This is one of my favorite breweries in the area. They have a lot of options to try. We were greeted right away and I ordered a flight because they have so many choices. There is a large outside area with tables to enjoy. We brought our dog and he loves to walk around and smell the flowers. Love their Blueberry beer and they also offer a good pumpkin during the fall.

This place was very calm and chill. Plenty of tables outside and the food came out pretty quick. We shared a combo pizza and had two beers. I would return. Doggie friendly as well!

Decent brewery with a nice outside seating area. They have cider and beer and they also have some food for sale so this is a good place to get a meal if you're visiting Apple hill. I tried a cider and a flight of beer.

A fun spot. Large open seating. Hard Cider, beer, and eats. Good place to bring the kids. They can run around while the parents have some adult time. Friendly service. Sometimes there is entertainment.

I've been coming to Apple Hill since I was a little kid and I've been visiting Jack Russell for a little over 10 years now. I always get the same thing: cider flight! I love tasting the various flavors and usually buy my favorite flavor to bring home. I love that this brewery is in the hills and away from the busyness of downtown. There is plenty of outdoor seating and if you are hungry, they also serve food! Lastly, my boyfriend prefers beer and they have a separate tasting room just for that!

Came for the beers and ciders but they were just alright. Lots of seating available and the place is dog friendly! Clean bathrooms and they even sell pizzas! Just wish the beers were a bit better.

Such a fun place with a huge selection of beers on tap, wines and ciders, as well as a family-friendly, warm and welcoming space for kicking back and hanging out. We loved stopping here at a recent trip to Apple Hill for a little break and were pleasantly surprised at how large the premises were. There's plentiful indoor and outdoor seating, picnic benches and umbrellas, and even a field for picnics or kids to play soccer while adults sip and talk. We opted to go to the "Cave" which offers wine and ciders and meads, and were helped by a friendly employee. We got a flight of 6 ciders/meads at $3 a pour, which was a great price and fun variety! In order, our favorites were the blueberry cider, then apple cider, raspberry cider, peach cider, blackberry cider, and wildflower mead. It was so fun to try and we enjoyed relaxing at Jack Russell.

The atmosphere was laid back and pleasant. However, I was underwhelmed by my visit to Jack Russel Farm. We did a cider tasting and also ordered the wildflower mead. The ciders were all okay, nothing great, but also nothing that could have been better either. The flavors were lackluster; most tasted very similar and were missing depth. I was hoping that as a brewery (in Apple Hill especially), there would be more potential flavors. I didn't notice much difference from the cider tasting at Boa Vista (which is equally underwhelming). I'm a big fan of hard ciders, and other breweries locally offer a much better selection with bolder tastes. The mead was unique but not my cup of tea. Glad I tried it through. The cider tasting was $18, and the pours were pretty large, so it was a good deal, just not that great flavor-wise. There was a BBQ food stand on-site, so we ordered a tri-tip sandwich with a side of the beans. It was good; however, for $18, it was not worth the price. I would not eat here again as it was nothing to write home about and a total rip-off for the portion size and quality. The atmosphere was relaxing and laid back. There were many picnic tables, benches, and umbrellas to sit back and enjoy your drinks/food. The farm is in Apple Hill, so there were pretty fall colors in November but not the best views. Unfortunately, they locked/closed their public bathrooms all fall season, so the only option is the portapotties. This was disappointing for the size/scale of the facility, especially since they are an actual brewery serving both foods and drinks. Not sure that I would be back, especially not year after year. However, it was fine to try a new place when visiting and do their cider tasting. They offer beer tastings as well (maybe the beers are better), but we didn't go for that so I can't speak to this. There seemed to be plenty of parking all around the edges of the farm (With the ability to walk up from 3/4 of the sides) so this was not an issue. Parking is free. Walk to the barn is generally flat, although it is gravel.

We came here for beer and cider, none of which was really our cup of tea. I feel like we are kind of beer snobs though, so you can definitely be the judge for yourself! Their picnic area is really nice. There is corn hole and giant size jenga. The cider/wine cave was very neat, as well. The service was great. Both of the people who helped us were very friendly.

The beer and cider are good. The pizzas smelled delicious but we had just eaten. Service staff was nice and attentive. It is usually really warm every time we go and usually there isn't enough shade. They e put up new canopies outside and those were very appreciated! I removed stars solely because I miss when they had vendors and different food trucks out there. It seemed like the vibe was better then. Other than that, this is a must stop when you are at Apple Hill.
