It's worth it to come here just for the scones and clotted/Devonshire cream. I hated scones as a kid because I thought they were just bad biscuits; I hated scones into adulthood. When I had the scones here (good stuff) with clotted cream and jam, I changed my long held prejudice against these misunderstood pastries. This was the mountaintop of breakfasts. I loved it. Everything else was just okay

This is the place to go for English pub-food or an English breakfast! I recently came on a weeknight with some friends, and were able to be seated without a reservation. The restaurant didn't seem too busy. Weekends however, are a different story- I have yet to have weekend brunch here, because the wait time is always over 50 minutes!Dinner items I tried:- Pimms cup: a classic cocktail, nice and refreshing- although they use lemon juice + sprite instead of ginger ale. I found that it was kind of missing the "spice" element that Pimms cup usually has.- Olallieberry linen: never heard of ollallieberry before this, but it's very similar to a blackberry. Very delicious twist on a white linen.- Shepherd's pie: really delicious and flavorful, topped with creamy mashed potatoes. Highly recommend.- Fried picklesOverall, love the theme/vibe, super fun. Service was also great- our waitress overheard us talking about a birthday at our table, and brought out a complimentary dessert + candle for the birthday girl.

Ambiance was good and welcoming. Felt like a nice British pub. The food was trash. The quiche had no flavor, no salt, crust crumbled to the first touch of the fork. The marmalade and jam had hair on the jar. My friend asked for more potatoes on her corned beef hash.... "HASH", and was told it would be extra for the potatoes lol. The scones and Devonshire cream was about the only thing that was good there. Will not be coming back.

Awesome food and thankfully easy parking in this area of Sacramento. Went to brunch here with some family and the service was quick and polite and the food was delicious! The vibe of the place is totally quaint pub vibes with the decor and all the wood and brick accents. Totally love the vibe of the place

Went on a Sunday morning, and it was busy. We only had to wait for about ten minutes. The food was amazing, my husband ordered the Full English and loved it. I had the Pub Grill. Plenty of food and good coffee. He also had a hot buttered rum, it was sweet but delicious (I've never tried it before). I'll definitely go back. I'd love to try it in the spring when we can sit outside , the seating looks nice and comfortable.

Yes, you can mess up breakfast. Skip the waffles! Butter tasted AWFUL and the syrup was FLAVORLESS. McDonald's has better tasting syrup - seriously. Their bacon had an odd flavor too. I was very disappointed and we will not be dining here again.

Love the building and setting, but the food I order is always bland. I go back every few years hoping for a change.

Brunch during the work week, what a terrific idea. I haven't been to Fox and Goose in ages but every time I passed it, I would dream about their crumpets and Devonshire cream. It's still delicious. The cream is soft and pillowy, not too sweet. Perfection! I also ordered the British omelet which I highly recommend. It's made with Banger Sausage, sautéed onions and sharp cheddar cheese. My only complaint would be service is on the slower side; however, I saw a sign outside that they were celebrating 50 years so they are doing something right!

Great atmosphere and the food was great! We ordered the quiche which made for a perfect light breakfast that fit my appetite perfectly, and the English breakfast complete with eggs, grilled banger, tomato. mushroom, bacon, and baked beans! We ordered the mini scones and Devonshire cream whisked arrived first and couldn't keep our hands reaching for another before our meal came.
