Came here to see Shen Yun, plenty of parking, parking was cheap. The tickets were average $140 PP, perfect for folks who enjoys performing arts, ballet and folk tales. The seats were small, with worn cushions, And not meant for sitting for long periods and this show was over 2 hours long. They serve water, coffee and sparkling water during pre-show and intermission. There were no other drink options: No cocktails or wine. Overall it was a cool experience. The Harris center appears to be under construction so hopefully they will update the seats as everything looks outdated. Easy access to restaurants and freeway near by. They feature many different shows here. I hope they would update their menu with more snacks and drinks to include alcohol and better variety. **Don't forget to follow me on IG for more great places to check out Follow...@Only1ChristineLu **

The 2024-2025 Broadway Series at Harris Center was hard to resist! I purchased a [first-time for me] season subscription, with prices as low as $55 per show. Subscription Pricing Tiers: Premium Tier $590Tier 1 $477Tier 2 $424Tier 3 $330You can choose from either Opening Night performances or First Matinee. The line-up this season are: Come From Away (Oct 22-27), Hadestown (Dec 12-15), Dear Evan Hansen (Jan 28-Feb 2), Annie (Feb 14-16), Menopause The Musical 2 (Feb 20-23), and Pretty Woman (Mar 7-9).Print tickets at home, and parking passes to display on your dashboard. Take the East Bidwell exit off of Highway 50. Parking is included, otherwise, daily passes are $2. Ushers were kind, making sure we remembered to display the parking passes before we entered the venue. Stairs or elevators to get to the upper level, concessions, merchandise for the touring production for sale, abundant and clean restrooms, coat check, and a step-and-repeat photo backdrop opportunity for the show. The season schedule is spread out enough, without too many conflicts with other local series such as Broadway Sacramento. Note that this Broadway Series is not to be confused with the El Dorado Musical Theatre 2024-2025 Season (Youth musical theater), which has Seussical the Musical, Holiday Celebration, Little Mermaid, Legally Blonde, Best of Broadway, and Willy Wonka.Harris Center also has other acts that come through, recently Nick Carter (of the Backstreet Boys), upcoming Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Tributes to Earth, Wind & Fire plus Kool and the Gang, Shawn Colvin & KT Tunstall, songs of The Eagles, Pops Chorale, The Nutcracker ballet, symphony, Jose Feliciano, A John Denver Christmas, Motown Mania, Chamber Music, Shen Yun, Led Zepplin experience, Texas Tenors, Linda Ronstadt tribute, music of Aretha Franklin, etc.

The Folsom Lake Symphony plays classical music at the Harris Center Three Stages at Folsom Lake College in Folsom. The symphony plays both traditional classics like Dvorak's New World Symphony and more unique newer classical pieces as well. The concert season usually includes one show with a piano virtuoso soloist, one show with one or two opera singers, a romantic focused show in February, and at least one more show that focuses on classical pop classics (like movie themes). There are also sometimes free concerts in historic Folsom and a youth focused concert with instrument petting zoo.The Folsom Lake Symphony is home based at the Harris Center in Folsom, in a beautiful and acoustically tuned hardwood appointed concert hall. Maestro Peter Jaffe is the current conductor. He is an excellent and entertaining conductor who playfully educates his audience on the pieces performed. The excellent detailed program notes provided are written by his wife.I have heard lots of variety from this symphony over multiple seasons. The last performance of Gershwin's Piano Concerto by the symphony and piano virtuoso Gabriela Martinez followed by Dvorak's New World Symphony blew me away. It was awesome!Probably the best symphony I have heard.A great variety of famous and new soloists rotate through every season.A very comfortable seats in a great venue for listening to well-played classic pieces for very reasonable prices. All in all a great night's entertainment!

Went to see Shen Yun last week. The show was amazing! There is NOT A BAD seat in this place, but will say lower level seats $$$ are not always the best seats. Staff (who are all volunteers) are there with a welcoming smile and hellos. They will assist with locating your seat, directing to restrooms and elevators. All very helpful and friendly. The coat check lady even was willing to take a pair of eye glasses I found in the ladies room to the Lost and Found for me. Always a great experience here.

First ever visit. Pop music concert. Sat in second row. Portable seats that had lots of extra legroom. Many people have told me that this is a great venue. I don't think it is anything special. The auditorium interior is very plain. The tan walls, floors, & seats looks dated and tired. Can't comment on the sound system from my stage front seat. No idea what sound quality is in the back of the room.My ambivalent opinion is due to comparison. I live 4 miles from The Venue of Thunder Valley casino that has a 4,500 seat auditorium that is truly impressive.

I went to Harris Center for the first time to see Herb Albert. Before the concert I could find no indication on the world wide web that there would be beer and wine available. Well, there was, beer and wine only at one stand to right, after you enter the concert hall. A limit of two per person, and they closed both concession windows (the other was for soda and snacks) when the concert started. The concert hall was easy to get to, just turn right off Bidwell into the center of the campus, drive up the hill and park. The concert hall is very intimate, I wasn't expecting to see one of the best concerts of lifetime here.

The center is well designed. Volunteers are abundant and most helpful. It was nice to be able to buy drinks and snacks to be consumed before the show. Lots of variety in venue choices.

I had the fortune to attend a holiday performance of the River Bells handbell ensemble at the Harris Center. This was my first time visiting the new and impressive performing arts center at Folsom Lake College. The facility is located in the back of the campus following a long drive from Bidwell. Parking is generous, but you may need to walk and pay a fee. I do recommend dropping off those with mobility challenges at the entrance. The facility has multiple theatres optimized for small to large performances. On this visit, we were in a smaller theatre in the back which was reminiscent of a lecture hall in college, but with a much more interesting subject. Unfortunately, seats have not grown much even though most patrons have. It can get very tight for larger and taller people. I recommend the first row as you have much more legroom. The sound and lighting were good with no noticeable issues. Harris Center was designed for large performances with the central lobby having multiple restrooms with lots of space. There is also a small bar selling drinks and other items, plus a free coat check which is nice. The lobby is also very attractive with a high ceiling and lots of light. It is nice and understandable that Folsom is becoming the star of Sacramento County. It may soon surpass downtown Sacramento with a nicer old town, and more amenities. I don't think that any major shows will skip G1C or SAFE anytime soon, but the Harris Center allows east county folks an opportunity to get dressed up for a performance.
