Hello Temaki

After coming a handful of times now, I really love Hello Temaki. It's the spot I'll take friends from out of town to try and it has even become a spot where I'll come to during lunch on weekdays.They have a weekday happy hour menu that I tend to order the gyozas and spicy tuna hand roll off of as a starter, and depending on how hungry I am, I either order a few more hand rolls for a lighter lunch or I'll opt for the bento box if I want something to fill me up more. My favorite hand roll is the Aburi Salmon hand roll. It's seared salmon with a sweet soy sauce that makes it really good. I also like the classic salmon hand roll and spicy tuna hr. Their Udon Noodle Soup is good and comforting for when it's cold out--the broth is slightly sweet and not too sweet in a good way. For drinks, my favorite cocktail is the lychee sojutini. It is so refreshing and better than most lychee martinis that I've had. They also have beer and sake I believe on their happy hour menu which is nice to have as an option. The servers and chefs have all been very friendly and attentive. I certainly will be returning for the good food here.

We celebrated a birthday here tonight (Sunday 3/2/25) and the dinner was amazing! Everything we ordered was super flavorful and fresh! The service (Denise) was exceptional and she gave some great recommendations and was so sweet! The sushi chefs were great too, the food came out at a great pace...The vibes, the decor, and their stone entree plates are gorgeous, and the great portions and fresh seafood will keep us coming back! Don't change your menu- everything here was on point! I loved the look of this sushi spot! P.s. They even played some awesome music that made our meal even more enjoyable! Was it the "Usher" playlist? If so, let's gooooooo!!!!

My husband and I come here for date night typically because it's a very lively but also an intimate restaurant. Tonight we brought our family. Everyone here is always very nice, respectful, and helpful in guiding you through the menu and experience. What We Ordered: Lychee soujutini(10/10) Sapporo- Fried Calamari: 6/10 A little over fried and doesn't have much meat. Id recommend only order in a group setting because they do serve a large portion.- Half Dozen Fried Oysters 10/10 with gold flake jelly and their house made sauce- Uni Toast 10/10! The Hokkaido sea urchin served on top of toast is chef's kiss! This has to be my fave menu item so far. -Bento box w/ Shrimp & Veggie Tempura for my dad. He really enjoyed the salad.Hand rollssalmon aburi 10/10salmon 8.5/10spicy tuna 8/10yuzu 8/10 Truffle soy sauce is a must try, so don't forget to order that :)Overall the raw fish quality here is AMAZING. Although the restaurant is pretty small we never have to wait. The bar has plenty of seating but this place mainly for parties of 2-6. They do have a private party room.

Just wanted to start by saying the quality of fish here is exceptional. The escolar sashimi and scallops were fresh and extremely tender. The 5-set handroll was great as well. My favorite of the five were the tuna and escolar. Quality here is one of the better spots in the Elk Grove area. The staff here is extremely friendly and welcoming. However, at times they weren't as attentive to my table and didn't bring the water until we sat down for around 15-20 minutes. Plastic wraps were a surprise that I had here. I think the plastic wrap that comes with each handroll was somewhat tedious. It made the experience really messy and somewhat awkward to eat, especially in quite an intimate dine-in experience. Otherwise, I think they could forego the plastic sheets and keep the handroll easier to eat!

Loved it! We checked out Hello Temaki for the first time with a group of four, and it was such a great experience! We all went with the lunch bento boxes, and everyone picked two different options, so we got to try a good variety. The food was beautifully presented, super fresh and tasted great. The vibe inside is really nice. The wood interior and big open windows give it a warm, airy feel, and the space is pretty big. Parking was also super easy, which is always a bonus, plenty of parking. Service was good, friendly and attentive without being overbearing. For dessert, we ordered the Ube cheesecake with the green tea ice cream and wow. They also had lychee ice cream but were out. It was almost too pretty to eat, but we're so glad we did! The balance of flavors was perfect, not too sweet, with just the right amount of Ube and cheesecake.We'll have to come back and just try the different hand rolls.

3.75/5 in total. I got the hand roll set menu 7/10. For the price the options were not amazing compared to other restaurants. The escolar was the best one. I also ordered the oysters which were fresh and tasty. 10/10. It was aesthetically pleasing. All in all, I rather go to a different restaurant with more options. The staff were very friendly.

Wonderful welcoming kind service, attentive chefs, and delightful selection of food to choose from! I tried the lady in red sushi roll and it was delicious, and crafted beautifully. Inside is so beautiful as you can view the chefs preparing the sushi if you sit at the bar / counter area. I enjoyed my time here. During lunch time, they have their happy hour menu but on Mondays it's all day, and you can enjoy some appetizers, small plates, and hand rolls. I look forward to my next visit.

Been here a couple times. One of the best temaki spots in sacramento. Everyone is super friendly as well. Chef T made this new unagi dish for us. Recommend coming and giving a try!

Their food was so good. The uni pasta, uni toast and hand rolls are super good. i recommend going here if youre a sushi lover

Do I even need to explain?, this was the best Japanese restaurant, the restaurant was clean, It had great service. And the food was great.
