Hula Hawaiian BBQ

We had a company Hawaiian themed Groom's Shower in June. 10 people had lunch, having ordered 2 family meals. The food was so delicious! We ate till we were full. The take home was almost a full family meal. We could have fed all 10 of us off one family meal.We ordered the day before. We picked up our food and it was hot and ready at 10:50am.All sauces, utensils, etc were included.The macaroni salad was hands down the best we've had. All of us agreed.The meat was so good and moist.Will be back!!!! Thank you for making our wedding shower a success!

Came here for lunch since I was craving Hawaiian BBQ in West Sac. It's one of the few options for Hawaiian nearby but the food is mediocre.Chicken Combo: C+Good portions for the price. However the chicken was a little dry. The teriyaki chicken needed more sauce to help out.Chicken Musubi: C+These were okay, but didn't think the chicken was moist enough.I ordered online and it took longer than expected since they messed up the musubis.

Came here after a busy target run, wasn't expecting much but a quick little food stop. Customer service was top notch! I liked that they didn't rush me to order and gave me a couple of minutes to figure out the whole menu. This was my first time ever trying Hula, but I've been to other places (Ono/L&L). When walking in, you're greeted with a clean, and spacious area to sit if you decide to dine in. The place looks like it's well taken care of. I was surprised they sell sushi rolls here, I regret not getting any. I personally thought the food was delicious, however I do have a few things that I noticed is lacking. I thought the katsu chicken would have came with sauce but you have to ask them and it's a charge which is expected. The vegetables had no flavor to it, however it's still good to eat. The macaroni had no taste to it either. I think besides everything, the meat was delicious. It wasn't too dry, but also not dry at all. It was well cooked and I enjoyed very bite.

Haven't been here in years but we ended up eating here for dinner one day since our first choice had too long of a line. It's so dark and dreary in here, they need some better lighting! There are boxes everywhere as if they use their main dining area for storage. The cashier was not friendly at all and I stood there staring at her for a good 20 seconds while she was on her phone until she realized we were waiting to order. The size of the mini plate is pretty good and I liked that they cook the cabbage that is placed underneath the meat, rather than just putting uncooked cabbage for filler. The spam and katsu musubi were good but not tightly wrapped so they fell apart instantly. Otherwise the flavors were all there. Don't expect anything fancy or outstanding but if you're just in the mood for some quick Hawaiian takeout, this is your spot. But otherwise I think I would rather go to L&L for better service and atmosphere.

My daughter loves coming here for the Spam Musubi. We always get pretty good service. We usually don't have to wait long. She absolutely love the Spam Musubi. I tired the BBQ Chicken Musubi. I didn't like the seaweed wrap. It had a very strong smell. I took it off and was able to eat the rice and chicken. I wouldn't order it again but my daughter keeps coming back for her Spam Musubi.

Location- near Target Shopping center. I was in the area and looking for a quick meal which this place supplied. Rice and macaroni salad were cooked to standard. Chicken Katsu was served hot/crispy and seemed to have a bit of a ginger flavor to it, which was different. Not bad..just different. Also portion size was plenty for the mini, which makes up for the price of the plate.

I've only been here a few times and had different menu items. Everything has always been really good, the employees are always nice and you don't have to wait too long for your food either.

Nothing wrong with the service but food itself was pretty bland.Seemed like they were just dumping rice and meat onto plates.

My sister ordered me the Crab Lagoons and the California Roll. The California Roll was fresh, delicious, and the perfect size. I didn't really care for the Crab Lagoons.

It's beyond of ridiculous of Kalbi short ribs plate for $13.99 before tax and side order of two short ribs for $32.00. I will never come back again.
