Grateful Bread

I love Grateful Bread! I was first introduced to this bake shop after discovering them on Too Good to Go. In the app, you can reserve a surprise bag valued at $30 and pick up several breads and rolls for a little over $10! My current favorites are the Cranberry Walnut Batard, Sourdough Batard, and Brioche Burger Buns. Grateful Bread is located in Loehmann's Plaza in Arden-Arcade. When you walk in, you are instantly hit with the smells of fresh baked bread! Service is warm and approachable in person and this also translates to their presence online. Their website has shown me the versatility of their breads and given me new ideas about how to incorporate carbs into my diet.Pro tip: If you live outside of the Arden-Arcade area, Grateful Bread products can be found in local grocery stores including the Sacramento Natural Co-Op and Corti Brothers. They also offer a bread subscription program!

Bread is excellent! Ordering online was a disappointing experience.From the Grateful Bread website, welovesourdough.com, I was able to easily order & pay for a sliced Marble Rye loaf on Wednesday afternoon. Estimated day for pickup was Friday-Sunday. But, I received no status updates during that time. I called Sunday for status & I was told my order would not be ready till Monday. That was very disappointing.By Monday noon, I still had not received an update so I called for status. I was told that my order had been ready earlier that day, they forgot to notify me. Yikes!I might try to order again in the future. But, I guess I will have to plan for extra time in case there are delays.

This place is BREAD HEAVEN!!! I've been here a couple times. They have so many different options. The breads are made fresh. As we get closer to fall, they started selling pumpkin bread. Some of my favorites are cinnamon swirl bread, jalapeño cheddar, marble rye toast. My husband's favorite is the blueberry crumb. They sell freshly baked cookies and cinnamon rolls.The staffs are always nice and always willing to help you. The shop itself is small, but very clean. If you are a bread lover, I'd highly recommend Grateful bread.

Such a cute, quaint bread shop! Grabbed two items which came out to $13 together. A bit pricey but it's always worth it to support a local business. Staff was friendly and are available to help you with any questions. They do have a 50% off section if you wanted to get some last minute bread or sweets while saving some money at the same time. I must come back to try their Algonquin bread/rolls!

I stumbled upon this bakery purely by its incredible aroma, and it did not disappoint! Located in Loehmann's Plaza, it has a fantastic selection of freshly baked bread and other treats like cookies, personal-sized loaves, muffins, and more. Everything is delicious and clearly made with care--worth stopping by if you're in the area or even making a special trip just to check it out!

I loved that it had just the right amount of sweetness in the bread that paired well with the slight tartness from the blueberries.The Banana Nut Bread is a classic banana bread with chunks of pecans and walnuts. This was definitely sweeter than the blueberry crumb bread, but it was also paired well with the nutty flavors of the pecans and walnuts. Overall, I was surprised at how delicious the breads were even though they were delivered! I absolutely love grateful bread! Being relatively new to Sacramento I figured it would take some time to find my "favorites" but after just one visit into this place, I was hooked! The aroma was incredible from the moment I stepped foot in the door and was immediately surrounded by freshly baked loaves of a variety of breads and treats. They have friendly and helpful staff members who are sure to help guide you in finding what you're looking for. I love that they offer half off day old bread. I love the sourdough toaster bread and how it fits perfectly in our toaster slots, I often find I'm squishing other bread to fit. I almost always treat myself to a pastry while buying my bread. I would definitely recommend giving it a visit OR looking for their products in stores like the CO-OP

This is my local bread store and I'm so lucky for that. They are located in Loehmann's plaza so within walking distance for me. There is nothing here that I have tried that I didn't like. My two favorite things are the cinnamon rolls (but they sell out quick) and the coffee cake oh and the roasted garlic batard is to die for, especially toasted with some cream cheese on it

I have been going here for years and recently I stopped in with my daughter to get a loaf of bread, and an individual size cinnamon bread. On the way home, my daughter went to eat the cinnamon bread and crawling all inside were ANTS! Sadly the store had already closed, so I called, left voicemails and even wrote just wanting to inform and also felt I should be refunded too. The owners never responded to any of my messages. It's very disheartening and I have yet to return due to the lack of follow up and service.

Grateful bread makes the most delicious mini bread loaves. They're individually wrapped in a delightful mini red and white polka dot tin with a clear snap on lid. So if you don't eat it all in one sitting you can simply snap the lid back on the tin and finish it off with your morning coffee. My favorite flavor is their pumpkin spice bread...it's super moist and quite tasty.
