They sell Hula Buns donuts at Deopo Coffee in Auburn. They sell out pretty early in the morning.

Apparently, they are permanently closed. I was disappointed, for according to their online menu, they offered some real treats.

I travel ALOT and have tried MANY donut spots but this the best I've ever had. They even beat out the more cliché fancy ones in the downtown metro areas. I had the crème brule donut and it was to die for! I had to find a quiet spot, like in Ally Mcbeal, for that first bite & coffee sip. AHHH! Yah it was that good! The price was right for the quality vs the quantity and requires a return visit. These guys just opened so I can't wait to see what they do with coffee options later on. Speaking of which, the one star comment by Matt C (the cat DJ) is suspect. I mean come on 1,206 reviews, there is no quality to Matt's one star review and he violates Yelp review guidelines by reviewing on competitors in his industry, 198 of them. Here, Matt posts that he would rather stuff Wal-Mart donuts in his face to get more quantity instead of, as he claims, Hula Buns makes "a better tasting donut". I hope people make more reviews to counteract this kind of fake engagement. In a nutshell, Hula Buns makes superior quality pastries, call ahead is available, it's a pick up only joint; so the ambience is not for sitting and working, you can see a real kitchen in operation right behind the cashier, you see that the donuts are fresh, it's easy to find, the parking is good AND THEY DELIVER SMALL AND LARGE ORDERS! My co-workers are going to so LOVE ME!

I have found some of the yummiest donuts ever. Hula Buns Bakery is so awesome. Bitting into the fresh baked deliciousness lites me up.They have become my go to desert treat especially when I have guests. (Or when I want something delish)I highly recommend you give them a try. They are on my short list and always have my orders prepared, ready for pickup!

I was not impressed by this pseudo bakery.Paid $5 for a fancy donut, it's not worth that price! Not even worth $2 apiece in my opinion.FYI, Wal-Mart sells two Boston Cream donuts for $2, they are filled with vanilla and chocolate cream, and they are almost as good as the donuts from this place!

Oh, my goodness. If you want to up your donut game, find a time Hula Buns is in their shop...or out in their shaved ice/donut truck. The BEST, most unique donuts we've ever had -- and excellent customer service. You won't be disappointed!

Wow, wow, wow, wow, wow!!! This place is amazing. Donut shop, but elevated! So glad we have such a great place to get fancy treats in Auburn. We have a great local donut place, too, but this place is special. The flavors and decorations are something you find in a big city, like Sacramento, so having it here is a treat on its own. We were also thrilled to se that they have malasadas. THAT is not easy to find up here. The flavors change, so you have to ask what the flavor of the day is. We got the passion fruit, and it was mild, but tasty. The Crème Brûlée was everyone's favorite, and had the signature crunchy sugar top.Hard to find, and their sandwich board is behind and around a few buildings, but if you GPS it, it's pretty easy. I think the sandwich board should be on the main street , but there is a big banner that says, "DONUTS". For a nice get together, or gathering, these donuts definitely pass as pastries. They even have a few pizza items to add to their sweet menu. We are definitely going to be return and frequent customers!

This is worth the calorie and price splurge. Hula Buns is a special place that I hope Auburn supports Thursday- Sunday.

We had bacon maple and cheese cake. Both were amazing! Will definitely come back to try more flavor.
