Freshmedi Mediterranean & Afghan Cuisine

Freshmedi is a true hidden gem. The medi nachos are a MUST-TRY...I seriously think about them from time to time. The portions here are generous and everything I've tried has been delicious.My only critique is the AC wasn't working when I last visited, which made for a VERY hot dining-in experience.

Really love the Mediterranean nachos! The rest of the food in my opinion isn't that special. The owners/workers are always kind .

After 3 years, here I am again. It is over 100 outside, and my friend and I decided to get gyro for dinner. Our regular place was closed, and FreshMed is close our house. My friend ordered, and we went to pick it up.It took a moment for someone to come out of t he kitchen when we rang the little service bell. I want to give them more stars for the lady, she was super-sweet as we wrangled with some language barriers. Our order was not ready. Honestly, we waited so long that I think they made the food when we arrived and paid. I ordered a Greek Salad (should stick with the Greeks for this) and a Gyro Wrap. They were ok...The Greek salad was not what I expect from a Greek salad. It is more of a mix of things, and comes with a tiny cup of dressing. The wrap was just ok, more beef than lamb, and dry. My friend had fries that were soft, but she did like the Samosa. I wanted to have an alternative Med place, but this is unfortunately not it.

We dropped by for lunch and noticed that most people seem to take their food to go, and while they do offer the option to dine in which is what we opted for, I think take out would have been better.There is a nice lady at the register where people place their take out order and she also serves the tables. The way their system is set up she needs to go in the back to help with the orders and she wasn't around at times when we needed something, so service is something that can be improved.We ordered lamb kebob with rice which was good, expect a couple of pieces that had strings of fat and we hard to chew. The koufte was tasty and soft and the rice tasted great. The portions for the meat were small for the price in my opinion. I left with bittersweet taste, I wanted to love this place, but unfortunately it did not meet my expectations.

I'm so shocked in these reviews so I'm hoping we just caught this place on an off day. Our food was not good, at all. It actually tasted like it was leftover food heated up. The tzatziki was the consistency of water and tasted like water. I had Greek yogurt, fresh dill, and lemons so I had to use my own ingredients to make it taste like something. Not fresh in any way. Waste of money.

The service was decent. The food was above board. We had the Meza Platter, Vegetarian Samosa and extra Falafel plate. Everything was very flavorful. The Dolmas have a bit of heat, but that was fine. The Hummus had the perfect texture and flavor, and the olives with goat cheese pulled everything together nicely. The Baba Ganoush was perfect. The Tziki was divine. And the Samosa was better than I could have hoped for. We will be returning for a follow up meal.

I did want to gave bad review to this restaurant because i have been here more then 10 times with my family, food is good buy one complaint i have is with the cups they have, every time we come here i can not drink water or soda because their cups smells like bleach a-lot and looks like they dont wash them after bleach. I hope the owners see this review and next time we are here i dont smell the bleach on their cups otherwise my review would lose some stars.

The food is always fresh and delicious. The Mediterranean nachos are the best. They are made with fresh fried pita chips. I also ordered the chicken salad which is also good , it comes with large portions of chicken strips on top of fresh lettuce , tomatoes, carrots, celery, onions and cucumbers. You can choose your choice of salad dressing from ranch to Italian to thousand island. Please go it Awesome.....

This is my favorite Mediterranean restaurant. The best good and service. Unique offerings like Mediterranean nachos. So good and tacos!! Swarma is delicious.
