Hong Kong House

I got take out and the egg rolls were nice and crispy served with sweet and sour sauce. My main dish was General Tsoa's chicken and chow mein. It was good but the chicken could have used more spice for my taste. I think of General Tsoa's chicken as a spicy dish and many time it is not.The space itself has a bright with lots of windows and probably seats around 30 people. It was clean and the staff were very friendly.

Pretty run down restaurant but that didn't ruin my experience here. Service was friendly and quick. There was only 1 lady working that day but she did a really good job in serving all the dine in and take out customers.Taste wise, average for Chinese food. Portion was decent.

Things done changed unfortunately. Went in on a Sunday night to grab a meal to watch Sunday night football and ordered the BBQ spare ribs with half chow main and half rice. I was so let down. The spare ribs weren't tender, the chow mien was all noodles no veggies, the rice was bland also. The lady at the counter wasn't rude, but she wasn't friendly either. Paid a little under $20 for this order to go. This last experience makes it hard to want to go back. We'll see.

Have been in a few times since Covid and wasn't too impressed. I came in for lunch today because I work nearby. I got green bean & beef lunch special. They are pricy now, but who isn't. Good part is the taste & serving size was on point!! Delish

Double mushroom with tofu was disgusting. Swimming in bell peppers and hardly any good mushrooms. I took one bite and threw it in the trash. Now my car smells bad

I ordered Szechuan prawns. I got tiny shrimp. It is always deep fried, but not theirs. The sauce was just ok. I couldn't finish. There was a cream cheese filled fried wonton that was tough as if it had been fried much earlier and then warmed over.

Best spicy garlic eggplant around. I've tried a lot of other places, but this place is the best one of my favorite dishes there also, their egg rolls are on point.

First time there ordered the lemon/orange chicken with fried rice. The portion is good but the taste of the fried rice is awful. Salty soy sauce flavor only. Second time kung Paola chicken with steamed rice. Portion is pathetic. For ~$14 I expect more portion. In short, inconsistent qualities.

ROACH IN FOOD:Listen, I never do Yelp reviews, but I had to. I tried this place due to its close location from work. Eating and noticed this roach mixed in the chow mein. Ruined my appetite. Inspect your food prior to digging in.
