While on a road trip, we stopped in this area to try out food. We ran in to try out their Musubi and it was delicious. I wish we would have taken a picture first but we did not. Made to order, it was perfect. Might need to go back for our picture. The location is at a small shopping center, a small place but clean and efficient, friendly staff. 10/10

What fresh and delicious options here! I hope this business thrives cause the owner was so kind and even gave me a discount for my work badge. I got shrimp mixed with the most delish spicy mayo and some spicy tuna. The seaweed salad was delicious and he didn't even charge me extra for it (some places have). They had a nice variety and the location seemed nice and clean. I will be back!

I was in the area and when I saw Fishology Poke Bar I immediately knew what I wanted for lunch. Poke is one of my favorite foods and always a treat when I can find a good spot. The Yelp ratings were good too, so I was excited. The shop is small, but has seating for dine in and is quick service where you order and choose your toppings and add ins at the counter (like most poke places). They also had a cold case with drinks, crab salad and seaweed salad available. I opted for the Regular Poke Bowl ($18) with 2 scoops of spicy tuna and 1 scoop of salmon. The scoops seemed generous compared to some places I've been. The free toppings are red onion, ginger, seaweed and wasabi- I got a bit of all of them and it was interesting that they mixed them all into the poke with my choices of sauce. Typically ginger and wasabi are more side items. I chose spicy mayo, and sweet and spicy unagi sauce and they mixed everything up and put it on top of a 1/2 salad, 1/2 brown rice base. Their additional toppings are listed as $1 each and there's a variety including those I typically see as upgrades (seaweed salad and crab salad) and some that I thought were weird as $1 upgrades (Furikake, sesame seeds, cilantro, jalapenos, etc.) It definitely encourages customers to keep it simple.I opted to add the crab salad and seaweed salad ($1/each) because I really enjoy them with my poke and they did add what seemed to be a generous amount. When I got home I enjoyed the poke bowl, it was fresh and tasted great. Definitely a great lunch treat!

Food: I got salmon, ahi, and shrimp in my bowl. Everything was fresh. Ordered the regular size bowl with 3 scoops. Price, just under $19 total. No extras. A lot of topping options and sauce options. Bowl was very good... but maybe a tad overpriced. Service: Place wasn't busy at the hour I went in (approx. 1pm). So, quick service. Person who took my ordered gave recommendations on sauces. Very polite. Ambience: Clean, white walls and tables. A little basic besides the cute neon light that was good for a photo op. Napkin and utensil station was clean.

Consistency is key and fishology is consistent. Their protein choices and quality are amazing and generous . The staff is consistent with their sauces and mix ins which for me is incredible. The generous staff and central location make this a Folsom staple. The indoor and outdoor seating make this a year round spot and honestly whenever I'm craving a light but fulfilling meal I come here.

We ended up here for unplanned dinner but I was pleasantly surprised by our meal. The portion was a bit small for the price but overall I thought it was better quality than some other places I've tried. We were greeted upon entering and they were ready to serve us. Everything is listed out on the menu above but I like actually seeing the ingredients, which you can see but nothing is labeled so I was constantly looking up at the screen and down at the counter. Otherwise it's pretty straightforward and similar ordering style to other build your own poke bowl places. Everything tasted very fresh and I loved that they had some things that aren't commonly at other places like the lemon wedges, cream cheese bites, and togarashi. I was not a fan of the crab salad though, it had more of a tuna salad texture which I wasn't a fan of.Would definitely consider eating here again if I was in this shopping center! It's not an everyday kind of place though since our total came out to $40 for two poke bowls and a side of rice (which was $4 and I thought that was really unnecessary considering you can buy a small bag under $10). But it's a good option if you're wanting poke in Folsom.

I've been coming here since they first opened. I eat a fair amount of poke and have been to several poke restaurants while traveling.I came here about a year ago and was turned off by the smell.I went in yesterday and immediately left because of the smell. Like I said, I've been to a lot of poke restaurants and they don't smell horribly fishy.Maguro Spot, Paakai Poke, and Hanalei Poke are the best.

Poke is always a light and healthy meal, so I wanted to check this little place out. Couple tables for seating. First off, it's $20 for the "large" size bowl, which is a decent size but still steep. The average person could finish it when hungry. The main issue I saw with this place - there was only a single staff up front making the poke bowls. No water/drink machine, just drinks for purchase. No soy sauce container provided either? If you want to ask the worker something, you'll have to wait a while while he finishes the bowl of the customer ordering or a door dash order. They need at least 2 people up front handling things. Quality wise the poke was pretty good, with a good selection of protein and toppings (otherwise I'd have dropped 2 stars). Given this experience, probably won't come back.

Great spot in Folsom for poke bowls. I always do well with the regular, in fact, I have a hard time finishing it, but my husband always devours the large.Friendly staff, very clean and great selection of fish. Sometimes not all the fish looks amazing so I just get what looks good. I've never been disappointed. The sauces and toppings are varied and they don't hold back. We like to eat there but it seems most people do take out. I also like that they have some outdoor tables. Great for lunch or dinner.

I used to love this place I would go there at least once a week since they opened. I haven't gone there for about six months since I was so disappointed last time. Went there today and the food was absolutely disgusting. The fish was beyond fishy taste, I usually get their seaweed as mixed in and whatever seaweed they changed to like disintegrate in terms of fish like a black brown color with a bunch of tiny flakes and taste awful, I asked for cucumber. I got two slices of cucumber, I asked for cilantro I got probably three leaves. Unfortunately will not be back.
