We absolutely love High-Hand Nursery & Café! Even though we visited in winter when things weren't in full bloom yet, the nursery was still beautiful to walk through. The atmosphere was peaceful, and it had a great ambiance despite the season. The nursery is stunning, with tons of plants, trees, succulents, and even fruit trees for sale. The way they arrange plants--like succulents growing in fountains--is gorgeous, and they even have a koi fish pond that adds to the charm. We also checked out the High-Hand store on-site, which had a great selection of garden art, plants, and unique decor items. The cashier was super friendly, which made the experience even better. We had breakfast at the café before exploring the nursery, and while we loved the atmosphere and service, the food itself was a little underwhelming. I had the avocado toast from the appetizer menu as my entrée, and while the portion was perfect, the dish itself was a bit bland. The microgreens were a nice touch, though, and the beer cheese dip I ordered on the side was pretty good. 3/5 stars. My wife had the marinated chicken sandwich with apple slices and brie, which was fun because it was something she normally wouldn't order, but it lacked seasoning. She also rated it 3/5 stars. The café atmosphere and customer service were top-notch, which made up for the food not being super flavorful.Parking: At first, we thought parking was difficult because we parked on the street--but later realized there's an actual parking lot for the café. If you know where to go, parking is easy and convenient.Final Thoughts:We made a whole morning out of it, starting with breakfast and then exploring the nursery, store, and gardens--which made for a really lovely date. We absolutely recommend this place and will definitely be back, though we'll probably try something different on the menu next time--the pizza looked amazing, and they even have a wood-fired oven outside for it!This is a must-visit spot for plant lovers, foodies, or anyone looking for a relaxing and scenic outing.

This is such a cute cafe for brunch/lunch on a sunny day! We visited on a Friday with a toddler and infant, our waitress was SO sweet with them and was just super friendly in general. The food was good, we preferred starters and wood fired pizzas to the sandwiches (lunch menu), but I definitely want to come back to try their breakfast menu. We did make reservations, and leaving the restaurant there was quite a few ppl waiting to be seated so would recommend doing the same if you don't want to wait!Walking through the nursery and seeing the koi fish was also a great activity for the toddler in our group. There were so many different plants to see if you're a gardener or just appreciate nature.

High five to the High Hand Cafe! This place is definitely worth the hype and popularity. The scenery itself is so beautiful with the greenery and surrounding plants. I felt like I was in The Secret Little Garden movie, IYKYK ;) The ambiance is just so magical, I loved it; the perfect backdrop to a Sunday Funday Brunch with friends! If you have not been here yet, what are you waiting for? Be sure to make a reservation because HHC gets very busy especially on the weekends. The food was very tasty. We came in for brunch and everything we ordered was pretty spectacular. Peep my pictures, while they don't do justice, as they would in person, there wasn't anything we ordered that wasn't good. Banana bread French toast, c'mon! So good! This alone is a reason I would come visit!

Okay so vibes were a 10/10. Service was fast and friendly and if you happen to go up the way to their bar area and listen to the live band it is super fun! So I gave them an extra star for that. The food, however, was just okay in my opinion. It lacked a little in the flavor department so I had to drown it in pepper and hot sauce. The mimosas were great though! I'd definitely still recommend a visit because it truly is an experience and you get to shop around and listen to music. It's like a one stop shop and worth a visit.

I've been wanting to try this place forever and finally did. The cafe is nestled at the end of an incredible nursery and gallery complex. It was busy when we arrived on a Saturday but it gave us plenty of time to browse. They take your number and text you when your table is ready. Lots of choices for a hearty and/or healthy lunch. Two of us had salads and one had a chicken salad sandwich. We all loved our meals. It's a bit loud in the atrium but it's a beautiful spot. Highly recommend as a fun destination meal!

This place is so unique and so wonderful, and the food is amazing. Good reason to go? You bet.We came with four of us never expecting to get in, but we didn't have a wait at all. Seated in the center of the large atrium space was wonderful, especially on a very warm day.The service throughout was amazing, friendly, upbeat and attentive. We felt like pampered guests.I ordered the shrimp salad and it was one of the best salads ever, so fresh and built with candied nuts and lots of great additions, including pear and feta. The grilled shrimp were absolutely delicious. They have me the dressing on the side so I could add whatever I wanted.Never rushed we were able to have a delightful conversation and the atmosphere is casual yet sophisticated at the same time. This is a great place for breakfast, lunch or brunch. It got washed down with an Arnold Palmer which really hit the spot.

Hate when I swear I wrote a review and then can't find it! At least I have pix posted to prove I was there rather than losing my mind! Wow, ya it's been almost 2 years! Omg, time flies! Hasn't changed bit, just as fresh and fine as the last time. Perfect outing, nice drive, plenty of parking, no wait, seated right away, nice, peaceful, serene views ... always love coming up here. So much so that I guess we don't mind paying $20 for a breakfast burrito, $15 for pretzels among other things. Supporting local businesses and this glorious hidden gem. I can stay around this area all day and treat my eyes with wondrous sights.Stay classy! #LoveLoomis

My hubby is in Auburn for work and we decided to come and visit for the long weekend. He wanted to take us out for brunch and this is where we decided to go. I am so glad! We walked in through the side that is the nursery entrance so we got to walk through what looked like a garden to get to the restaurant. We got there about 10am and it was pretty busy. If we sat inside it would have been a 20 minute wait, but outside we would have gotten sat right away. We sat outside, under a heater among the trees and plants and it was lovely! Eventhough inside it was nice, I'm glad we decidedordego outside. I ordered a mimosa, my hubby got a bloody Mary, and the kids all got chocolate milk that was hand mixed. We were all very happy with our drink! The mimosa was a little strong, but that might have been just because I haven't drank in a while! It was delicious either way! Haha! Our server was excellent, very accommodating, friendly, and fast. Honestly everyone that we came in contact with was very friendly and welcoming. I got the classic eggs Benedict and so did my hubby. The hollandaise sauce was perfect! It is so easy to mess up and I am always scared when I order it, but The High Hand did not disappoint! The bread was toasted perfectly, and the ham was excellent. The eggs were cooked just right, and the potatoes tied in perfectly. We were both very happy with our food.If you want a delectable dish, try the banana bread french toast! Oh. My. God! Perfection on a plate! I am a bit of a snob when it comes to banana bread, and I was very pleased with this dish! The bread was very moist, and flavorful. Not too overpowering with banana, but just the right amount. You can definitely tell that it is homemade. The carmel drizzle was just enough to send that extra punch of flavor. So good! Our little one ordered pancakes off the kids menu and those were very fluffy and good too, and a good size. Most people say, well how can you mess up pancakes? But honestly I've seen it happen! Haha! Overall our experience here was great. The food, the drinks, the people, the ambiance...everything. If we didn't live 8 hours away I would have bought plants and flowers to take home!I cannot wait to come back!
