First time going in since pre-covid. Had dinner the other day with my spouse. Birthday dinner, actually. We first tried a local steak house, who had almost a two hour wait for a table. Nuh uh.. Let's go to Formaggio. Despite a convention on premises and seemingly an entire high school in the lobby, we seated right away. Our server was Michael, who recognized us from years ago. Pleasant fellow. Food at Formaggio was good in the past but they really stepped it up since Covid. Wow, dinner was fantastic.Appetizer: Fried house made ravioli with a bed of sun dried tomato concasse and a tart house made sun dried tomato aioli drizzle 5/5Appetizer: Garlic bread 0/5Course: Chicken Parmesan 5/5 Course: New York Steak with gnocchi and roasted cherry tomatoes 5/5Desert: Tiramisu, obviously 2/5The ravioli were stuffed with a soft/delectable ricotta mixture and the ravioli had a wonderfully rubbery, yet crunchy exterior. The concasse and aoli really drove it home. The serving includes two ravioli and we were kinda wishing we ordered two, it was so good. The steak seemed to be aged, but I didn't ask. It was perfectly cooked and the gnocchi had a nice slight crunch and stuffed with mozz, I think. Really delish. Until then, I didn't like gnocchi.Tiramisu. To Marriott's defense, desserts are hit-or-miss regardless of quality and one could almost always find a better satiation of sweet tooth at a doughnut shop. A little plastic cup with two layers of whipped mascarpone and coffee flavor, crushed lady fingers on the bottom. Yeah, okay. It was good. Not much to say here. Like creme brulee - a bit cliche. Also, I can't say enough about Michael. He knows the menu really well and has great recommendations for pairings. Guy really shows passion for his work and we will be sure to sit in his section on future meals. This review would be 3/5 but Michael bumped it up. I believe our next visit will be Valentine's day where Formaggio does a special multi-course dinner and it's exceptional every year. Can't wait. The not-so-great: garlic bread. $10 for four bite-sized squares of baguette. Really? Come on man. Consumer price for a whole baguette isn't even a dollar. For $10 I expected a pretty big basket of bread with butter going down my wrist like melting ice cream. I mean, for food served at this level the bread is generally given away with some basalmic and oil. I wouldn't expect that at Marriott because they seemingly don't roll that way. But even then, I'd expect the two-inch-square garlic bread to be packed in buttery garlicky goodness. Nut no, it was just.. Boring. Meh. Avoid the garlic bread and double up on the fried ravioli - or save a Hamilton.

Oof. Bone marrow was odd, and the bread and salad served with it was delicious. I cannot clearly tell if it perhaps was microwaved or just roasted on the one side but it was crystallized and hardened on one end, such a shame. The Caesar salad could have been fine but they add some tajin or something atop of it which gives it an unrealistic crunch. The burger. The burger. The meat was prepared medium rare to absolute perfection by someone who knows what they are doing. Then they throw it on the wrong crumb of bun, crunchy bacon bits, a chile jam apparently but couldn't notice that amongst the arugula and f*king pickled cauliflower whaaaaat. Wine selections from Paso and other fun spots, not terrible prices. Staff just kind and trying to make a buck so I can't fault the place too hard. The menu is next level autism though and needs addressed. Maybe the chef needs to cook what he wants or if he created this wraparound anus food then let him go, Christ I was embarrassed for that mound of meat. Cheers peeps.Okay, the crème brûlée. It's full of fruit and pistachios and assorted crunched nuts. And a peanut butter mixture. I had to remove another star for this one folks.

This was truly a tale of two meals. Meal number one was dinner and I had the seafood scampi. The flavors were just OK. The downside was a decent seafood restaurant will clean out or make sure most of the sand and debris that comes in shellfish is gone That definitely did not happen in here. There was a lot of sand from the mussels and clams and some hard chunks of shell as well. Had tiramisu for desert. It was dried out and not. Dry good...felt like it was made a few days ago and just stored in the fridge. Decent wine selection and very nice waiter.Breakfast on the other hand was very good. big chunks of pepper onion and diced ham. Absolutely huge, like 2 people sharing huge. Waiter named Rolin did a Great job.

Their Old Fashion cocktails are spot on! Fabulous drinks, great food, excellent ambiance. Located inside the Marriott they have a great pool side seating area and lovely decor in the general restaurant areas.

All in all food was good, pasta was a bit too oily for me. Pizza and meatballs were really good. The cocktail was also good not the best one i tried. All in all we liked it here.

Not going to lie.. I really wasn't surprised at all. I read some of the reviews and they are pretty accurate with what they say. My gf and I came here for Valentine's Day. 5 course meal for $58 per person. Which to be honest is not bad at all. As we arrived the host greeted us. Every monotone and sounded like she hated her job. Anyways we sat down and had a chance to look over the menu. Our waiter didn't really know the menu. I believe he was new so we cut him some slack. Our first course came out. 1. Amuse Bouche. Which was a crouton with bacon jam on top. Literally a one bite thing so I understood that. 2. Buratta Confit with asparagus. Also very small dish but they put it on a cool plate so I guess that's ok?? So far not impressed at all. 3. Ricotta ravioli. And guys it was 1 ravioli.. just one. This whole time literally made me feel like we were at a tasting and not a 5 course dinner. 4. New York steak. Literally like a 4 ounce steak. With a beat sauce that looked like açaí. I'm glad they got the temperature correct. But again literally a 4 bite steak. 5. Dessert which I'm not even going to get into. Just not worth mentioning. Overall the "5 course menu" was more of a tasting then a dinner. Very sad and overrated. Especially for a Valentines dinner. Waste of money and time. Definitely other places out there to go eat.

So I have been eating at this bar/restaurant many times and about once a week. I would order something out and eat it at the bar, while having a few drinks. I have asked permission many times and never had an issue. The bartenders have always allowed me.This week, I've eaten at the bar/restaurant a few times and today I ordered out and was enjoying a nice double with a few more to come. Instead, I was told that I could not bring in outside food and need to leave.I told the women, that i have done this many times and had permission from the bar staff. She they are wrong and it was not allowed. I don't understand how multiple bartenders could all be wrong. So not sure what happened today and way all of a sudden I had to leave. The same women who said It wasn't allowed, has been in the bar when I've done it the past.So I have eight more days at this hotel and will be eating my dinner and getting my drinks some place else. Looks like they just lost a ton of moneyI am a lifetime Marriott Titanium Marriott Member with over 1,700 stays around the world. This is the first time it has ever happened. Frustrating part is that I asked permission and the staff said it was ok and had no problem with it.

The salads are expensive for the size. The entree salad appeared to be about the same size as the side salad. I do not recommend the Caesar salad. The pasta was decent, but nothing special. Service was good, which you hope for when the restaurant isn't crowded. A business traveler can get a decent meal without much effort here, but I would not travel far to eat here.
