Jack's Urban Eats

Not only is this place close to the office but it's always my go to, when I need a good BBQ Try-Tip Sandwich fix ! Plus, I order a side of Jack fries. If you don't know about those, let me school you for just a moment. So these taste just like McDonald's fries except they are jazzed up with chili oil, chili flakes , blue cheese crumbles , blue cheese dressing and chopped parsley for garnish. IYKYK and if you don't well.... You ought to ! This is definitely a big sandwich , the fires you can share. But there are days when I just want the trip tip over a salad, which is pretty amazing as well. This location get quite busy during the lunch rush. I try to avoid those hours and show up 2pm ish when everyone is back to work.

Food was good and the squash soup was Tangy and excellent and a little spicy highly recommended on winter days.

Almost removed three stars but the overall flavor of the food combined with good service saved them.The meat combo plate is very good. Nice portion, hot and fresh, and combined with the tomato soup (why does every tomato soup taste like the one you get in the bin at Safeway?) it makes for a complete lunch.The Cobb salad was the harder item to dissect. The dressing was good, plenty of variety in the salad but the Salmon that came on top was so small. It seemed to be about 4 ounces max which ends up being not enuf to eat. It was also not warm and not that juicy so maybe it was cooked earlier and put on top to handle the lunch rush? Luckily the soup rounded out the meal. Another strange point was no bread was served (not even just a slice) with salad or soup. It was my first time so i don't know if that is be design or just an oversight.Lastly, my co-worker wanted to get a burger for lunch. This place has a grill, makes good hot meats like the tri tip, but does not offer a burger. How does that work?It is a good place to eat overall but the observations above resulted in a dual star beat down.

Since getting a good, decent salad is tougher than you think, it really limits the options, at least in the greater Sacramento area. Sure you could go to the supermarket and pick up all the fresh produce or even get a premade salad kit but what fun is that? Which takes me to "Jack's Urban Eats", a very popular place to get an excellent fresh salad with locations all over the Sacramento region to serve you. In this case, I am reviewing the Gold River/Rancho Cordova location.This particular restaurant is at the Gold River Town Center directly off of Sunrise Blvd and adjacent to Golden Centre Lane surrounding many other restaurants, shopping, and retail stores. On any given day (depending what time you arrive), parking can sometimes be a challenge. But much of this area is spread out where I've never had any issues. This easiest way to find this Jack's Urban Eats is that it neighbors Blaze Pizza and directly across from a Raley's. I came here during the afternoon of Friday 11/25/2022 at around 2:15pm.Since I was very hungry, I decided on ordering two items off of their extensive menu, the "Greek Chicken Salad" and their "Chargrilled Chicken Sandwich". The ordering process here is identical to all of the other locations where you place your order at the counter. They provide you with a number and your drink cup and proceed to wherever you choose to sit. The inside of this place is well laid out but it is a bit on the darker side. Probably because it was a gloomy fall day which definitely didn't help.Once both my salad and sandwich arrived, they definitely did not skimp on the portions. My Green salad was loaded with seasoned white chicken which was tender, moist, and juicy. And my sandwich also hit the spot as the chicken in it was similar to that of my salad as well as a generous amount of mayo, lettuce, and tomatoes on a soft French roll. For both of these items being in the $9-11 range, the price itself isn't all that bad. I also took the other half of my sandwich home and enjoyed that as an evening snack. With that said and done, I am giving the Gold River "Jack's Urban Eats" an above average four-star rating.

Can't go wrong with Jacks. They have one of the best steak salads ever. That is typically my go to when visiting. The worker was very sweet, a new staff. But was helpful to my friend that had never visited a Jacks before.

We stopped by to refuel after a pickleball tournament and Jack's Urban Easts did well...You order at the counter, the staff provides you a table number and they bring your dishes out to you. The staff was friendly and the kitchen was quick with getting our orders to our party of 6Garlic Fries - Fries were crisp, garlic flavor was strong but not overwhelming. Definitely order if you enjoy Garlic Fries like I do.California Cheese Steak - Tasty beef on fresh bread. The sandwich came as described on the menu but I was hoping for a little more beef with this sandwich.Those who ordered salads in the group were happy with the freshness of the salads and dressing.A recommended stop if you're looking for a quick bite of sandwiches, salads and you're in the area. Enjoy!

We enjoy eating here but it's a guarantee $80 for our family of 5 (and that's with water only) so that means we don't come very often anymore. I usually go for the Jacks Classic Tri-Tip sandwich for $13. Tasty but not exactly filling. If this place was lowered their prices we would definitely come more often.

Got my to go salad half of the ingredients are not there.. so if you want eat in then it might be ok.. but to take out you never know what you getting and portion is a lot smaller

Love this place! I love the option to create my own salad! the food here is good quality and very reasonably priced! The service is quick and the line goes pretty quick.

What a sad experience. My company gave me a door dash code. I never use door dash but decided to order from here. My salad was poorly put together, lacked the extra things i paid for and came with two tablespoons of dressing. Two salads and fries came to 75.00. Door Dash is what it is but it was disappointing to eat just lettuce for lunch. Never had an issue with an order in the store. Dont do a to-go order
