We are so glad we chose Susan and the Wedding Department at Freeport Bakery for our wedding cake and dessert bar. From the very beginning, Susan was incredibly responsive and helpful. She patiently answered all of my questions and worked closely with us to find options that fit perfectly within our budget. Susan was an absolute rockstar, going above and beyond with number crunching to make sure everything was just right!They coordinated drop off at our venue which appeared to go smoothly because I had not a clue when they arrived and when they left - they communicated with our coordinator and venue manager which really helped alleviate some day of stressors.The cake and desserts were beautiful and absolutely delicious! Our guests couldn't stop raving about the dessert selection, and most of it was gone by the end of the night - which is exactly what we hoped for! We even managed to save and freeze a few treats for later. One of the perks of choosing Freeport Bakery for your wedding is the option to have a fresh, smaller version of your cake made for your one year anniversary. This place used to be so great. The cakes were moist & flavorful. Lately, their game is off. In May, I bought a chocolate cake to take to an out of town event and it was very dry and tasted stale. The web site said it would hold up well to travel. I was embarrassed because normally, Freeport has the best treats and the home where I brought the cake had never had Freeport before. No one finished their slices. They have a self taught baker in the family & her items are always top notch so I wanted something that would be just as good as hers, if not better. What I brought from Freeport didn't come close. Over the summer a neighbor bought a lemon cooler sheet cake from Freeport for her own party, and it was SO good!! It was everything a person would expect from Freeport. Moist, flavorful, and beautiful. I thought, "Ok, my cake from May was just a fluke. Good to know." Normally, I bake my own cakes but my husband suggested I run to Freeport this week & see what they had for his birthday. I bought the seasonal caramel and chocolate cake that has dipped dried citrus slices on top. Beautiful cake! Masculine and pretty. It was perfect. I set it out for 20 minutes before serving. The frosting tasted like butter, not like caramel. The chocolate cake was dry. My husband said it tasted like the cake had been made several days prior to being decorated. I have to agree. It didn't taste like a fresh, moist cake. Again, I was disappointed. I'm not sure what to do with the rest of this cake. I'm also not sure if I'll ever pick up a cake from Freeport again. Nugget always has good cakes. Maybe I'll just go there when I don't feel like DIY.

Went with Freeport for my wedding cake and dessert bar and it was the best decision EVER.Absolute professionalism - from setting up a consultation meeting to communicating all the details and needs to delivery of the baked goods - everything was PERFECT and went so smoothly.It was clear that they do this often and they do it well. Plus all their baked goods were so delicious and yummy and they were also able to match my inspo pic exactly for the wedding cake. I highly recommend them for any event needs and will definitely go back!

EEVERYTHING was delicious. The simpler pastries all the way to the sweeter options. I wish I visited again during our trip up North. All the employees were so sweet and caring g too. It was a great first stop and could definitely last all day eating every option they offered.Small seating area outside but quaint, the weather was refreshing too.

5 stars for the fact my husband was able to call 2 days in advance and get a custom cake done!!! He called MANY due to terrible time management and Freeport didn't hesitate to say no problem and confirm it'd be ready by my bday. The cake sponge was the autumnal flavor I believe? Sweet, good, no hard complaints! It got the job done & was beautiful. The cookies were added upon pick up and were 10/10 beautiful!!!! Such a cute gift idea or holiday treat for yourself. Not super sweet, not super dry- just very standard/average cookies.

You can NEVER go wrong with anything on their menu. From their pastries to their cakes. Their coffee is also lovely. The moment you pull up; the charm takes over. The employees seem to genuinely like their job. You're always greeted with a smile. A warm hello welcome in!! Inside is small, and cozy. It makes me feel like I'm walking into my grandmas home. Amazing Bakery , White Chocolate Mocha is a must! I always get the Carrot Cake for birthday parties, baby showers and Everyone always LOvEs it!! Best Carrot Cake around!! Staff is nice for the most part, anytime I visit it is always busy and I always feel rushed... I always know what I'm ordering too, it just seems like when being helped they are nice and not at the same time. Hard for me to explain but the pastries are worth it. Parking is on the side of the building, very convenient.

Place is a joke, stopped in to grab a quick pastry before work. Went in right at 8am (when they open) got a couple extras for coworkers. The berry danish was dry and pretty small. Cheese croissant was disgusting! They should have been fresh but they were completely cold and seemed like they were made 24hrs earlier. $7ea and it was just a dense cold cheese block inside a croissant with once slice of ham. To top it off when I went to pay the lady behind the counter said "sorry we're still cashless" Cashless since when!? Covid? Such a joke entitled yuppie bakery.
