Heat Shabu Baru

I absolutely LOVE Heat Shabu! This is my favorite shabu place in Sacramento I've been to so far, and I always recommend this place wholeheartedly. They have very different broths to choose from, and I've been like 2-3 times and sometimes they change it up! You can ask the server to sample the broths and they'll actually bring it out to you! They offered it to me, which was really nice!I've been seated both at the high top bar area and at the tables. I actually enjoyed the high top with just 1 person! It's way more intimate just as nice! I've never gotten ayce here, but I'm sure if's be excellent. I always just get the same wagyu cuts or my favorite slices of beef and one set of veggies. You can switch the veggies out for each other if you ask!I appreciate how flexible this place is, how much they care, and how good the food is. 5/5 and I'm coming back for sure!

I haven't been here in almost ten years but my recent visit blew me away. The meat quality was amazing! The beef and lamb were so tender and juicy! They had new flavors of broths compared to before so I was excited to try the crab rieu. Next time I want to try the BBH. Although the veggie options are slim, I still recommend because of their quality. They also have my favorite fish balls with roe! Two things I wish were different are the ramen noodles and rice. The noodles are served overcooked so it's not good anymore and there is too much water in the rice! Despite those two things, it was a very good experience overall!

I came to this location on a Wednesday night and was seated right away around 6:30pm. The space is nicely decorated, and the service was good. I opted in for the AYCE $50 meats - although a little pricey, the food was good. I really like the 90s/2000 music playing - definitely a vibe. It's a perfect place for dinner with friends or a date.Minus a star for some things that can be improved. I had a sample of the broth to see if it was something I'd like and it was served cold - I'd recommend heating it up a bit so it would taste better. Also, I had to request for rice twice after all the food was already on the table. I would also recommend updating your menu for kids AYCE about being charged or not - the menu says under 40 inches but when I brought my 5 year old - they said 5 and up will be charged. Just wanted to note this since it's confusing and should be fixed.

I just want to say thank you for always being amazing Great customer service and delicious food. Proud to say I am a regular at least once a week. If I have a day off this is where I love taking my kidos and fam to. I love my HS Fam

When it's cold outside the one thing the body really needs warmth and something hot to eat or drink. Heat Shabu has both warmth and good hot food for those needs.It was pretty busy for a Tuesday night but come to find out they do AYCE on Tuesdays with much to offer from appetizers to meat options. Although we didn't have a reservation, we were sat pretty quickly but it was outside. Not to worry about sitting outside though as they have plenty of heaters to keep you warm. The service was good from start to finish as everyone is very helpful and nice. The broth for all the hotpot is delicious, this was our second time coming here and both times the Tonkotsu and Crab Rieu has been GOOD. All portions of meat come with a side of veggies and ramen noodles for your broth. We didn't take part in the AYCE but they do offer all their appetizers on that menu and honestly if you go that route definitely get the wings.Our experiences here have always been good and very little to complain about. I do recommend getting a reservation in advance just so you can secure a table before getting there. If in the mood for hotpot, Heat Shabu should be in your rotation.

Solid hot pot! It's been awhile since I've been to this location and after a long day of snowboarding, it's a great choice! We called ahead to see the wait time and it looks like they do reservations now although I did see walk ins and they got seated right away. We did the all you can eat menu which comes with 2 broths, rice or ramen, a bunch of items to choose from like Napa/mushroom, quail eggs, tofu, fish balls with roe, and a bunch of others. As far as the meats - lamb is literally the best meat on the menu! We tried the pork belly, angus (a little too chewy for me) and Kobe beef. It's pretty intimate inside and cozy and everyone is super nice and friendly inside. The only downside is the parking since you'll have to find street parking downtown. Otherwise, super good!

This was our first experience doing hot pot and we can't wait to come back! Our friends highly recommended it and they were right. The AYCE menu has tons of options and our waitress was super helpful in guiding us with our orders. My favorite broth was the BBH. The flavor was excellent and I loved the little kick of spice. The wagyu meatballs and quail eggs were also highlights. The inside of the restaurant is cozy, so maybe not the best spot for large groups, but we easily made a reservation for 4! Definitely check this place out if you're a fan of hot pot!

Still my favorite establishment for AYCE hot pot. On this visit, I added the wagyu rib. It was very tender and the meat was fall off the bone. I ordered my usual spicy tonkatsu and spicy miso broths. My proteins were the pork belly, angus and American love beef, and shrimp. The apple sake and green tea ice cream was the perfectly ending to my meal.

This is a Sacramento staple. The food, drinks and overall experience are all 10/10. Every time I have friends or family in town I take them here.

Overall a nice experience. The food was good and service terrific. Liked the lamb which is not common and the Angus was tasty. I'd go again.
