Haven't been here in about 6 years and I have to say that the remodel is very cool and authentic. I remember this place for being old school and it still is with the necessary trendy items as well. The soft shell crab was very fresh and the beef sukiyaki is a must try. They have a really good cold sake that had a very fresh citrus after taste, so yeah it goes down very easy. I highly recommend.

We've been waiting for them to reopen and they finally did and we finally had dinner here again! It's a favorite of ours so it's great to have them back. We started with edamame and gyoza, plus a 6-piece sashimi plate. All fresh and delicious, especially the fish. We were in the mood for rolls so we each picked one: Spider, Spicy Sammy and Phoenix. These were also very fresh and flavorful - very enjoyable! The interior has also been freshened up (makes sense after a fire), and the staff were welcoming lovely as always. Welcome back!

Absolutely fantastic! This restaurant offers a good selection of items that were prepared in a very traditional Japanese way. The service is great, and the recent remodel brings new life to the room. Overall the prices are very reasonable the and service is friendly with good order times.

This has been around forever and based on that they are doing something right. My mom loves it so we went again. All the classic Japanese menu items including sushi. It was fairly crowded on a mid week night which surprised me.The place has also has had a recent makeover due to a kitchen fire.

We loved the service, food quality and ambiance here. The inside was renovated and well air conditioned and the staff were friendly. The food was great. We ordered a combination plate and two rolls and loved all. The ingredients looked fresh and we felt good afterward. We will come back!

I just had a less than stellar experience. We weren't allowed to substitute chicken for beef on the dinner for two combo, despite being willing to pay extra. The combo has a lot of chicken, so a little beef would have been nice. Additionally, they wouldn't let us exchange deep-fried gyoza for steamed, which I prefer for health reasons.We ended up sticking to the strict protocol of the menu. However, they made a mistake and gave our dinner to someone else, resulting in us waiting over an hour or more to eat. While I understand that they just reopened and may be working out kinks, the wait time was quite frustrating. To console us, they offered tofu, which neither my wife nor I like. Instead, they gave us more deep-fried gyoza. We accepted, but it was more than we initially wanted. It was confusing why they couldn't steam it unless ordered as a full order, even though the combo already included ten pieces.The sunomono salad was good but could have used more seasoning for better balance. When the food finally arrived, much of it was burnt. The chicken on the skewers, the platter, and the deep-fried chicken were all heavily charred or over-fried, making the meal unappetizing. Despite being very hungry by the time we got our food, it was disappointing.On the positive side, our server was very nice and communicated well, and the ambiance of the place is lovely. I also enjoyed the albacore nigiri. I'm hopeful that this was just a one-off incident because the restaurant was busy. I might return to try their udon, noodles, or some rolls, as I want to give them another chance. Went on a Thursday.

Traditional Japanese cuisine specializing in tempura, udon and sushi. Service was excellent and some ambiance has been changed up since the fire but the food is still exactly the same and plentiful. Family owned and family friendly.

The best Japanese food anywhere! We eat there all the time and love their food! and the atmosphere is awesome! So happy to have their restaurant in town!
