I haven't eaten here in over a year and recently ate there again twice. The first visit I had beef pho and it was incredibly delicious! The broth was super flavorful and the meat plentiful. So perfect for a cold winter's day. Today I ordered the B1. bahn mi sandwich with the headcheese and liver spread. Nothing less than phenomenal! The bread was perfection and they made it where every bite of the sandwich had a taste of everything on the sandwich: meats, veggies and spreads. And they were careful to not have seeds in the jalapeno so it wasn't too spicy! Phenomenal!! I also had the small egg rolls which are the traditional Vietnamese type made with the rice paper instead of an egg roll wrapper. So crispy and juicy and it comes with all the veggies and perfect nuoc cham! If you haven't tried this fast-serve restaurant you really are missing out!

Stopped into Folsom's Huong Lan Sandwiches for a quick bite. I'm familiar with the chain and have been to the one in South Sac once before. Shared an order of the A21 pork and shrimp spring rolls goi cuon ($7.25), and my main was the B7 Grilled Pork banh mi thit nuong (everything on it), $8.25. You could get either the Vietnamese veggies/fixins or a more basic lettuce and tomato dealio.Self serve water and plastic utensils, sauces and napkins provided at the table. Aside from appetizers and banh mi sandwiches, they also have pho, noodle soups, beef stews, vermicelli bowls, rice plates, pearl tea drinks and other beverages like coffee, fresh coconut juice, shakes, etc. The baguette bread on the sandwich was fresh and soft. The jalapenos weren't too spicy, although I could have done without the onion. Didn't seem like a ton of meat in the sando but then again they do carve out the bread so it might've been down inside. The spring rolls were good, as was the peanut dipping sauce. They did have a few grab and go cold drinks such as canned young coconut juice, and I noticed one plastic cup (lidded) of a sweet tapioca/sago & corn pudding, and some bread by the register for purchase too. Single restroom was clean, not a huge place but the food was better than I expected considering it's a far cry from Little Saigon.

I wanted something healthy so I decided to drop by Huong Lan in Folsom since I was in the area. I've been to the location in Sacramento but not Folsom. You order at the counter and the food will be deliver to the table. I ordered the pork chop, egg cake, shredded pork with rice. When I got to the table I was surprised that there weren't any pickled jalapeños. And when my food came out my rice was mushy! My dish was practically ruined. The service was okay. I haven't tried the sandwich at this location yet, but overall wouldn't recommend this place. Limited options and the food quality isn't as good as the Sacramento one.

I was craving a banh mi today and decided to head to Duc Huong first since it's my favorite spot to grab banh mi for the family. However, there was an unexpected wait, and with other errands to run, I decided to skip it. I remembered there's a Huong Lan in Folsom, so I made my way there instead.Unlike the Huong Lan on Stockton Blvd, which has goods to browse and purchase, this location is more minimalist. It feels more like an express storefront than a full dining experience. There are no seats for customers who order, so I ended up sitting at an open table just to avoid being in the way.I ordered two BBQ Pork Banh Mi sandwiches and shrimp spring rolls. The spring rolls were huge, and the sauce was decent--though I had to spice it up at home. The banh mi, however, was underwhelming. It lacked flavor, with the pickled veggies overpowering everything else. I wouldn't order the BBQ Pork again, but if you're giving this spot a try, I'd recommend going with the grilled pork banh mi instead. Hopefully, it's better!

I love having a Huong Lan in Folsom! When I was in my teens and twenties I would make the trek to 65th and Stockton just for a sandwich and now I can just drive up the street! It's the same great viet sandwich as the original location- same bread, same veggies, same meats. No sacrifice of quality in any way. I always get the #12 - my fave! I love their noodle bowl and crispy egg rolls as well. I haven't tried anything else at this location...yet!So easy to order online and pick up in store. Service is kind and helpful. There are tables inside and a self serve area for peppers and soda. If you haven't had a Vietnamese sandwich yet, you have to try :)

I loved my experience here! It is not the most established interior but it just feels authentic. Their cashier greeted us immediately with a great smile and let us take our time with our menu, since there was no line. THE FOOD?! The food was incredible. Just what my husband and I needed for this cold weather/ his cold. We ordered just the broth of the pho ($6) and 3 banh mi! My husband was hungry. We got the pork bbq and the teriyaki beef banh mi. My fav was definitely the teriyaki. We used the broth for dipping/ hot broth is just cozy! I would definitely go back here.

I came to Folsom for an infant photoshoot late in the evening and we got so hungry before traveling back to sac. I was delighted to see Huong lan has a location in Folsom. It was very different than the typical huong lan locations. This is more like a restaurant set up with tons of parking outside and seating inside. The restaurant is clean and neat and the food options are kept to the minimum which I wasn't overwhelmed with the amount I can purchase. They specialize in sandwiches so I came for the grill pork. I also ordered an avocado smoothie with less sugar. Bc we came so late, I wasn't able to see other options they have but what can be made in the kitchen like rice plates, soup and drinks. The service was quick. From ordering to receiving my food, it was a 6 minute pick up. The grill pork sandwich is so yummyyyyy! The bread is warm and crunchy. It's not too doughy. The meat was marinated well and was given a good amount. I am happy and satisfied with my order.

My partner and I discovered this spot on Yelp, and we were excited to swing by for a banh mi! Huong Lan Sandwiches delivered, and we both ordered grilled pork. The service was quick, which we appreciated as hungry guests. Our banh mis were delicious, and the bread is one of the best that I've had locally! They even sell the bread separately, and I noticed folks ordering it to go. I appreciated the amount of veggies, but wish that there was more meat. Overall, this spot offers a nice, casual dining experience and I would highly recommend if you're looking for a quick bite in the area.

We often do takeout from this place! Our sandwiches are good! We like the bread, the fresh vegetables, the classic style and our food is ready in a timely manner. We don't usually eat at the restaurant so ambiance is irrelevant for us. We live around the corner and this is my go to place for light soups and sandwiches!

Yup, my #1 favorite banh mi bread that I've had at a banh mi shop is right here (even better than at the OG location in South Sac). Hefty baguette that is crispy on the outside (and not roof-of-mouth-destroying crunchy) and light and fluffy on the inside. Best of both worlds texture-wise.As for banh mi filling, tasty stuff (I had the BBQ pork one) though a bit skimpy.Wasn't really a fan of the pork ball spring rolls (nem nuong cuon) here as the pork balls were dry and had a slight unpleasant grit to them.Iced milk coffee (Vietnamese style) tasted instant or it just had a bunch of additives. Not remarkably strong either.Polite staff. Interior seating available. Wasn't busy when I visited on a Saturday.Located in a plaza that is far less hectic compared to the one that has the OG location lol so if Folsom isn't too far of a drive for you I suggest heading over here for your banh mi cravings.
