Ambiance 8/10 for the 2 top tables When we arrived it was not busy - we had reservations for an earlier dinner on a Saturday evening The place opens at 5pm(pst)We were seated by the kitchen which I thought was nice- they run a clean operation and the chefs looked confidentService: 7/10out of 3 tables in the same section got seated, we were the first to sit down and the last to get greeted. I would have appreciated a quick hello I'll be right with you but was a little irritated that I saw our server walking around while we were sitting there. when he finally walks up to us after 5min his first words are "oh they didn't bring you bread or water yet" and when I told him no you're the first person to come to our table he replies with "oh well I'm your server so i should be the only one greeting you"In my mind: "so if you see me see you see me... then why didn't you say hello after the first 3 times of making eye contact sir?" lolOverall he ended up being a nice guy.Food timing to the table: 5/10Appetizer came out in a timely mannerBut It took almost 50min to get us 2 ribeyes with asparagus and potatoes as we ordered our entrees a min after putting in the appetizer order. Food quality and taste: 9/10Crab cake:The crab cake appetizer was pretty delicious, lots of crab less fillers so that's always nice. It comes topped with a slaw and micro greens over the sauce. Rib eye EntreeMy rib eye was cooked perfectly, the fat was rendered and so tasty. My asparagus and potatoes were cooked well. I should have opted for tempura asparagus. Ordered a glass of Merlot to go with my steak, it was just okay. I may try their cab next time. My husbands ribeye was cooked to the right temperature as ordered however his cut had so much fat on it and it wasn't rendered properly so he basically set aside 1/3 of his steak. Ribeyes with asparagus and potatoes = $55Dark chocolate crème brûlée Never had this before, I thought it was good! Had the crispy top you break intoThe consistency is less pudding like and more like a heavier mousse

Steak was good. Not outrageous but good! Service was not very knowledgeable, young and disinterested in anything but your tip. Crowd dressed in jeans and plaid shirts and were loud and uninterested in your comfort.Dining room is beautiful, secluded and romantic. Experience was NOT worth the price. Go elsewhere.

We had a party of six for dinner on a busy Sunday evening and it could not have been better. The service from the check in to the server and crew was quick and very accommodating. We ordered a variety of entrees from lobster to steaks and prime rib and they were all very satifying and cooked well. We must have spent at least two hours dabbling over our meals and wine and the evening was a huge success thanks to the fine food and service. We read of the negative comments from past customers, but our experience on Sunday was excellent in all aspects.

Funny that all the reviews that comment on Nick being one of the reason we all enjoy going to Henry's isn't acknowledged in the comment back from the Henry's office person. The comment back seems to be a standard quote to all the reviews. Same words to everyone and nothing about Nick. Just need to know when Nick will be back so I can book my next dinner.

Absolutely loved this place! Located in Red Hawk Casino on the lower level. We came here to celebrate our parent's wedding anniversary and everything was amazing! The ambiance, our drinks, our food, and our server was personable & funny. All of our dishes were delicious and we all loved everything we ordered.

We were greeted and Sat promptly for our reservations. The server was nice and welcoming. They offer bread and butter for the table. The food came out very presentable. The braised rib was too dry. Not as expected. I was expecting it to fall apart easily and be more flavorful. The vegetables on the plate were the best thing on it. The salmon, I was told was too dry as well. The risotto, as expected tasted a lot like peas. Overall, the service was good but the food Lacked.

Steakhouse inside Red Hawk Casino This was my first time at Henry's inside Red Hawk Casino in Placerville. Just head down the escalator and it will be to your right next to Pearl Asian Cuisine. We did not have reservations but they were able to accommodate us. We sat outside at the bar area in one of the high tabletop seating. Our server was Tyler. We each ordered the 10-oz cut Sirloin & Mushrooms ($38). One cooked in medium and the other medium well. I preferred the MW cook. The medium was a bit too pink for me even though I've always ordered Medium in other establishments before and they weren't this pink. The steaks were juicy, tender and lean in red wine reduction. The portions were generous with a good amount of mushrooms. The mashed potatoes were good too.Tyler was attentive to our table and we appreciated his friendliness too. It was nice that the restaurant could accommodate us on a busy Christmas Eve night w/o a reservation. Nice high end restaurant at Red Hawk Casino.Review #3281

So Red Hawk reached out to us for my hubby's birthday. They recommended Henry's and made the reservation. The restaurant has an open kitchen but it kinda reminds me of a 1920's speakeasy. Maybe it's the music? We were greeted with water and warm fresh bread. Our server, Nick, came around and offered suggestions. I ended having the French onion soup and filet mignon Florentine. Hubby had the tuna poke bowl and prime sirloin. Each meal came with mashed potatoes and a veggie. I had an iced tea and love the little pitcher they brought so my drink would never be empty. Can't recommend this place more! The staff, the chefs and the company are just the best!

Henry's is a nice, quite distraction from all of the hustle and bustle on the floor above. Great atmosphere, very friendly and attentive staff. The kitchen is open, and I'll admit I geeked out a bit kind of wishing they'd have a Gordon Ramsey this is F'ing raw moment, but no luck.Drinks came out very fast and were refilled promptly. My glass never emptied fully. Our waiter Nick was attentive and checked in on us just the right amount so as not to be over the top. He surprised me by asking how our food was when I didn't have a mouth full. Crazy rare when we are out to eat. Food wise, the Tuna Poke was great, very fresh, very tasty! French Onion soup was on point. My wife ordered the filet mignon, and omg, talk about a melt in your mouth cut. She shared exactly 1 tiny bite and phenomenal!I had the 10oz prime sirloin, was cooked beautifully, and the snap peas that are served with it brought me back to my childhood. Carrots were cooked, but not mushy, and the pesto was actually very good. I'm not a Pesto fan normally. The deserts sounded amazing as well, but sadly, I was so full I could take another bite. So, next visit, I'm skipping the appetizer and getting the Chocolate and Nuts desert instead. We will definitely be back again.

Big changes at the steakhouse at Red Hawk. Henrys has always been inconsistent and they continue to be as one of their top servers. Nick is no longer working in the steakhouse. He really gave the steakhouse an old time flare and made for an amazing dining. He was the sharpest server with a lot of experience and great knowledge of wine. He's working in another restaurant and I was disappointed to see him not at Henry's. What a great guy - amazing stories, and amazing service. They need to bring him back. I didn't. Anyone can take an order and serve food, but the charisma and personality that he brought to your table will be missed. Well, I look forward to the new menu items at Henry's, I still wish they'd move Nick back into Henri steakhouse to provide an excellent fine dynamic experience. They don't know what a great employee they had.
