Golden Valley Academy

Our daughter attends GOLDEN VALLEY ACADEMY and we could not be happier. The teacher to student ratios are the best we found in CHILD care program and the teachers in our daughter's classroom are experienced, organized, calm, and nurturing. They really understand child development and everything they do is tailored to the ages and capabilities of the children in the classroom.Doing the basics well - eating, napping, exercise - are always top priority and the teachers have helped our daughter get on a schedule. In addition to the basics, the kids go outside almost every day, they do art projects & read, they have special sensory stimulation (playing with sand, smelling citrus fruits) and they work on gross and fine motor skills purposefully -.Another thing that we loved is that the children are pretty tightly grouped in age. At another preschool we looked at, the 3 month olds were with babies around the age of 1 and there was only 1 teacher for every 4 babies. The classrooms were chaotic and the level of calm at GOLDEN VALLEY ACADEMY is completely different from that environment.The school is run incredibly well. no matter how small - and always put the children first. It's so comforting to know that our child is safe & cherished by her caregivers.We looked at other preschools in the area but none of them even came close to the level of care at GOLDEN VALLEY ACADEMY.

12 years ago, I remember picking and dropping my cousin here. He use to love this school. And my niece went here as well. Whenever I pass by this school brings me back memories. I call it the yellow school.

This school has very thoughtful staff. They care about the children and want them to be prepared for kindergarten. It feels more like a home daycare than a daycare facility. I am happy to have found them. My daughter loves heading to school each and every morning!

My niece has been coming here for years. Don't believe the other reviews. These ladies treat these kids great! They're sweet and my niece loves everyone here! They really help out when you have any issues and show a lot of compassion. When I have kids they'll definitely be coming here as well! This place is wonderful and deserves a lot of recognition!

When I had a chance to choose a perfect daycare for my child where he feels safe, happy, and his well-being while I am at work going to school. I am glad I chooses Golden Valley Academy. Ms. Trica is awesome, and my son can not stop saying how much he love her.. after his mommy of course! as a single mom running around for my child, having being a part of this daycare make me feel my burden has lessen. Ms. Monika is my child's preschool teacher for two year and she taught him everything she can and most of all love and affection that I was worried about. Yes knowledge is great to have. But what about it if you can't learn to love yourself and love others. There are other teachers in this daycare that support one another like a family. This is the best daycare I've ever been to. Which I have been through at least 1 other one prior to this one and others from time to time. Now my child is entering kinder, it's time for me to review, which I should have done this a long time ago. They are very nice people. Let them know your concern and they work with you to support you and help your child's with their behavior, happiness and future! my son love it here and all the kids, their families are Great! Good teachers bring good kids= happy parents= family (all the children in the daycare, the parents of the children and the teachers!) CAN NOT BE HAPPIER ANYWHERE ELSE!

0/10 recommend for multiple reasons. Id give 0 stars if I could. My son (4 years old) was enrolled here since about 7/2022 til yesterday. This place is full of red flags. There's so many other centers in Elk Grove (that take child action) please don't need to settle for this place. Sara the owner will gaslight your child before they take anything serious other than protecting her business. In it for the money, not for kids. Said my son was a liar for communicating the way his four year old brain knows how. She shouldn't be involved in childcare. She's a business owner & that's it, she needs to be in another industry. In the video where my son got hurt, an employee walks past as my son holds his eye and somehow no one noticed. No one investigated camera footage or filed injury reports or told his dad or me until I said something the next day (even though his eye was visibly red.) My son crawled towards a kid who accidentally poked his eye. Sara the owner said either my son poked himself or this other child did, because my son fast crawled towards him to headbutt him. My son crawled normally towards him and was clearly not trying to headbutt him, he was acting as a four year old would, going up to someone to play. His eye got poked and she was turning it around on my son as if it's his fault, rather than being a mature adult. He is four years old. The owner Sara said all these kids are like her kids, but she spelt my sons name wrong & I have never seen her. She said think about the other child and his mom, what about my son- the one who got hurt? No one said they were sorry my son got hurt or hoped he was okay. She disenrolled my son without ever asking about my sons eye. She does not care about a child more than her business. During the time he went there my son told me that he plugs chargers in the wall and that his teacher told him he will be fat if he doesn't workout. Other situations would happen and I would ask about them, not accuse. I would tell them what my son would tell me and ask about it. Every time I'd be told that "they didn't see or hear anything like that happen." Somehow no one sees or hears anything here. It's clearly a communication problem and/or not paying attention. I got attitude from his teacher before too, and when I brought it up it was just denied.

My daughter went to Golden Valley for the summer as her first preschool experience. We had some challenges with potty training but she was out of diapers within weeks of starting at GVA! She loved preschool - especially Miss Carey (who always called her "pretty girl" )Pros: Potty training assistance, balanced snacks and meals provided, very accommodating hours, online portal makes the discounted prepayment option super easy.Con: This may be due to the covid precautions they're taking as a center, but it was very hard to get any face time with her classroom teachers to get information or general feedback. I rarely knew how she was doing in terms of growth and development or socially.Still, my daughter was well taken care of and happy when I picked her up so I recommend them for those looking for a little extra potty training support or those who need longer child care hours.

I enjoy GVA! I have been with them since 2018 of August. I enjoy Ms Sabrina and Ms Jennifer care for my son. The other teachers there, I have not had any chances of meeting them since now I know the ins and out of the care center. I just drop my kid and go. But they are all very lovely, kind, and care about my son's well being. I would not have been able to do what I need to do go to school, work without their help. The perks is that they are always there for me and my son. I love that they take my son to and from daycare. They are easy to work with. They are very understanding. i can not thank you enough!

I really enjoy my children being at this Center, they constantly communicate .. my children love it. Their meals are freshly prepared my kids talk About how much fun they have learning and making new friends. And staff are very friendly

My little one has attended GVA since age two and now kindergarten is around the corner.I really appreciate how accommodating the director and staff are. They have helped with potty training, introducing new foods, and my little ones speech improved. I am so happy to know that they also provide before and after school pickup to help with transition to elementary.
