Had my first visit to Hings today. The food was good. I had the Mongolian BBQ all you can eat. A very reasonable price. Considerably cheaper than Mongolian BBQ in Natomas area in Sacramento. Plus it's all you can eat and the comparable restaurant in Natomas isn't. The Service was good and friendly. They definitely seem to care about the customer. It was a comfortable pleasant relaxed experience. If you haven't checked them out yet, you should.

First time customer. We ordered Shrimp & Broccoli, house fried rice & General Tso's. I was disappointed that white rice didn't come with the 2 entrees. I've never had to order white rice separately at other restaurants. The white sauce on Shrimp & Broccoli was super bland. The breading on the General Tso's chicken was mushy, instead of crispy. We asked for the fried rice to be fried hard...and it wasn't.

First time in, and decided on a lunch special as it was still within the 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM window. The vegetarian options intrigued me, but this time I went with the real General Chicken, with fried rice and chow mein. This came with egg flower soup (dine-in), and a veggie egg roll with sweet and sour sauce. The egg flower soup was piping hot, although I noticed that some of the peas were more fresh/bright green and some looked like they'd been in there awhile. The overall lunch portion was huge! The chicken was neither crispy nor soggy, but the sauce was more than sufficiently spicy, broccoli was crisp-tender. I liked the fried rice and chow mein too. For $11ish plus tip, this was not bad! I did notice several people going for the Mongolian wok, which I'll have to try next time. Parking is a shared lot, but located on the same side as Halal Bros and Mountain Mikes, but past I Heart Teriyaki toward Love Laundry.

Met up with a friend for lunch here today. Hadn't been to Hing's in a while. This place gets lost in the shuffle of eateries in the area. I've been coming here since I was a teenager with my mom and I've never had a bad experience. Honestly as I sat down to eat my bowl once it was done being cooked I felt like a fool for waiting so long since I had been here last. My friend and I hadn't even said anything to the waiter but he had a table ready for us with drinks and the side rice and tofu soup once our Mongolian bbq was done! Great service! I made a killer bowl. Using the plastic gloves they provide I pushed down my ingredients and kept piling on more. Using the oils and sauces towards the end I was able to key in on some great flavors. Every bite of my bowl was delicious.

Time for an update as it has been 5 years since my last and almost my last visit. Came by for the Mongolian because I wanted some quick easy and inexpensive. We arrived around 11:30 and seated right away. Right off the bat, you can tell that everything was from the night, if not several days before. The meat was stuck together in clumps meaning it had melted and then put back in the freezer at some point. The veggies were wilted and browning. The sauces had no flavor even though I put 8 scoops of liquid in. There was no chili oil at all which is a standard. Dish came out to dry and bland. I didn't even want to finish my bowl. The service was friendly and attentive enough and lunch (single trip) was only $11.50! For that, I can't be too mad. I just spent more than that at Taco Bell yesterday. Overall it works in a pinch, but won't be back anytime soon. Solid 3 stars as in just "okay".

Checking into hings. It is too hot in Sacramento to cook. Hings is clean and not too busy. Looking forward to the mealMongolian bbq service is really quick. They cook in front of you. So, no waiting. The Mongolian bbq is only $15. It comes with rice or fried rice, egg flower soup, and as many trips to the bar to pick your meats and veges for the bbq experienceCareful with the sauces and make sure to not put too much. I highly recommend smaller bowls since then you can have more variety. For smaller bowls, no more than a single scoop of sauce , please. Otherwise, it could be too saltyEgg flower soup is pretty good. I enjoy it with a couple dashes of the white pepper at the tableAmbiance 3.5/5Service 5/5Food 5/5 since I have complete control over the ingredients they usePrice 5/5Overall 4.5/5Workers and management are very friendly and welcoming. Most of all, checking to see if you need more water or anything else.Of all Mongolian bbqs here in Sacramento, this is our favorite. We have tried basically all in Sacramento. This is number 1.Good food, healthy, fresh, friendly staff. You can't ask for more. Please support your small business owners.

First time trying this place and I really like Mongolian BBQ. Pluses - friendly staff, clean restaurant, full menu plus mongolian BBQ, Price was affordable, you can use two bowls for dinner service (the extra bowl for the sauce of course) free to go box with one trip.Minuses - beef was tough af, no sugar water, used extra bowl for sauce and they still added water &&&& it was dry...but how?? Will be back! Take two packets of sugar from the table and add it to the (bowl of sauce) and change the game!!!!! Looking forward to my return
