Helen Family Hair and Nails

Came in during a few hour gap and was not disappointed! While it took longer than I'm used to, Tommy did a great job. I normally get my acrylics done in an hour max, this took an hour and a half which isn't too bad but I'd schedule accordingly if you're running low on time. I loved it here. Prices are great. Helen and her staff are great. I got my nail's done by Christina who did an Excellent job. 2 weeks later and my gel nail polish is still intact.. except for the one I messed up myself when opening something I shouldn't have been! and then Helen did my hair! Keratin treatment, hair cut, blowout and style.. and it came out amazing. Just talking to her you can tell she cares about her clients.. and she took her time with my hair.. cutting off the damaged hair and styling every strand.. and my hair is thick. I would highly recommend this place and I think I finally found my go to place in Sacramento for hair and Nails!!

About a month ago, Helen convinced me to get the dip and gel manicure and I absolutely LOVE my nails and Helen! I have become a regular and don't see myself going anywhere else. I highly recommend this salon to anyone.

Okay, so good stuff first. Cute place, and the owner was very nice. She and I chatted while she did my nails and it was very pleasant. She also never hurt my hands, which a lot of technicians do. She had her young daughter in the shop and I really enjoyed that; the kid was very cute and well behaved and it was fun to watch her run around. Now for the down side. First, it took a long time, close to an hour and half for a set of acrylics; in my experience it doesn't usually take that long. And the actual nails. I wanted a French set, and they just looked bad. Uneven, the white tips didn't have white in some spaces, and the pink was a foggy color. Part of that is my fault as I didn't say anything. I don't get my nails done often, so I didn't know anything was wrong until the end. And at that point, I didn't know what to say! I had already been there 90 minutes, and i didn't know how to tell her that the nails looked weird and I didn't like them. So I just paid and left. I showed my friends afterward, who agreed that they didn't look right. I ended up painting over them with a dark color and they look a lot better. I know this lady can do nails, I've seen pictures and saw what other customers had done. Maybe she was just having a bad day with mine.

I've been coming to this salon for my nails for a few months now, and I love it! Helen and Tommy have both done my nails. They are amazing! They're welcoming and super friendly. My nails always come out nothing less than perfect. I get very little, if none, lifting or breakage in between fills. Huge plus in my books.

This was my first time at this salon and I can honestly say that I am beyond happy and will be returning. Don't let the location fool you, it's a wonderful salon! Tommy did both my nails and amazing pedicure. I paid an extremely fair price of $48 for both pedicure and manicure with gel! The pedicure included a massage and it was heavenly. Usually I go to another salon but will now be coming here from now on. Helen is extremely nice and helpful as is Tommy. This place is great for families and kids as well and is clean and comfortable.

Great place, family operated, pay great attention to detail! Everytime me and my cousin come here they are so friendly and we never have nail breaks in the following weeks. No complaints!

the people here were very friendly and nice. i'm definitely coming back soon so helen can do my nails again! there was no awkward moments you usually have at other nail salons, there was active conversations and i enjoyed the little talks.

Helen was so welcoming on my first time, gave me beautiful nails and a fun appointment! I went in again and plan to go again AND again. It feels like I'm talking to a friend, and she's so generous and does amazing work. I am SO happy with my nails when I come out of there, and Helen makes sure you are and ensures that her work is flawless.
