Have gone here for many years and it is my Chinese fav!!!!! Reasonable in price so my book club is delighted when we meet and enjoy an awesome lunch. They never never rush us !!!! Portion size is large with soup and egg roll included. My fav is Mongolian beef and my husband loves sweet and sour chicken. Service is great. And you can order an item mild even if the menus has that spicy notation. Please come and enjoy a wonderful lunch or dinner. If we don't ... family owned gems like this one will close

Since I was coming down the hill after a day hike in Placerville, I stopped by Hong Kong Inn to grab takeout to celebrate New Year's Eve. I was not in the mood to cook dinner and remembered this restaurant was nearby. The food was pretty good, Americanized Chinese style. They cook without MSG which I appreciate. I ordered the chicken fried rice and tangerine chicken. The fried rice was fantastic. The rice was light and fluffy with absolutely no oiliness. Very clean tasting. The pieces of chicken were cleanly cut pieces of light meat. The tangerine chicken was good. It was not overly sweet since they do not use HFCS sauces or MSG. The coating was not over floured and the chicken was moist. The menu has a hot chili pepper next to the tangerine chicken but you can ask for it to be cooked mild. Still yummy either way. The interior is a bit outdated but clean. The folks that work here are so darn kind. Another great thing about this place is the lunch ~$10.50 and dinner specials ~$13 are offered every day, not just on the weekdays.

One of my favorite wonton soups I've ever had! They are fairly priced and very fast service.

Mushy wonton soup today. Not only that but they crammed a large order into a quart takeout container do there was barely any broth. Come on really?? And the price is high which is fine if I get quality. Seems to me that Chinese restaurants which have typically been inexpensive in the past are taking biggest advantage of pandemic inflation. Not just this restaurant but others as well. I guess I will just have to make my own.

This is a great consistent place! Go for lunch! So good!! Lunch is Monday thru Saturday until 300. Sharp!

Food is consistently good. Service is fast and prices are reasonable. We like to order pork fried rice, walnut shrimp, and some kind of chicken dish usually sweet and sour chicken. Reliable quality.

Stopped in because everyone says its the best chinese food. I ordered a lunch special of shrimp and veggies. Brought it home so find sweeet and sour shrimp. It wasn't terrible,just not what I ordered. The rice was not fully cooked and was almost crunchy. The spring roll was soggy. Not thebest chinese food. When I went in, the staff was all sitting and having lunch together which is fine,just service seemed slow because of it. Definitely not what was expected

pork fried rice should have pork in it... yall literally gave me fried rice... eggs and white rice... never can get an order right. so sad

Great food and service - it's our go to Chinese food place in Placerville. The egg rolls are to die for along with the won ton soup!
