Love this club! They have a steam room and dry sauna for each locker room (big draw for me to join) and the gym itself is never packed. Even when busy you get in a good sweat and the machines and their areas are always clean. I haven't used the pools as of yet but plan on utilizing when weather gets a bit too warm later in summer. They've opened up a small kitchen to pickup a quick bit to eat or a beer to guzzle down in common area.Everyone is nice and polite. Love it here :)

My sons and our family friend that works out with them twice a week because he is training for martial arts and they are training for wrestling got kicked out of Gold River Sports Club today. Their reasoning was that they don't allow personal training in their gym besides their own trainers. However he is working out with them and we are not paying him. Yes he is older so yes he has more experience working out and brings that into their workouts. They all are doing the same workout. Yes my husbands work pays his membership as he is also an employee of his, which he offers to all his employees. This isn't the first time at this gym they have been approached during their workout. The first time they were told no personal training and when our friend said he isn't that he is just working out with them they asked him if he even had a membership to the gym. The second time they were told they couldn't purposely show their abs. In any case we have spoken to the manager Mike who told us that he has seen them and other employees and people who work out have told them it is personal training. We have argued against that point as I have pointed out. Per their own personal trainers at work they stand there not working out with their clients. Our friend does not tell the boys any other workouts they should do when they go to the gym by themselves. All they do is the same workout on the days they meet up. This is not personal training. He does not even have a personal training license/certificate. I want the boys to know how to work out/lift weights correctly. I have left a message with Spare Time corporate offices and will be bringing this to their attention as well. This is bordering on harassment and I have seen no one else being approached during their workout. My sons tell me that others working out tell them good job on how hard they are working out.

Gorgeous tennis court area but the inside sports club could use some revamping / refreshing. Just a bit dated. Other than that nice accommodating facility with nice staff and everything you could need.

hi-ya!So we joined--temporarily...because we didn't need some of their services they offered until the summer and didn't feel like paying the monthly fees while we didn't plan to go...but they facility is really nice.We were shown around and got a great feel for the staff and the facilities that were available to members. The pool, tennis courts and common areas were really nice. Even though we didn't re-sign up yet (but will soon) I was able to go a few times on trial. The gym area is so dead. If you like lifting (not counting aerobic type classes)---but if you are looking to lift with NOBODY around then this place works, but I really like having people around and just a loud ambience....so I felt like the gym area was too dead. But the men's locker room facility was clean, had plenty of space and was easily accessible.

On January 27,2024 my mother in law who is in a wheelchair 93 years old , my partner and I who is in a knee scooter ( had an accident days before the event ) We drove from San Francisco to support our friends playing sectional tennis. We came in and told by a very nice lady to check in but because a long drive we need to use the restroom and check in afterwards, she was very friendly and had no problem with it. Because of my mother in law who is in a wheelchair and me in a scooter, my partner needs to push the wheelchair next to the door, while me holding the door and kept it open. I helped my mother in law in the restroom, I let her hold in the sink and moved the wheelchair again next to the door so my partner can grab it right away without making a left going to the cubicles. When my partner backing up the wheelchair, me holding my mother in law in her one hand while the other hand is holding in the wall , a Caucasian tall guy yelled on us saying " YOU ARE NOT SUPPOSE TO DO THAT, WE WILL GET SUE IF YOU MAN GO INSIDE IN THE WOMENS RESTROOM" . My partner said " I APOLOGIZE, I DIDN'T GO INSIDE, I AM JUST GRABBING THIS WHEELCHAIR OUT WHICH IS NEXT TO THE DOOR. Even me apologized to him that "TODAY IS MY FIRST DAY USING THIS KNEE SCOOTER, I USUALLY USE CRUTCHES, WE DIDN'T REALIZE IT WOULD BE HARDER TO HELP MY MOTHER IN LAW . I SWEAR TO YOU MY PARTNER DIDN'T GO INSIDE, WE KEPT THE DOOR OPEN AND ASK PERMISSION FROM TWO WOMEN WHO IS ONE GOING IN AND COMING OUT FROM THE RESTROOM ". He didn't hear us , instead he kept yelling in the hallway. My partner is very embarrassed of being yelled in front of people in the hallway and the people waiting for their games who's sitting in front of the front desk. We went to the tennis court and watched the game, an hour later, my mother in law wants to use the restroom again, my partner looking for a nearest restaurant so we can use the restroom. I explained to him that I will asked permission whoever is there using the restroom before you go in, that you will just drop the wheelchair next to the door, which we did, after using the restroom, heading out, the guy is yelling again in the hallway "YOU GUYS DOING IT AGAIN !! " . He was so mad and he was so loud to the point that a lady tennis player, came to him asking what happened, so he told her what happened, while we were passing in the front desk he also told the lady " OF COURSE THEY DO IT AGAIN " . We didn't say anything and never argue with him in the hallway because all people are looking at us. We are very embarrassed , we felt like we didn't disrespect women in the restroom because we asked permission first plus my partner didn't even totally went inside, his right leg is on the door while reaching far to be able to drop off his mother who is in the wheelchair. Bless your heart whoever you are humiliated us in front of people, we are Asian and we know how to respect especially in a certain situation. God bless you.

Why don't they fix up the hot tub during summer months but instead do it in the winter year after year is beyond me. Why a one-week job is going to require two months now (if it won't get postpone again "because of the rain", what rain?) is beyond me.

I moved to the area and joined the club with high hopes given the good weather here and apparently abundant tennis facilities. However, the club does not provide any organized tennis services beyond the most basic level. Their Wednesday and Saturday tennis drops ins cater mostly to 2.5 and 3.0 level players. As a higher level player who's always wanting to improve themselves, while at the same time still socializing, I'd like something a little more competitive. My inquiries to the tennis director about this did not go anywhere. I was told essentially that it is what it is... deal with it. If you're joining the club to play tennis you may be disappointed.

Very frustrating! The pools for lap swimming are consistently too cold, we ask and then ask and ask again to turn up the thermostat, but no one cares about the customer. And, Very expensive club too! Under Covid, the showers are of course closed and so they are saving energy costs there. Why can't they keep the pools warmer for evening swimming?
