Huntington Learning Center Citrus Heights

After an abysmal time of remote nonlearning during covid, I enrolled my 8tj grade grandson in HLC. After he completed his 50 hours, he jumped from several grades behind to a grade ahead in his performance. He is now a sophomore and performing very well in high school, getting all A's and B's.He began HLC as a kid who thought he was dumb, and left filled with confidence which has stayed with him throughout high school. He just turned 16, has a job to support his car and continues to do well. Our family couldn't be more pleased with HLC, Debi and her staff. Thank you all!

Absolutely love this place! My son was really struggling with reading and schooling. He has been here less than a year and is progressing each and every day. The confidence he has is amazing. Staff is great. Mrs. Deb and Mr. David are so helpful as well. Thank you for helping!

My 4th grade daughter has struggled with reading and writing from the get-go. For 2 years I blamed myself for not working hard enough on helping her get at reading level. We did flashcards, read to her every night, had her struggle to read to me, had her attending extra reading sessions in before and after school (which seemed like torture to her) and many at home activities. In third grade her teacher (who had previously worked at the HLC) knew right off the bat that my daughter was very smart, had an extensive verbal vocabulary but she struggled with reading and writing. Long story short, that year my daughter was diagnosed with ADHD, dyslexia and we had an IEP in place for her. All of this affected her not only academically but socially as well, since she was very aware that she was not at reading level. She just didn't understand why she could not read nor write like her classmates, yet yearned to be able to. Over the summer I bought a Groupon and decided that we would give tutoring a try. At the HLC my daughter was assessed and prescribed hours to get her at 4th grade reading level. From when she started to when she stopped my daughter, who would not even attempt to read nor write in the beginning of the school year, went up two grade levels in reading and was excited to be reading everything she could in sight. Everyone at the HLC is extremely supportive and friendly. Not only are they fully accredited but they are also up to date to school district's standards (i.e. Common Core). The price is expensive, but having my daughter reading and writing is priceless. I am looking forward to continue taking my daughter to the center over the summer to keep her up to grade level and plan to continue taking her whenever needed. I strongly recommend the HLC. Seeing my daughter's confidence go up and her anxiety of going to school go down has given a peace of mind that I needed for a long time.

We are so thankful for Citrus Heights Huntington Learning Center. Yes, the ads are a bit corny and predictable! But, Debi and her team (David especially) are no nonsense professionals focused on one thing-your child's success! Their evaluation is spot on and they will make modifications to meet your needs. They are on your side. Quantifiable improvement is their only measure of success. We regret that we did not go sooner. I don't even know where to start! From the moment I met with Deb I knew Keigan was home! I knew he would be loved & will learn! He loves it there & loves every single teacher. Thank you Huntington for giving us hope!!

My daughter has struggled with studying, writing, reading & math for quite some time. I even had her tested for learning disabilities. I was talking with some other parents who recommended Huntington. I had my daughter assessed & Deb took the time to explain the details of my daughters assessment & the areas of concern & how they could help. She is going to be a sophomore in high school & did okay in her freshman year but had to work extremely hard. My daughter was not super thrilled to spend her summer tutoring but has admitted that it is already helping her a great deal. I am very excited to see how her hard work pay off in the upcoming school year. The staff is caring, fun & awesome! I highly recommend them.

This our first attempt at a tutoring center. So far our experience has been good. The staff is friendly although I feel that they could have been more thorough in explaining how it works. The price is steep and for a normal family it may be impossible to budget. They do offer no interest tuition loans, but the cost is still staggering. For my child's education I am willing to put forth the effort and pay the cost. The staff are fully accredited teachers and with the state budget cuts our public schools just do not offer the support my child needs. Huntington learning center fills that much needed gap.

My son was struggling with math big time, when he started at HLC they did both math and language arts. He didn't really need help in that department or so I thought. Not only is he exceeding standards in language arts, but he is also flying through his math lessons. He is not a kid that likes tutoring, but he loves coming here. He says the teachers make him feel like he matters and he would rather learn from them then go to school. He will be well into 4th grade math and language arts before he even starts school in August. This being our first attempt at a professional tutoring service, I was surprised at the sincerity of motivation they see in each child. My son is now advancing almost everyday!!! He comes home excited to tell us he is excelling!!!!! What a huge difference in his over all confidence!! Big thanks to Mrs.Deb & staff
