I work across the way from this place so when I'm in office I always make sure to stop by for lunch or get dinner in the way home. Tonight i picked up dinner. I called my order in at lunch, and it was just finishing as I walked in. Prices are fair, the portions are big, and food is delicious! I'm a huge fan of their salt and pepper chicken. It's deep fried in good sized chunks, with peppers and onions. The chicken could be a little bigger but the flavor is right on point. We tried the broccoli beef for the first time. I like how they pack it in a hard plastic container so it doesn't leak out of the other containers. No complaints on this dish. Usually you find your self looking for beef through all the broccoli but not here! The pork fried rice and pork chow mein are spot on. The crab Rangoon were pretty good, my kids grade every Chinese restaurant based on these. Today they give a 4 star!

Good Friends has just what you want from a small, mom & pop, better-than-most, hole-in-the-wall American-Chinese restaurant (that also has Japanese and sushi on the menu). I'm talking about affordable/cheap ($16 and under) entrees and combo plates that not only come in big portions, but actually taste good! The dinner combo plates ($12-14) come with your entree choice and the basics: egg flower or hot & sour soup, sweet & sour pork, egg roll, veggie chow mein, and bbq pork fried rice. Any protein subs are extra. I got the salt & pepper spare ribs which came in good-sized pieces and fried crispy. I also ordered the house pan fried noodles (aka Hong Kong style). It was excellent and prepared exactly how I like it. Lots of meat and veggies. Our thoughtful server even brought out a side of gravy (sauce for the noodles) in case I wanted it more saucy. The basics that came with the combo were just that...basic, but the fried rice was really good. Hubs ordered his usual orange chicken (asked for non-spicy) with chicken fried rice. Again, enough for at least 2 meals and we both enjoyed the orange chicken. We had a party of 8 adults and they had reserved a table for us when we called the day before. The dining room is small, bare decor, but clean. Restrooms were also clean. There were some other customers who dined in, but the vibe was more of a takeout place, as they were busy with to-go and Door Dash orders. Our server, Vicki, was a very sweet, polite, patient, and efficient young lady. She knows good customer service! She had a good sense of humor and she and the kitchen were both very accommodating to all of our special requests and questions. The only issue was that my combo plate came out way later than everyone else's. At least they had brought out the pan fried noodles on time, so that's pretty much what I ate and boxed up most of the combo after it was finally brought out. Meet your friends at Good Friends and enjoy some good food, while supporting a small, local, family business!

Gross. Ended up throwing most of it away. I ordered orange chicken lunch with veggie low mien. Most of the chicken was just fried breading. There were no veggies in the low mien, just Greasy noodles. Cheap and Over priced . They are not counting on repeat customers..

This was the first time being here, didn't know what to order so I just got something of the lunch specials sign. I love a good fried rice but this wasn't up to par for my liking. Good tasting rice for me would be flavor without having to add soy sauce. Unfortunately I had to add the soy sauce for more flavor to the rice, whereas I would rather add sriracha for more kick. The wings were pretty tasty and I would go back to get more. I wait for about 20 ish minutes and I walked in while it was lunch time rush. The place was pretty loud in the kitchen area but there was room to stand and sit if you wanted to dine in. I'll definitely go back and try something else but I'll order ahead of time to avoid the wait.

The food seems to be going downhill. It doesn't taste authentic like it used to. I got the general chicken lunch special plate.

There is a line at lunch, so I figured they would be good. Ordered the Peking spareribs and green onion pancake. Spareribs were a disappointment. They were breaded and not crispy, and the sauce made them super soggy. I did get them to go but tried to eat them within 10 minutes. The meat was super chewy and fatty, and the bones were sharp, and all i tasted was green pepper. The green onion pancake was chewy and tasted of flour. Overall, I will go someplace else, but others liked them, so maybe I ordered the wrong thing.

Great bang for your buck!!Omg the amount of food for the price is awesome! If you have a big appetite then this is the spot to go. My husband and I each got the combination dinner which came with an entree, fried rice, chow mein, veggie egg roll, egg drop soup, and a small side of sweet and sour pork and I believe it was around $14 each. So if you want a little bit of everything then you should check them out. All of the food came out piping hot. Chow mein and fried rice were good- pretty average. Veggie egg roll was basic, not a lot of veggie in there. Egg drop soup was great! The crisp on the sweet and sour pork was on point- very good!My entree was beef broccoli. Lots of flavor, beef was tender. Good amount of broccoli and wasn't overly saturated in sauce so still some crunch to it. Kung pao shrimp entree was pretty good. Nice spice. Also got an order of the honey walnut shrimp. It was good, but the shrimp seemed a little overdone. Staff was very friendly and attentive. I do think T&Z Chinese has a slight edge, but you can't beat this deal!

First visit today for lunch with one of my principals. Bountiful portions for lunch combo (I have leftovers!), place is basic, food is okay, price is nice, service is quick and pleasant from start to finish.Ordered cashew chicken lunch combo $10.25 which was liquidy and mild. No sauce for mild egg roll. Pork fried rice was alright. Vegetable chow mein was ok. Hot & sour soup was delicious. The special lychee boba (chewy not popping boba) smoothie was different but tasty $4.50. Server provided nice large ice water upon request.Good parking. There were enough tables for self-seat after I spoke with the server at the cash register. It's possible I'll return. Not a bad place but I really love exotic flavors.

Still in search for our go to local Asian restaurant we decided to give Good Friends a try. There were no customers dining in but plenty of to go orders being picked up. The restaurant is small and quiet. We ordered two dinner combo which come with soup of the day, egg roll, fried rice, chow mein, sweet & sour pork plus the entree of your choice...we went with salt & pepper fish and teriyaki beef. So much food and it was all very tasty. We want to try their sushi options next time. Any recommendations?

Yum! Their lunch portions are generous and delicious. I got the salt and pepper fish with fried rice, chowmein and it also comes with a veggie eggroll. I love the wok taste of the chowmein and the fish was moist and flakey. Also lightly fried so the batter isn't heavy. I placed an online order and arrived by time item was expected. I paid in person and within a minute my lunch was bagged and ready. I look forward to trying out their other items. It's a small restaurant packed with customers and open kitchen so you can see the staff prepping your food. They're also quick and seem efficient.
