The food here was amazing. All noodles and pasta are made in house. I got the Tuscan Chicken and Shrimp and it was deliciously rich. The sun-dried tomatoes made it so good!My cousin got pasta with mariners sauce and shrimp and he said even that basic pasta was good. Another person in our group ordered the Lemon linguini and loved it. Very fresh taste. The baked ravioli was good and I think the sauce was vodka sauce (? It was orange). The bread was not ready so we ordered garlic bread. It had too much garlic but it is all fresh. The location is at an empty and hidden strip mall. But do not miss out. The food is too good to miss!

My experience tonight at this location was nothing short of a let down. After spending time looking at Yelp and wanting to try something new, we settled on trying Ippolito's. We arrived at 6:13pm, and a few of the staff looked in our direction and said nothing to us. At 6:20 we were finally greeted by the host who apologized for our wait and seemed friendly. He led us to our table and apologized once more for our wait. A large party was directly next to us, as well as one party leaving and another party that had already ordered. After roughly 10 minutes we decided to leave. No server ever came to our table or greeted us. We did see a male server in our area but he never acknowledged us or even looked at us other than when we initially arrived. On our way out, a lady was bringing us water and I explained that we had been waiting way too long for service. The lady apologized and stated "have a good night". I appreciate the gesture, but the service needs major work. I do understand I am not the center of the universe, but waiting nearly 20 minutes to even be greeted by a server? This isn't acceptable. If this location was jam packed and incredibly busy it would make much more sense. But that was not the case. I am let down that I did not get to try the food because it looked delicious and it smelled really great. I may give this place another chance in the future but tonight was not my night.

Delicious pasta. The salad was fine. The garlic bread probably came from the freezer. Overall the experience was mixed. The server was nice and attentive. But his enthusiasm seemed muted. I had the rigatoni and my wife had the eggplant parm. We both went home with leftovers, which we were stoked about. The Caesar salad was okay. The dressing was a little bland, almost like there were no anchovies in it. The garlic bread and the table bread were...not great. I often judge a restaurant by its bread, and if that were the case here, they would fail. The place is located in a strip mall, and a car sat in the parking lot with its lights on, shining directly in my face. Kind of annoying. Also, the bar had a giant TV set way too high. You're gonna destroy your neck if you go here to try and watch a game. The place was busy, but the service was prompt.

January 23, 2025 - Sacramento, CAI have been wanting to try this restaurant ever since reading the Sacramento Bee article last September that named Ippolito's Trattoria as the region's most underrated Italian restaurant. So when a friend suggested we meet there for lunch, I quickly agreed. There were 3 in our party, and I arrived first. I liked the ambiance of the restaurant, which gave off a cozy Italian vibe. But I had to wait a few minutes at the hostess stand before staff took notice that I was there. The layout of the restaurant is such that it is divided into two sections. I was led to the section with the bar, and was seated in a booth next to a window. I noticed immediately after being seated that the silverware on the table had this weird white fuzzy stuff on it (see my photo). Maybe lint from a towel? I don't know what it was, but I pointed it out to the server and he replaced it with no comment. The replacement silverware he provided had fingerprints all over it, so I'm not feeling we are off to a good start. My friends soon arrived, and we all decided to order the lunch special lasagna ($20.00), which supposedly came with salad and garlic bread. I ordered the Ippolito's salad (the other choice was Caesar.) Some of the lettuce in the salad I received was partially frozen, which made for an odd texture. I liked the ingredients in the salad, and the dressing, and if it weren't for the odd bits of frozen lettuce, I would have enjoyed this salad. We were told the garlic bread wasn't out of the oven yet, but would be served soon.On another note, the servers had on black aprons that were smeared with what looked like flour. It was not the most appealing look for serving food. Our lasagna arrived, and as we were served, we were again told that the garlic bread wasn't quite ready, but would be out soon. The look of the lasagna wasn't really appealing. It was a lump buried under a salmon-colored sauce, which seemed a bit odd to me. But okay, looks can be deceiving. Anyway, what I should have done was sent the lasagna back after the first bite, because it was not hot. I'm not sure why I didn't, but you know when you get that feeling that if you send it back, what you get in return is going to be worse that what you have??? It was kind of like that. The lasagna was cold, and the flavor was bland. So overall, not good. The garlic bread? Never did arrive. Now for the restroom...no hook to hang your handbag in the stall. Not at all okay...where am I supposed to put my bag, on the floor??? And they were out of paper towels. I wanted to let a staff member know, but as I left, there were no staff to be found. As I exited into the parking lot, I saw one of the servers in his car parked in front of the restaurant smoking a cigarette. I understand the need for breaks, but maybe a more discreet parking place would be more appropriate in this case. I will definitely not be back.

Came here on my birthday during dinner hours. The restaurant was at near capacity but there was no wait to be seated as we made a reservation for our scheduled time. Upon arriving, we were greeted by a host who sat us near the back. The initial greeting was good but the service went downhill quickly. It took too long to get our order taken and a party that came after us even received their complimentary bread first. The server didn't check up and the worst part was the wait for the bill. It took over 30 minutes of waiting before we decided to walk to a host. Service time was ridiculously slow and can be improved.

I tried Ippolito's for the first time at dinner on a Friday night. The spaghetti bolognese was not offered on their dinner menu (only lunch) but the staff was super accommodating and let me order a dinner portion of it. I'll definitely be going back.

I've tried this spot for both brunch and for dinner and it hit the spot. There was no wait for brunch and everything was so good, I was so impressed. You wouldn't think of hitting an Italian restaurant for brunch, but this is a secret gem. We came back for my friend's birthday and their pizza and pasta is really good as well. Highly recommend if you're on the hunt for a good Italian spot.

My friend and I went during the lunch special hour. I had the carbonara and she had a vegetarian pasta with cherry tomatoes. Service was excellent. Server was attentive and considerate of when to bring the next course. The lunch menu is generous. Starts with bread, olive oil with balsamic, and house soup. Next is your choice of caesar salad or the house salad. Finally your order! Restaurant is spacious and peaceful during the afternoon we were there. I will definitely be bringing more friends!

I can't say enough about this place! The service is always great and the fresh pasta is amazing and delicious. I have tried a few of their pasta dishes and have not been disappointed in any one of them. My fav is the wild mushroom tortellini and the Cesaretti Gamberetti. Their desserts also on point. This place does not disappoint - GO!
