I'm so thrilled to have celebrated my birthday at Federalist Pizza! It's really a treat to find pizza with gluten free AND dairy free options! My partner and had the Capital and wood fired mushrooms--made with vegan butter!! The staff were friendly and attentive. We got to be right by the heaters on such a chilly night. As a group of queer folx, we felt welcome. We were really taken care of and I'm grateful.

We just had an amazing dinner at the Federalist and we are IMPRESSED! We love another thin crust napoleon style pizzeria out in Roseville and this place is right up there with top notch wood fired pizza. The next one was the Ricky Ricotta with hot honey and fresh basil. Loved the Monday night deal of a pizza and two drinks for a discounted price. You service yourself with a takeout window and you order up at the front counter with an awesome hostess. You bus the table yourself but service was always great when we asked for anything. You get to watch the pizza making process which is extra special. There is a great ambiance with a fire pit and corn hole. Excellent place! Will surely visit again...oh and the sangria was 10/10.

While visiting Sac and arriving in the evening, we looked for spots still open where we could sit down, unwind, and that weren't closing within the hour. Doing a couple of quick Yelp searches, would love to come back for a Sac brew tour! After the first two spots were closed for private holiday events, we saw a sign that had an arrow pointing to pizza..so naturally we took that as a "sign".What a fun surprise to be greeted by Federalist Pizza ~ converted storage container vibe serving pizza straight from the oven with heaters/a fire pit, brews, creative Za' selections and appetizers, and games/kid-friendly toys. What a score! We quickly got cozy after ordering a Margherita, Ricky Ricotta, and their version of meatballs called Cannonballs. Service was spot on and with the storm that was approaching, it seemed like others had the same idea to get warm here too. The Cannonballs were warm and hearty, felt like my Dad was working with them in the back of house (he makes excellent meatballs, secret recipe!) Served with a warm piece of bread to soak up the remainder "Sunday Sauce", this appetizer scored a homerun. The Margherita was tasty and quickly devoured, but I was a bit puzzled by the Ricky Ricotta. I wanted to try something different, so I went with something I've never had before...pepperoni, ricotta, and hot honey. Unfortunately I think my order fell a bit short. The excess of toppings while presentation was stellar, were almost too over-the-top to where the pizza underneath and/or toppings were cold. While picking up the slices everything toppled off, and while I love a good scoop, it missed the mark for me. Quality ingredients, but there may be another way to drive this concept home for the price paid. Would def come back to try other pizza creations with hometown brews in such fun digs.

Decided we needed some good pizza and spread some holiday money to support our local businesses. We were greeted right away and saw a large party in the outside area. So checked out the menu and ordered The Capitol and the mushrooms along with a couple of beers. They have a selection of about 14-15 beers, cider and kombucha. We were given a buzzer and while waiting the chef mentioned our stuff was at the kitchen area. He brought it over to us. The buzzer didn't sound so didn't know it was ready and we had to pick it up.The mushrooms were amazing. Cooked perfect with all the butter. Our pizza was delicious as usual. It is interesting watching them cook it in the pizza oven. A lot of wood was being used that day. They appreciate putting the glasses and plates in the bin when finished.

This is a cute little spot. Pizza was good but there weren't enough options to my liking. I like how they have fire pits and games.

My fave pizza in Sacramento. Always hits, but don't try if you don't like fire roasted pizza. Cute spot to hang out with cool outdoor space and inside benches, good for group gatherings.

Parking was super easy to find as it is in a less busy part of downtown sac. there was plenty of parking meters outside and I believe neighborhoods you can park in. The outside of this place is what drew me to go here. It was a shipping container like restaurant which is so cool bc this is not common! as I ordered, I asked the cashier if there was a smaller sized pizza and she flat out said no haha. wish there was personal pizzas or such! Anyways, I ended up going for a pepperoni pizza. It came out like a medium sized pizza with about 6 slices. The pizza was OKAY. There was enough pepperoni which I looooovvveedd. They were charred to perfection! Not enough cheese though. The pizza is more so thin not as saucy and with think crust. If you're into thinner style pizzas, this is your place! Overall, vibes are pretty good and they have a clay oven baking the pizzas so you get the charred taste. Pretty good but also I can I get mod pizza for similar taste for cheaper. My pizza was $25 after taxes.

We came on a quiet weekday evening and ordered their stanford pizza at the counter before taking our seat. We were the only customers there and the food came out quickly. We thought the ingredients tasted fresh but the pizza was slightly bland. They do have chili oil to add for taste which helped. Love that they have quite a few vegetarian items on their menu! Would love to come back to try their beer on tap!

Cool location! SERVICE: The staff was friendly! However, keep in mind you order at the counter so not much interaction with staff. They did bring out the pizza quickly. FOOD: The sauce was good but the rest of the pizza lacked the wow factor. We got the pepperoni pizza (forgot to take a pic). The crust was a little burnt (some people like that) and the pepperoni was too salty for me. AMBIANCE: The location is cool. It has a backyard vibe and is located down an ally way. Park in the lot across the street ($7). I thought the games they have sitting out was a nice touch. Overall, I can see how people like the vibe here but the pizza is not my taste so we won't be back.
