We just held a wedding there and they were wonderful! The facility is so pretty and the courtyard wonderful. Deb helped my daughter through the whole process and the wedding couldn't have been any better!

I would absolutely recommend this venue for anyone searching for their perfect wedding location. Deb and her husband are professional, knowledgeable and help guide you through the process with ease! The place is beautiful both out in the courtyard and inside. They provide a great variety of food for your party which is catered through the owners business (Cracchiolo's). We chose the Tri-tip dinner and it was AMAZING. We received many compliments on dinner. It's a one stop shop for receptions which alleviates the stress of having a million vendors to manage. Now onto the main reason behind this review--the service we received the day of the wedding. It was amazing! Staff was professional, timely and on top of every need both of my fiancée and myself but all of our guests without being overbearing one bit. Overall awesome experience!

This Historical Landmark in Woodland, CA was the scene for my recent school reunion. The banquet room, the main dining room and the courtyard in the back looked all new. The dance floor is large enough to hold a big group. The main dining room had about eight or nine large tables placed with enough room for more in the center sans dance floor. The outside court yard was also redone in the Victorian design, with a nice water fountain. The price for attendance was somewhat high and was the reason the reunion didn't get more returning students. If you're looking for this type of setting for a wedding reception in Woodland, CA, this could be the place you have been looking for, just beware of the costs.

After investigating a couple of wedding venues in Davis with MUCH higher costs, my now-husband and I stumbled across a listing for the Historic Hotel Woodland on the Yolo County Visitors' Bureau site. We booked an appointment with Debbie Cracchiolo (the venue and catering coordinator), and we immediately fell in love with the ballroom and courtyard. Both are very picturesque.Throughout the planning process, Debbie was an absolute joy to work with. She had great communication with the vendors to make delivery arrangements for the cake, flowers, etc. The evening before the wedding, she ran a smooth and efficient rehearsal. And on the big day itself? She personally made sure that the ceremony started on time and that everyone was right on their cues.Best of all, our guests RAVED about the buffet dinner catered by Cracchiolo's. We had a carving station (which did not cost much more than if we had served the meats pre-cut) with turkey and tri-tip. My friends still talk about the amazing tri-tip. And I cannot forget to mention that everyone loved the homemade macaroni and cheese we included as a fun and slightly offbeat choice. Delicious! As if the fabulous service and food weren't enough, we actually came in UNDER budget for the venue, food and bar. And that was after spending a little extra money to have the dining room chairs covered (not the most visually appealing chairs, unfortunately). Under budget?! Unheard of in the wedding game. If you plan to have a decent-size dance floor, I think the venue works best for about 50-110 wedding guests.

We absolutely loved having our wedding at the Hotel Woodland in July 2014! Deb is accommodating, knowledgeable, and wants to help make your special day exactly how you want it, as well as affordable. We had a fantastic time at the wedding, and our 180 guests were raving about the beautiful space and delicious food. The Hotel Woodland space is gorgeous. Our ceremony was outside, and the setting was terrific. All of our guests fit nicely in the main hall for the dinner/dancing reception. The indoor hall is beautiful. We played off of the room's art deco style in our invitations and decor, though we did not need to add much since the space is already so pretty and intricate. The food and drinks were great, and the staff working our wedding was very responsive. The tri tip, chicken, potatoes, and asparagus were all especially tasty. We had an ice cream sundae bar, and we also got cake from Timothy's Bakery next door, which worked out well since Hotel Woodland works with them often. We did a beer/wine bar with two signature vodka cocktails, which ended up being very affordable while also still giving guests a good set of options. Based on Deb's recommendation, we used Robb at RDM DJ across the street on Main Street. Robb and Deb worked very well together, helping make our wedding run very smoothly!Overall, Deb was fantastic to work with, and we could not be more pleased with how our wedding turned out. Deb thinks of all the little details and does a great job at making you feel relaxed and in good hands throughout the wedding planning process. Thanks Deb and the Hotel Woodland!

Came for a a wedding, and almost got lost here.I was told before hand by the groom to enter into the Back...I really didn't expect much, yet it prove to be a beautiful historical buildingwith a Art Deco style, the place itself holds a banquet room with a style to hold a wedding, this place can be used for that or failed high school reunions. The only thing missing was a fireplace. I kinda got cold.So the dancing warmed me up a bit. Definitely, a sleeper given the location. Woodland has alot to offer.and the patio spot has a fountain for your photo ops,and the overall facilities are worth checking out if your planning to get hitched.I only gave it 4 stars, simply because I felt the dance floor wasn't big enough. And I wish they had a seperate bar with a television so I could've watched the49er game. :/Yet, The hotel food was amazing, I had the Tri-tip and some salsa chicken thingy....It was better than other banquet food, I've had before and the house staff was awesome! The food almost left me in a food coma. Almost!Overall, if you looking for a wedding for a decent price try this place outand hire me as a wedding planning, I have some great ideas!I'm thinking"The great Gatsby wedding theme!"

Another great local wedding option: located in downtown Woodland, the hotel's Art Deco interior and lovely courtyard make this facility worth a second look: Woodland is always cooler than Sacramento, and the 100-year old pine tree provides complete shade on the patio, so your guests will NOT BAKE at your weddingThe food and beverage is aptly handled by Cracciolo's catering (second best catering in Yolo county, after The Buckhorn catering).Debbie (wedding coordinator) is fun to work with and very well-organized, and the air conditioning is in excellent condition. The Historic Hotel Woodland is one of my favorite places to perform as a wedding DJ. I don't mind driving the extra miles to Woodland, and I won't charge extra for these types of premier facilities.

I think if you're getting married in the Sacramento/Bay Area you should DEF. check out this place. Deb does an AMAZING job in helping you coordinate and works hard to make sure you get things just right. I can't say enough on how smooth planning and wedding day went. I would choose this place over and over again! Also, the food is delicious (and portions are BIG).

Just celebrated my wedding here and it was perfect, in large part due to Deb and her staff. We were able to hold the ceremony and dancing outside in a beautiful brick courtyard covered in plants and ivy and then the dinner reception inside. There are a lot of gorgeous decorations inside and out to make the space feel beautiful and rustic without feeling cheap or sterile. We didn't need to bring in (and pay for) many of our own decorations because the venue spoke for itself. The venue was very reasonably priced, especially considering the individual time and care that is put into each wedding. There were no hidden fees (ie. cake cutting fees) and the venue worked with us.In addition, the food was amazing! The chicken cordon blue and stuffed mushrooms were both huge hits as main dishes. Additionally, we had several vegan and gluten free people at our wedding, and we were able to design a menu that was delicious and accommodated everyone (and we walked home with a ton of leftovers). I highly recommend the roasted potato and cold pasta salad side dishes! For anyone in the area, I would highly recommend this venue for the personal care, the delicious food, beautiful venue/decor, and price!

I would recommend this venue to everyone I know. I was planning a celebration of life for my husband and throughout the whole process, Deb was great! She was professional and knowledgable, incredibly easy to work with, and she super flexible in accommodating what I wanted to do (which was dessert at breakfast time in honor of my husband's favorite meal). The price was great, the venue was amazing, and everyone absolutely loved the food. I would recommend Deb and this venue to everyone I know.
