Hot Off The Griddle

Hot off the griddle, onto a plate, and right into our stomachs! This is one of my family's favorite spots for breakfast and lunch. Their food is consistently delicious, no matter what we've ordered, from fluffy pancakes to patty melts. Be mindful and try not to let your eyes be much bigger than your stomach though, because their portions are no joke!They have a very cute "country kitchen" feel and it is always very comfortable. It almost makes me feel like I'm back in my grandma's kitchen, eating her home cooked food. It can get super crowded, especially on the weekends, but it is always worth the wait and they're usually fairly quick to get you in and seated. The waiters and waitresses are a huge part of why it is always a phenomenal experience as well though, because they are tentative, kind, and all seem to be quite friendly. They always greet us with a positive attitude and fantastic service!

First time visit. Stopped by to try the breakfast. Restaurant was pretty busy but only waited about 15 minutes but the service was great. All waiters and waitresses work together making sure drinks such as coffee and waters were constantly filled. Ordered the Bacon little breakfast with a single pancake & the GOTG omelette plate with a coffee and hot chocolate.Bacon little breakfast was the perfect portion not too small not too, but bacon was a little too crispy but other than that everything was great egg was cooked Perfect, house potatoes were seasoned just right. Pancake was nice and fluffy and came to the table hot. Omelette was big & delicious. They are not greedy with the meat in omelette. The plate was big & I had enough to take some home for later. Many options for breakfast and lunch on the menu and they also have a large mimosa menu with many great flavors.Service from the time we walked in talking to the hostess was great. Everybody is very tentative and works together. The wait time for food was not long at all, from the time we placed the order with the waiter. We got our plates within 10 minutes which was good timing for the restaurant being very busy. Restaurant was also very clean.

Food was unique and all amazingSeasonal fruit bowl was actually seasonal - it's Autumn right now and it was Fuyu persimmon, pomegranate Ariel's and blood oranges.My soft scrambled eggs were actually soft and the sausage seemed homemade. Can't be sure but they definitely weren't Farmer John!Hubby's pancake was great and the bacon was huge slices and so flavorful!Service was great, Mitchell was knowledgeable about the menu and stopped by just enough times without being annoying.We'll definitely be back

If you're looking for some good breakfast in the Natomas area, Hot Off The Griddle is the spot to go! A friend and I tried for the first time and we will certainly be back again. Hot Off The Griddle is on the end within a small shopping center. Be prepared for a short wait if wanting a table. They may have bar seats available and you can go sit down right away. All staff were friendly and provided exceptional service. The portion sizes were huge and worth the price. All food was fresh and hot! I had two scrambled eggs with fruit and pancakes.

For this small portion of a plate is actually worth the $12! First of all, I love how evenly spread the butter is! Unlike other places the butter in the bread is typically a small portion of it in the center. This one spreads everywhere around the bread. Second of all, I love how small the Lil Breakfast plate is coming from someone who does not eat a lot for breakfast/lunch! Once you enter the restaurant, you can sit wherever you want. The workers here are super nice and they make me feel like I am welcomed here! Definitely would come back again for a lil brunch date with myself or with my loved ones!

Cute, casual, and clean atmosphere. Service was fast and friendly. The mushroom burger wasn't the prettiest, but had fantastic flavor and heaping amounts of grilled onions. We upgraded to the onion rings which were super crispy. The pancakes were dense and relatively standard fare. The sausages were really tasty and had a great snappy bite. Portions were large overall, but proportional to price. Would come back.

Upon opening the door the room smelled so sweet like donuts. The decorations were really cute here. And they had Halloween cut outs for the kids to take pictures in. The service was really nice. I loved how often they asked to refill coffee, water etc. The food was of great portion and tasty. I can't complain with that. I did not like how my bacon was soggy. It was put on the bottom of my plate and then the rest of the food was on top. This is why I knocked down a star. I like having my bacon somewhat crispy ! (Luckily my friends bacon piece was great) I also wish I could have added and created my own plate. Not really excited that I'd have to pay extra to add fruit instead of subbing out my potatoes or that toast didn't come with the option I wanted. I usually like having eggs, toast, bacon, sausage , fruit and a choice to add a pancake or waffle or toast ... With the options provided I didn't seem like I could get all of that under $20. Anyways , I would be back to try it again and hope that my bacon would come out crisp. The pancakes were so delicious and I would get that again. The potato's were not my favorite. I could do without.

Tasty food, excellent service!This is a popular spot for brunch on the weekends, so be prepared for a bit of a wait. The food hits the spot, with some classic brunch items like omelettes, chicken fried steak and benedicts. Nothing fancy or hipster here, they stick to the classics that will satisfy your brunch cravings. And don't miss the very long list of mimosa options!Thank you for the very good service too!

I ordered the corned beef hash with pancakes. I also had eggs over hard and two sausage links. This breakfast was amazing, and the portions were a nice size. The pancakes were sweet and fluffy. The corned beef hash was well-seasoned and very flavorful. The sausage links were pretty good as well. For my beverage, I had a large glass of orange juice.

This place was really nice! Family friendly restaurant and busy on a Sunday. Their breakfast that I ordered was delicious Employees were nice as well.
