10 stars for excellent service, delicious food and timely serving. The atmosphere was great. Bread and balsamic vinaigrette.was brought to the table. The two staffs attended to us, pleasant, friendly and timely. We ordered the calamari very delicious, perfect crunch not oily at all with marinara dipping sauce to go wiith. My partner had a glass of fresh, well-balanced golden yellow fruit driven and alpine flowered Borgo (white) to go with his Branzino- seabass. I chose a glass of languid and piquant light pink Donna to go with my seafood linguine- both wines are a perfect accompaniment. It was a beautiful lunch on Valentine's Day, from start to finish. Atmosphere was just right, we were not rushed, served accordingly, food was delicious and the wines were perfect. We walked thru the mall, had coffees and ended up with movies and popcorn. Beautiful day together. Go here tomorrow.

Noticed I never reviewed Il Fornaio. We like coming here because the service has always been great and we love the ambience. Whether brunch, dinner, or HH, it's always been a great experience. Our favorite dishes are Calamaretti Fritti, Carpaccio, Tagliatelle bolognese, and Calabrese pizza. If you haven't been, give them a try.

Dept Holiday Dinner [Roseville CA]Il Fornaio was their choice for a department dinner which we had tonight, it wouldn't be my first time dining here but it was for the majority in our group. Our reservation was at 4:00p, party of 5.I took a look at the menu prior to coming and it was either the Salmone Alla Griglia (grilled Norwegian salmon) or the Filetto al Vino Rosso (grilled beef tenderloin)... I chose the latter, of course... the company's paying ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ The meat was tender and flavorful, cooked to my liking. Loved the mushrooms and sliced potatoes. Didn't like all that onion and red wine sauce. Dessert was yummy. I tried the Vulcano (warm chocolate cake with creamy center). It was paired with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. I wasn't able to finish it. Too rich. Our server was great and our table was well taken care of.Review #0829 updated

Beautiful place. Service was ok not welcoming on arrival. But our waiter was great.The calamari I really like it was fresh. The pasta was ok but needed salt. The pizza was decent. Not really impressed by anything it was all just fine.

Il Forniao is one of the best restaurants for authentic Italian dishes. It's located in the Roseville Galleria Mall.The food is delicious, and servers are very well trained in five-star dining. It's the perfect place for special occasions, and elegant dining.I had the Pollo ai Funghi, which is the chicken breast with mushrooms and Marsala wine sauce, asparagus and mash potatoes. It was delicious. The chicken was very moist, and the sauce was rich and flavorful. Creamy mashed potatoes and perfectly grilled asparagus.My friend had the linguine and clams from the Specials menu, and she loved the clams, which was plentiful and said the wine sauce was delicious. The spumoni ice cream is the best I've ever tasted so it's a must.Our server, Jordan, was great. Attentive and very efficient and knowledgeable about the dishes, if you have trouble making up your mind. She, as well as the manager were so accommodating to us, and they are so sincere about making sure your dining experience is more than satisfactory. We left the restaurant so appreciative of our experience, and was the perfect ending of an earlier stressful day.I always say, if you want to impress someone, take them to Il Forniao.There is mall parking in the parking structure close by, and it's free.

Fast service... food was delicious. Our waiter was very nice and attentive. Just a minus on the steak... overpriced $55, was not worth it.Get the octopus appetizer!

We came here on Black Saturday to celebrate my son's 15th birthday after braving the crowds at Galleria mall. This was our first time at this location after having been multiple times to the downtown location. First off this place is a breath of fresh air compared to the stuffy and pretentious Ruth's Chris next door. The restaurant was elegantly decorated for the holiday season. The hostess and server were super attentive and enthusiastic. The appetizers and entrees were savory and satisfying. The desserts tasted amazing. We look forward to being regular customers.

Haven't been here in over 5 plus years. But time and again they hit it out of the park. A big thanks to Ryan managing this great team. He's very hospitable and not over bearing. Food was great, hat tip to the chefs! Samantha at the bar can throw down on an old-fashioned. Thank you Samantha. And keep doing what you're doing Ryan, your team works well together and it shows they care about how they serve!

Have been there before and food was great. Consistent quality and pricing was great. Staff was patient as made reservations and running 10 minutes late and they held our reservation. I am thankful for that. Ambience is homely with fire pits and open stove. Enjoyed during this time in the winter. Would recommend this place as we are staying at a close by hotel about 1 1/2 away.
