Found on yelp, friendly service, large portions and excellent taste. Would stop again if passing through town.

We live just outside of Lockeford and we love this place! It's our favorite breakfast place for sure ...and it's often the requested destination by our adult son with special needs. In fact, our last visit was last Thursday, his 34th birthday and George's was the only place we would go! BTW - every time we go, we have the great fortune of being cared for by Alejandra and she is ALWAYS EXCELLENT! Like every other time, Alejandra greeted us immediately after we arrived. She seated us and cared for us from start to finish like we are family. Great personality, very attentive, professional, sweet and engaging. The food is always great, but Alejandra always takes the experience to the next level. Ask for Alejandra if possible - you won't be disappointed ...she is fabulous!

Stopped in here after an 8 mile hike famished and this place did not disappoint. The food was really good, as was the service. It did take quite some time to get our food but that was expected since they were pretty busy. Ambiance is typical of a diner like this. The menu has a lot of options and I'll definitely be back.

WOW!!! They renovated inside and it looks great. Always great food, really good small town customer service and easy to get in because the place is huge inside. Looks so much better inside. Was really surprised to see this today.

Stopped in for breakfast. The service was amazing, every employee was friendly. The restaurant was clean and the food was I had the bacon/avocado burrito and my husband had the chicken fried steak. Keep up the great job! Thank you.

So busy.. especially on a Sunday.. but delicious food for sure!!! Hubby had the eggs benedict. One of the best he's had in a while. Side order of pancake, and I ordered the chorizo burrito which was delicious. We'll definitely come back to try other things on the menu

Wow! What a hidden gem. We drive past and see George's sign on Highway 88. For my birthday this weekend, my husband said let's go and try it. It was Sunday around 2:10 pm. Large parking lot as they are located in a shopping center. Their current hours are daily from 5:30 am to 2:30 pm. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner.We were greeted by George and his wonderful smile! He has had his restaurant for over 50 years now. What a great guy. He was so nice and friendly and assured us to not worry that they closed at 2:30 pm we could stay as long as needed. I ordered a patty melt and steak fries. And of course coffee! lol My husband ordered the fried shrimp and mashed potatoes/gravy. This comes with steamed veggies. We ordered a side of garlic bread and the beef soup. And of course...hot chocolate with whipped cream.Service came quick! There were only a couple of tables since it was close to closing, and a regular came in so it was nice to see someone treated special.My patty melt was delicious and I love the creamy steak fries. The sandwich comes on rye bread with cheese, classic! My husband enjoyed the shrimp and the mashed potatoes and gravy had a great flavor. He loved how the veggies had been warmed up on the flat top, delicious!If you are there and the beef soup is on the meni, GET IT! Wow, we should have ordered one to go.Now let's talk service..... Thank you Marisa! I can't tell who had a bigger smile, Marisa or George. She was amazing, professional, friendly, helpful, just a delight! All together the bill came to $49. Very reasonable for how you are treated, quantity of food and flavor. Also they have clean restrooms.We will be coming back, would love to know what days they have the beef soup! lolThank you again Marisa and George, you are delightful.

Passing through on our way back from Great Wolf and stopped for food. The food was amazing and the service was excellent.

I must say after reading all these reviews, I am quite surprised about a lot of these negative comments. I go there almost every morning, and after two years of eating breakfast here, I haven't been disappointed. They have great staff, who are always very friendly. They always greet, and serve us with a smile. Alejandra always make us feel like we are dinning at home. Even George, the owner, comes out serving us with amazing customer services, and a smile. My family, and I love this place.Even my son Alex gets up every morning at 6 a.m to have breakfast with us. That's how pleased we are. Thank you George, and staff!
