This GO opened about September 2023 and new owners took over in October 2024! I saw on the Nextdoor app that the new owner said changes were coming but so far I have not seen much of anything. The staff seem to be a bit nicer though. There is a large sign out on the road that introduces the new owners with drawing of them with their names. It says, "Meet the New Owners." I have been at least 10 times since they have taken over and have yet to see them.Other than this being a lower inventory GO store, the thing I like the least about this store is that there are always items with no price anywhere on the shelf or items. I understand that they are always getting new inventory and items and it is hard to keep up, but I really wish they could. The GO in Folsom (also Auburn, Yuba City and Placerville) probably has twice the number of items on their shelves at any given time. They take in one-off items that you will only find once. That is what I wish was the model for the Cameron Park store. If that is what the owners want, I recommend they take a drive to the Folsom store and check it out.I will continue to stop by occasionally to pick up a few items and see if anything has changed, but my big purchases tend to be at other GO's.

Quality issues are abundant in this store. I was excited for this store to open. Have been shopping at this location since they opened. It was quick and convenient but not anymore! One thing you'll notice when walking in, is dead fruit rotting. I see, consistently rotten bananas, avocados and corn. They kept trying to sell the corn 2/$1. Oh boy. Need fresh fruit? This is not the store. Fresh vegetables? I only buy the bagged kind as I really can't trust the look of other things. Maybe a green onion or two. If they are okay(most of the time, they are wilted, soggy and rotten!) While none of this deterred me as I understood this is a discount store and not a Safeway or Raleys, it's quite disheartening when you regularly shop there and get told you *specifically* can't have backpacks on you. Now, I have been in many a store with this policy. However, it's usually very defined on the type of bag being used and/or size. Eric, the owner, seems to think he doesn't need to specify any further than "backpack". Not only does this significantly limit the people able to shop, it opens up a discrimination lawsuit. Eric also had the audacity to ask me "have you ever worked retail?" Very professional for someone who had a very dissatisfied interaction at your store. I love how you changed your tone of voice once you realized what the call was about. I'm expecting a response along the line of "we tried to make things right" or "we have to mitigate theft in any way we can" you really think it's okay to have people leave their wallets, keys and overall, personal belongings because you can't find another way to mitigate theft? Instead, you choose a specific variety of customers and tell all of them they are not allowed to bring this bag in the store. Shameful practices, in reality. I've always stood up against this policy in ANY retail establishment I've worked at. That sentence, was just for you, Eric! I don't believe in putting theft mitigation on a customer. If you are having theft problems, then upgrade your security and don't put that back on your customers. You're the owner. Your employees don't deserve the backlash either of this policy.Edited to add: reading the other reviews, I see I am not alone. I won't get a response from the owner, his mother will just berate me! oh boy (again). Please don't open another in Placer. They deserve better than this. Cameron Park does too!

Super convenient for me and the family, generally have the best prices for all my last minute things and basics. Happy to shop here weekly for a quick " in and out" stuff like eggs , milk and ice cream. The wine selection is good (shop Greg's top ten) . Not to mention the charcuterie board finds in there are pretty cool on both brands and price. Over all good on customer service and selection.

Although a convenient location from where I live, the customer service is awful, and just as easy to go 4 more minutes down to Bass Lake. The service here has always been subpar, but today far exceeded that. The cashier helped 3 people that I saw including myself, and did not greet, talk or acknowledge any of us. In addition, the person bagging groceries complained about the schedule, who was working and why certain people were scheduled etc. with zero shame of doing it in front of guests. With excellence customer service such a rarity these days, you'd think the owner of this store would want to stand out, but clearly that is not the case here.

Stopped here while visiting the area for an annual company retreat. I noticed it was absolutely brand new and the nicest grocery outlet I've ever stepped foot in!! Commending for friendly staff and Fantastic selection. I do not live in the area but I felt like this place gave the area a nice first impression for me. 5/5

Won't be back. I didn't need a snarky remark from the person running the front end (Monica) when I asked if I could get more than $40.00 back. Way to win customers.

This particular store is not anywhere as good as the Folsom store- period. The produce is a gamble and the quality is just not there. I have had to return 3 items on different days because they were not edible. Returning something can be difficult and frustrating depending on who you are dealing with. The latest and to me, most annoying, is that I and my husband have been overcharged on a few visits to the Cameron park store. If you shop there you had better be alert and aware of the prices that are scanned ESPECIALLY on produce. If something is on sale in produce, the scanner picks up the barcode on the package and does not reflect the sale price. I have heard from other people that they have experienced the exact issue. Buyer beware and know what prices are being charged for your items!I will shop as much as possible at the Folsom store.

I consistently shop at the Cameron Park store. It is very close to my home and I have found some amazing items there. The service is not perfect and sometimes the store doesn't have something I need but it is a Grocery OUTLET (a discount store) not a regular grocery. The quality issues mentioned do exist but I have had much worse experiences with Safeway Cameron Park as well as BelAire - the products that all grocery type stores are receiving these days are just not that good. I have experienced very poor customer service at Safeway and BelAire but never at Grocery Outlet - not everyone at the store is friendly but I always get help to find what I need. I watch the quality and realize that this is a discount store so what I get I don't plan to return.
