Hillsdale Doughnuts

The mister had an opportune chance to stop by & get some donuts to bring home on a Saturday morning. He said there was a line, but they were well-stocked & donuts were still being freshly made.He got a nice assortment of some cake & raised.Chocolate cake with sprinkles & a chocolate bar--chocolate glaze is delicious, doughs themselves brought nothing to the table.Raised glaze & twist--fluffy, airy, nicely sweetened by glazeApple filled--denser dough, soft & pillowy, tart apples, concentrated smear of cinnamon Crumb--thoroughly enjoyed by the misterBlueberry--tasty & cakeyOverall, good solid donuts. They weren't greasy & the glaze flavor & dough textures were great.However, my preference is for a more pronounced yeasty flavor in the raised variety & doughs that have some taste without depending solely on glaze for flavor.

It's been years since I last visited this place. It's probably a good thing. If I'd been going regularly I'd easily be 50 pounds heavier than I am now, and that would be bad! But when I drove by today, I just had to stop. Anyway, I used to go here a couple times a month, probably six or seven years ago, because their donuts are that good! The staff are quite friendly as well and they are eager to provide quick and efficient service! The best donut they offer is the Skippy donut! It is beyond delicious! I admit, I love peanut butter; but when you combine it with their dough, frosting, and chopped nuts, it's just out of this world fantastic! When you walk in you might feel deja vu come about you and ask yourself "Am I in Winchell's?" I think it used to be a winchell's and still has all the furniture and fixtures that were in place back in the 70's. You'll want to keep coming back once you try the donuts! Better by far than winchell's was, and a lot better than most of their competitors. I'll definitely be back!

Amazing donuts cinnamon rolls are my favorite don't over look the croissants they are amazing with an added egg

Best in the area, surpassed Marie's which for some reason has really gone down hill the past couple of years, new owners maybe?

If donuts are a limited occasional treat for you as they are for me, I'm particular in where to get them. Hillsdale donuts meet all my criteria; clean, simple and a good variety of products. They also have great deals and the customer service was great, friendly and personable. Definitely recommend.

Little hole is the wall. Quaint little place. Donuts are good, can't mess them up. People are nice.My favorite ones are the maple ones. They ate delicious, not overly sweet, it has the right amount

The best ever. So fresh they melt in your mouth. Such a great selection of anything you are hoping to get including wonderful donut holes. Service is fast and pleasant. The only place for donuts

I'm about to place an order now, again, that's my experience with this donut heaven as I call them. They are so good and so fresh anytime of day.

This used to be my favorite if you wanted a good donut. My coworker would always get donuts here sometimes.However, I noticed back then customer service was not good when I went once to visit this establishment.I went again because I was in the area and customer service has not changed.
