Heart Beats Music School

My 7yo started taking the Young Musician series this January with Miss Moriah and Miss Annie. He can be a bit rambunctious, but both teachers had endless patience with him. I like that students are taught the basics of music/singing and that information is supplemented with piano playing. The parent participation also helps me to make sure I am aware of what he is learning and how best to assist my son in practicing those skills. I am looking forward to returning in the fall!

My 3.5 yo son loves music class. Ms. Moriah (his favorite teacher), and Ms. Annie, were so patient with my active child. He enjoyed all the different dances and instruments and was very comfortable being in a small class (most days 3 kids with a parent). Most days he'd roll on the ground and climb on me, but he was listening and he knew the words of most of the songs by the end of the program. We will most likely return for the fall program as his schedule allows.

My daughter has been learning piano at Heart Beats for 1 year and we are happy to continue! She has progressed so much, and always enjoys her 30 minute instruction with Mr. Arend. The whole staff is lovely and I really love their approach to teaching. The homework is very structured (so good for us!), there are quarterly musicianship lessons, and a sticker reward program for practicing. Recitals are a few times a year, and I am amazed at the progression each recital. This place is a community gem and I highly recommend giving it a try.
