If this place wasn't the only place around town to buy Polynesian items, I wouldn't come. It's a price up and down issue for me. I always feel like I'm being rushed or watched through out the store when I'm looking for a specific item. Location is in a small outlet area. Parking lot is a decent size for this little store. It's fairly clean. Staff (the women workers) are really friendly and they seem to give me a good price on things. I feel better when I leave the store knowing that I was given a fair price. They have a lot of options on the things that we're always looking for. The case of lamb, wish we could buy them by the bag or even the pound. Because we have no room in our little freezer to store such a big box of lamb that we're always told, they can't sell separately when we pick some up. The green bananas are sometimes too brown. We're usually looking for nice green bananas. We still shop here because it's the closest place to us to buy Polynesian food. Over all, if there was another place to shop at, this place would be my last resort. I hate to say it but, it's just my honest opinion.

Poor customer service. They try and haggle you for more money and sometimes they change the prices from week to week. I come here for my family because this is the only store close by that sells island food, but no more. I'd rather drive to Elk Grove where they treat the customers better. Plus my aunt had a recent experience with them where the owner cussed her out on the phone when she called to ask for food products. Regardless of the frustration you may feel, you shouldn't cuss people out on the phone if you don't understand them.

The lady running this store is will trick you with the prices for items that aren't properly listed on the receipt. For eg. If u buy a bowl, they will ring it up as merchandise and ring it as high as they please. I asked the price for a bucket and the lady told me $4.99. I left and came back and hour later and the lady wasn't there. Some guy was running the store he told me the price was $2.89. Besides this, they sell past best buy products. Their lamb is fatty. Poor quality cassava etc. They don't stand behind their product. There's no prose for customer service here. I know these products travel a long way to get to us, but how do other stores have it fresh yet Fiji Marts product and attitude are both nasty tasting. If you need good fiji food and quality service, remember there are options.

Bought whole duck. This is the closest place within 10 miles thats sells it for a decent price(i called around). When i called here nice lady picked up answered all my questions and agreed to hold the duck for me. When i got there spoke with owner, nice guy great customer service. Duck was even cut up for me perfect for curry and cutt well also. The quality of meat was excellent. Left rest in freezer for later use. Stomach didnt hurt the meat was food quality and fresher then i expected for frozen duck. This place is a gem. I will not go anywhere else for duck. It was the biggest duck i ever seen also, i didnt expect there to be so much meat.

This is a small shop in barrio Northgate. It is full with treasures from India/Fiji. I highly recommend the chai tea packets. If you partial to mung beans they have them here, cheap. The lady who runs the shop is nice and recommended eating cinnamon.
