This is my favorite bakery in Sacramento! I always try to stop by and grab some goodies whenever I'm in the area. I visited on Lunar New Year, and the place was beautifully decorated. Unfortunately, they were out of many items by 10:30 AM. I only managed to try their pineapple bun with salted egg yolk custard from their LNY specials this week (they were out of the black sesame kouign-amann and egg tarts). 4/5 Pineapple Bun: The crust wasn't as crispy as a traditional pineapple bun. It reminded me more of a concha-style top. The filling was generous but didn't quite taste like salted egg yolk custard; it was more like a creamy custard instead.5/5 Pear Butter Donut: omg this was amazing! The dough is milk bread rolled in cinnamon sugar, filled with pear butter and topped with cream. Soo good! 4/5 Miso Toast: This was tasty! I loved the umami-sweet miso butter on the toast with the blackberry jam.

We came on a rainy Saturday morning around 11am- there was a fairly long line that stretched from the entrance down to Solimar. Thankfully, Faria had a basket of courtesy umbrellas out front, so that you have some coverage while waiting. It took us about 15 min to get inside- they only allow one party inside at a time for ordering. I did notice there seemed to be some confusion with folks who preordered- some people coming for pick ups were told to get in line as well, but some just went straight into the store to grab their order. They could probably use some signage clarifying what is preferred.Items that we ordered:- Ham + cheese croissant: absolutely delicious, one of my favorite items. I loved the texture on top of the croissant- it had crispy ridges and was topped with a cornichon. - Almond croissant: really delicious as well, nice and flaky, not too sweet.- Miso toast: this was topped with seasonal jam, which seemed like a blueberry jam. The sweet and salty combination really complemented each other.- Morning bun: cinnamony, delicious as well, pretty standard for a morning bun.- Miso apple handpie: unique flavor, the miso didn't overwhelm the handpie at all. Again, the balance of sweet and salty was really satisfying.- Cortados: tbh I don't think coffee is their strong suit. We only got coffees because we were planning to dine in for breakfast. The espresso itself seemed to be under-extracted; was kind of watery, acidic.

This is the only place in Sacramento where I've found truly amazing, authentic canelés! My family and I can't get enough of them. If you know anything about baking canelés, you know they're a finicky labor of love and not easy to make, but Faria seriously nails it every single time. Their perfectly caramelized, crispy outer shell and rich, vanilla-y custard center are absolute perfection. These pastries are worth every penny! I read some reviews of people saying they're too pricey and too crunchy on the outside, but hello thats how authentic canelés are supposed to be and where the rich caramelized flavor comes from! They're expensive bc canelés are not easy to make and they use local ingredients. Try making some and you'll quickly see why.. Plus they deliver, which is so convenient and I use it all the time lol! Personally, their customer service has always been great with me. Everyone I've talked to has been nice and friendly. Their buckwheat coffee cake and kouign-amann are also excellent. Both are less sweet, but still incredibly flavorful and clearly made with top-notch ingredients. Their almond croissant is on the dryer and flakey side due to being twice baked, so keep that in mind if you're expecting a soft doughy croissant, twice baked isn't that! You can really tell that everything they bake is crafted with care and high-quality ingredients, which sets them apart from other bakeries in the area.On their website it shows how they support local farmers and buy their ingredients from them, which is not cheap and something most bakeries short cut. I truly appreciate their efforts to do this and buy local! If they ever stopped making canelés, I don't know what I'd do because they're my absolute favorite pastry. Definitely a must-visit!

Faria Bakery is a must-visit in Sacramento's Oak Park neighborhood! Their sourdough is perfectly crusty with a soft, flavorful crumb, and the pastries are flaky and delicious. They also serve well-made coffee drinks that pair perfectly with their baked goods. The staff is friendly, and the cozy atmosphere makes it even better. If you love fresh, artisan bread, pastries, and great coffee, this place won't disappoint!

This place is pretty good. It's organized by having customers form a line outside. When you arrive, you are instantly hit with a great baking smell. There's places for sitting indoors and outdoors. I love the simplicity of their menu and their items are pretty good! I enjoyed the baked treats such as the rhubarb and ricotta danish and my husband ordered an miso apple hand pie . We devoured them which tells how good it is. The mocha was beautifully presented and my husband enjoyed his iced coffee. I'd love to go back and maybe dine in. We ordered to go! Definitely check this place out.

Believe the hype! It is well worth it! If you are expecting a regular, average, run of the mill place for breakfast, then this is simply not the restaurant for you. Staff member, Gersam, was very professional and passionate about the product, which is locally sourced from a farm 50 miles away. I ordered the special breakfast dish. What surprised me were the assortment of flavors- spicy with a hint of sweet. While prices are on steeper side, what you're paying for is a gourmet dining experience...which is surprising because the interior seating area is limited. The quality of their products is exceptional. The ingredients for the breakfasts are locally sourced. The baked goods are produced in-house- also exceptional. You need to savor every bite! Then hopefully you will come to an understanding as to why it's so wonderful. It might be easy to overlook this bakery, or have generalizations as to what to expect based on the selected pastries that you might see. This is a true culinary experience! The pear, donuts, for example, are made with a special dough that takes over a day to create. Definitely worth a visit!

It's a good AND bad thing that I don't live closer! My wallet is thankful but my belly and soul always fills when I visit. Such creative, beautiful and tasty items. Always something new and fun. A bit pricey but soooo worth treating yourself and anyone you love because it's just food that makes you smile.

Walked in on Wednesday morning, which is their Monday at this establishment and was warmly greeted by an employee. I wasn't rushed to order so I was able to look at their variety of pastries that they offered through the display. I chose an almond croissant and a Canelé. The Canelé had a light crisp on the outside and was extremely moist on the inside, the perfect combination. I tried their brown sugar latte hot with oat-milk, it was very suttle and not overly sweet. I will definitely come back to try their brunch menu and pick up one of their olive loafs my next time here. Don't sleep on this bakery, it is worthwhile of your time...

Farria Bakery is an absolute hidden gem. Every single item I ordered was incredible--the croissant and pain au chocolat were perfectly flaky with deep, buttery layers, the country loaf had a beautiful crust and soft, flavorful crumb, and the mini panettone was light, airy, and just the right amount of sweet. Even the cappuccino was spot-on. The quality of the flour they use really shines through in everything they make.If you appreciate top-tier pastries and bread, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommend!
