Green Jade Restaurant

Stopped in for lunch with a friend on Friday. I had the Sesame Chicken combo plate. It came with chow mein and rice. It was too much to finish and I took almost half of it home where my wife enjoyed it also. I'll definitely be going back soon and ordering the same thing.

I am definitely disappointed in Green Jade as I've heard pretty decent things about this place so I decided to try them out. I ordered shrimp with Lobster sauce with a side of white rice considering their prices as a little on the higher side I had high hopes for the food. I did order my food to go. The inside is kind of on the dark side it is plenty of seating in the dining area it's located in an old strip mall and the staff is nice. Fast forward. I get my order and I get home and I am less than pleased with what I received. To play almost $20 why did I only get 4 shrimp yes 4 shrimp in my shrimp and lobster sauce. It was a lot of veggies, but mostly water chestnuts which didn't help. I called the restaurant and they said that's the amount of shrimp it comes with and if I didn't want it I could return the food and get my money back. Say less! I happily returned my food and got my money back and got Chinese food elsewhere that isn't going to fleece me. Will I come back here? Nope! It's a hard pass for me. I want my monies worth and the portions are small to say the least for the price paid.

Picked up a to-go order yesterday because we were craving Chinese food and they were close by. Also because we used to really like this restaurant. (We haven't been back for a while because of all the upheaval with the change of ownership or whatever the hell was going on with them, and because the last order we got from them was abysmal.)I will say that the food this time was nice and hot! and ready super fast.The downside for that is that the extremely cheap styrofoam trays that they now use were starting to melt because of the nice hot food. Do better Green Jade! Don't cheap out on your containers. They were so misshapen that one of them leaked all over the bag because it didn't hold its shape when the hot food was put in. As far as the food goes, the pork chow mein noodles were pretty good-we'd actually wanted Chow Fun but they were out when we called. We also ordered orange chicken and honey walnut shrimp anda large steamed rice. The portions were good on the chow mein and the orange chicken. Not so much on the honey walnut prawns which were pretty overcooked but still tasted pretty good. Additionally don't forget, this is honey WALNUT prawns; you're supposed to put walnuts in it remember?The food didn't justify the 50 plus dollars we spent on three entrees and a large rice. I would give four stars for customer service and three stars for food issues. I really wish they would go back to the way they used to be when they were top of the line back in the day. We really miss that.

I really wanted to love this place. I called in an order and when they told me the family combo I got would be ready in 10 minutes, I had a feeling fresh would not be a possibility. I got to the restaurant within 7 minutes and it was already packaged and ready to go.It wasn't fresh unfortunately. I gave 2 stars because the wonton soup was good and hot but the rest of the food was less than stellar. The sweet and sour chicken didn't have enough sauce for even half of the order. The rice tasted a few days old. I attached a picture of what our Mongolian beef looked like.If you love a ton of onions and a few pieces of beef...then order this dish!Over all...I'll stick with what I know to be good in Carmichael.

Had a delicious Christmas dinner- honey walnut shrimp are always on point, the pork fried rice might be the best in town, and the general chicken was cooked to perfection. Don't get here as often as I would like, but it's consistently good and we've been going there for years. Check it out!

Good Chinese/American food. The claypots are good. Large portions on the combination plates. Always get good service and the restaurant is kept neat and clean.

I was hungry and couldn't wait for dinner so I thought why not stop here and try their Pork Fried Rice. First time & I must say was Delicious! I will be back for more!Thank you Paul G

Drove 15 minutes to try this place and we order the green jade dinner for 2nd or take out And it came with Mongolian beef , as you can see you full of onions and 4 pieces of meat What a joke!This was the first and last time I will ever buy food at this place. We paid 41,10$ for this jokeNo one cooks this damn food in 10 minutes, safe your self and don't go to this place, this food its old and has been setting there all day I hope they close.

As always, the service was excellent. Even better than our last visit. The food was great too. I specially liked the Mandarin Fried Chicken. It was a combination of sweet and spicy flavor and it was crispy. The sizzling beef was super soft and very enjoyable as it melted in mouth. Can't wait to be back for more.

Not even close to what it was before. I don't live close so went the other day not knowing it had changed hands. On two of our four dishes the sauce was just oil (and lots of it). The only dish we liked was the Singapore noodles. Never going back.
