Enjoyed over the years watching football here. Nice stadium , facility is clean and taken care of and bleaches might be a lit hard to sit for couple hours so make sure you bring a sports chair or blanket to sit on and a little narrow when walking in the rows. Consessions varies with popcorn , drinks , hotdogs and nachos.Parking garage $2 , go early to find a good parking spot or catch the light rail that stops near the stadium.

Great place to watch a game! I am watching the Sacramento Sirens slaughter the California Quake! The field is amazing. The artificial turf looks great and is well maintained. The bathrooms are clean and well stocked! This a big pro for a stadium. In addition, there are several stalls, so there is no wait! The parking is close to the stadium which makes it a quick jaunt to get to the field. Also, there is not a fee to park! Score!Great Stadium!

For an old city college stadium, Hughes Stadium still works well. Their recent upgrades make the facility a good place to see a game. Besides Sacramento City College games, the stadium is used by high schools, regional events, and even a few Sacramento Republic FC games.Restrooms are basic, but upgraded and relatively clean. Concessions are highly variable based on the event. The stadium is all bleacher seating, so prepare accordingly. Parking can be a challenge, but it is directly attached to light rail making it easy to park at 47th Street or Power Inn and take the train in and out.

used to go to Hughes stadium to walk the track & stairs since i live nearby but today i got stopped by a security for trespassing and asked to leave. when i informed the security guard that the front gates were unlocked and that i have never been stopped by security before i was told that only active students and staff may use the stadium & i should check with Operations Office but had no information on how to get ahold of this office. So disappointed but i will return hoping this is just an overzealous security guard.

Aesthetically, the newly remodeled Hughes Stadium is a sight to behold. Especially for those that played/watched games/ran in the old Hughes. A new coat of paint on the outside is just the begining, brand new bleachers, new field turf (not the grass that would turn into a brown spot with a green-ish border during high school football season) and renovated facilities all await you inside. So why the 1 Star review? Because in order to use these facilities you have to jump over the locked fence. With the old Hughes, you could walk right in at any time of day up til about 8 p.m., throw your stuff on a bench and run the track or 24 wells of the most butt kicking stairs there are, you could run all you wanted in Old Hughes, but you were gonna have a hell of a time walking out.Now if you show up any time after 4:30, you can check both entrances, see them bolted shut, see no information of when the track is available to users (or staff & students for that matter), and get back in your car and drive off to your gym of choice. Students, "Security" and Parking Enforcement were little to no help in deciphering when the Stadium was open (and a call to the Sac City Facilities number was unreturned at this point). Some of the tennis players hollered at me that it was okay to climb up over the turnstile fence, because everyone who uses the track seems to do it. I guess I could add Trespassing to my rap sheet, but why run stairs BEFORE running from Campus Police?

Normally I would have rated this a lot higher and usually love coming here for events and I would seriously second guess ever coming back after last Saturday's Sac Republic game and I am sure a ton of fans would agree. After a great game the one thing every fan wants to do is just leave and not sit in a parking lot for 45 mins because the stadium and the local campus PD can't get their stuff together...instead of letting everyone out the normal way they tried to funnel everyone out single file out the back way. This was just stupid! The only reason I am not rating this a 1-star is because I have been to a lot of other games and this hasn't been the case, but if it happens again it will quickly be one. So I hope the staff that runs Hughes is reading this and you get your act together. The fans are depending on you!

This stadium is huge! I've been attending SCC for about two years now. Im the captain of the jazz dance team, and this stadium is the perfect spot for any type of practice! Also, there are a lot of events that happen here!

I enjoy exercising here, it's outdoors, there is a strong wind that carries during the early evening. The stairs are popular for athletes to use. The track is wonderful for runners. There is one water fountain towards the enterance. The Hughes stadium doesn't have hours posted, but once it's unlocked, the community can use it as a personal gym. Sometimes there is physical education class in session or football/soccer practice are in play. Overall, great community exercise center for anyone that is working to be in shape.
