The best food truck on UC Davis campus in my opinion. :)It's kind of far, near the Mondavi Building, but I promise its worth the walk. It's better than Shah's since the portion size seems bigger and food comes out in less than 1 min, and lines are shorter than Shah's.I usually get the chicken over rice with extra spicy sauce (no extra cost for sauce) :). ($7.25 with a drink)The food always comes out piping hot, with enough sauce~The lettuce us crunchy with plenty of white sauce on it.I am so stuffed when ever I get this meal!My only criticism is the portion of meat to rice, they tend to give you more rice than meat. The food truck is only open until 2-3 PM, I wish it was open until 6 PM :(.Other than that, the cashier is friendly and food is always fresh~Will definately stop by again when I feel like walking toward Mondavi.

For all intents and purposes, this is pretty interchangeable with Shahs. They are owned by the same people, their menu is the same, and their food tastes the same. My go-to is the chicken gyro without tomatoes, and it is yummy. My only complaint would be that the pita bread isn't very high quality.

This place is so much better than Shah's although they seem very similar and are most likely owned by the same people. However, this Fusion Fresh is definitely a lot more fresh than Shah's because they seem to make the food as people order and they also have soda in cans (they're still carbonated!). Also the salad is a lot more crunchy so that's an extra plus. The portion size is about the regular size. I got a chicken a rice plate with extra white sauce and extra Sriracha sauce which came out to $7.75! It is so jealous! Yummy yummy!! Their chicken is delicious and tastes very fresh as mentioned before. Also, they don't charge extra for using credit card or debit card so that's always a plus! The workers here are extremely friendly and don't make you feel rushed to order or pay. However, the downside is that they do not have restrooms nearby and the Mondavi Center isn't open for their customers. Also, there were only about 6 tables for people to lounge around and eat. I would recommend this place if you don't want to wait in a long line and want a break from school. You need to pass by the arboretum to get this mini food truck so you get fresh air and yummy food!

My husband and I absolutely love food trucks. We go to events where they have more then 20 trucks in one area so I think our standard in food trucks are pretty high. My husband's coworker recommended a truck in Davis and we decided to stop by here since we were going to Davis anyway! Parking as you know is a pain, it's on UCD campus. But we were happy with the food choices they had and my husband ended up ordering the falafel plate and I got the chicken gyro. Both were delicious and there was no wait! I'm glad we checked this place out!

My go-to is lamb over rice or chicken over rice. Tbh there isn't a drastic flavor difference but the textures are noticable. One order goes for $9.50 (after tax), I remember when it used to be $7. The price includes a "free" soft drink or water bottle. I don't think it's worth the price now but Shah's has such a dear spot in my heart. It's my comfort food after a rough midterm or a quick bite when I'm too lazy to cook dinner. This food truck usually never has a long line as its at the back edge of campus. There's an identifical food truck at the Silo which usually always has a wait (10-15 minutes), but once you order, the food comes out almost immediately. They're one of the trucks that open earliest and stay the latest. The rice dish is sooooo filling. I can usually only eat half and save the rest for later. But when I do finish the whole thing, I'm definitely stuffed for another 8 hours. You get tons of rice, a decent portion of meat (depending on who's making it), lettuce and white sauce. And sriracha if you want it spicy. Extra white sauce or Sriracha is an additional $0.75 which is absolutely way too much, in my opinion. The dish is already $9. But I'll definitely be back. It's good, a lot of food and convenient.

Exactly 100 steps from my office, yet I'd walk a mile for the food! Halal is my life and this little cart is everything thing I would want. Big portions, reasonable prices, including a soda, and pleasant service. Lamb Rice plate, trifecta Chicken Tacos, and Tikka Tuesday makes 100 steps a real fast and fabulous meal!

Get the egg and cheese breakfast burrito and ask them to put a hashbrown inside. You're welcome.I work across the street so I come here about once a week. It's tasty, fast, and reasonably priced. I usually get the breakfast burrito with a hashbrown in the morning and it's so filling I can just eat some yogurt in the afternoon for lunch. It is seriously so delicious too. Otherwise, my favorite is the chicken quesadilla, and I ask for salad instead of chips. It's just shredded iceberg, but it's nice and crunchy and fresh. With the salad I can eat half a quesadilla for lunch and save the second one for the next day. One is a little too much for me, but half with a salad is perfect!

Pretty standard halal that is a cut below "Halal guys." The highlights here are lamb/chicken over rice- which comes with a basic salad and a drink. The meats are tasty and well seasoned, and the rice it comes with is just average. I wish that for the price you also get a piece of pita bread or something more, as I find a small tray of food unsatisfying.Another good deal is the breakfast burrito before 10:30 - I get it with chicken, eggs, and cilantro and the eggs are fluffy and nice. Otherwise, I don't recommend options with fries or chips and the quesadilla here is pretty average. For a quick bite around Mondavi/the visitor center this place suffices but mostly for the chicken/lamb over rice.

Just as good as Shah's! I come here sometimes when the Shah's line is ridiculous. Which happens pretty frequently, and understandably given how good Shah's is.The quality of this place is on par with Shah's. there's some slight differences in the chicken seasoning, but it's delicious nonetheless. I think the chicken cubes are bigger over here than at Shah's? Or I might just be imagining things. In any case, I recommend this place if Shah's is too packed. Or if you're near Mondavi center in general. It's good stuff!

The chicken over rice is very similar to the one served in silo! The meat chunks are much bigger and the vege tastes fresher! Even tho it's a bit more expensive than the one in silo, it worth the price! Another great thing about here is that there is no long line! You don't have to WAIT!
