautiful plants around too. The service is great, very friendly and welcoming. They bring the food to your table.

Came here for girls night tonight. Love that they have the heaters outdoors- they work really well! Had the carnitas, chicharrón, and pork taco. All were delicious and I was surprised at how spicy they actually were. The size was great for the price too. Super friendly staff and they were super attentive even though the place was packed. Would recommend!

Absolutely love this mexican restaurant in midtown! our server Alejandro was sooooooo warm, welcoming and kind, along with being super attentive! my friend and i came on a rainy day, so he turned up the outdoor heater for us and wiped the rainwater off the table for us! I ordered the TJ Dogo, but w out mayo and ketchup and oh boy it did NOT disappoint! to drink i ordered the cadillac margarita and it was amazing as well!!! will be back in the future!!

Came here with my line sisters for taco Tuesday. We had a blast and the food was so good. We were able to come right before the crowd and when I say crowd I man packed packed. We all had 3 tacos and a margarita and the total was like $15. I had 2 chicken and 1 asada and everything was well flavored and fresh. You go inside to order then sit outside and eat so it's literally the perfect place for taco Tuesday

I've been coming here for a few months for the Taco Tuesdays. I have to get the pollo con mole, steak in dark sauce and asada tacos. The prices can't be beat. But today I came for the Tostada Thursdays and I can't believe I never tried them here before. The celery shrimp is my new favorite and I will be back next Thursday to get some more. The horchata is also my go-to drink. The service is always great and the people are super friendly. Seating is outdoors only but they will turn on the heater for you if you ask.

Unique taco choices. Dine-In Taco Tuesday deals are a pretty good steal! They have a specific menu and you must order a fountain drink with the taco. Tried the chicharron taco and tinga de pollo. Chicharron would have been more enjoyable if it had some texture to it. Tinga de pollo was yummy. Small patio with heating option available. They serve alcohol!! Street parking available with payment or go around the corner and walk a bit for free parking.

Great food, looking forward to going there in warmer weather . The heaters were fine but chairs need to be higher. I can't wait to go there on a hot day and get an icy Michelada. Lots of vegetation options as well.
