Beautiful local park in Fair Oaks where they host the chicken festival as well as several other local festivals during the year. Well maintained with clean lawns, large grassy areas, a few play structures for the kids, and BBQ pits that are free to use.Parking isn't too bad during the regular week but can get challenging during busy events - many people end up having to park across the street or in the neighboring areas.Playing fields are well maintained and host evening softball/baseball leagues during the week, as well as other recreational leagues and sports.Great place to walk your dog or take your family out on a stroll.

You've probably driven by this park too many times to count on Madison. You can see the playground peeping out from the road.It is tucked behind the library. There is lots of parking, open grass areas, baseball fields, playground, and bathrooms. The playground was a big hit. Multiple slides, swings, and monkey bars. There are tables spread throughout the park as well.Lots of shady areas.Recommend.

Beautiful grounds and wide-open spaces to sit and watch local baseball games or to have lunch at one of the parks' many picnic tables. It feels safe at the park, as long as you're there during daylight hours.

This is a large park with a big field, perfect for walking your dog and just exploring nature and all it has to offer! My toddler enjoyed the swings and slides on the playground with a friend from church despite it being a bit nippy out! I would recommend checking out this park, which also happens to hold the Easter Eggstravaganza each year with free and low cost activities for families! And a Pancake Breakfast hosted by the Fair Oaks Lion's Club in the McMillan Center! My toddler had a lot of fun, I hope to take her next year, as well as check out other events hosted here at the park!

One of my favorite local parks and it's right by the library! My only complaint is the homeless population. Lots of shade and places to sit!The ground is turf which we love! Especially because grandma is in a wheelchair! It allows for a more inclusive setting. It does need a little touch up though. We love the swings and how they are separated from infant to older kids. The structure is full of bridges, things to climb and slides. I love how the railing is enclosed with thin bars, so kiddos don't fall out as easily. Not much for sensory exploration on the structure itself, but they do have one spinning tic tac toe game. We love the sand area and the rocking horses in it. It's fun to shovel or bring water. Our son really seemed to enjoy the bouncy bridge, although guidance was needed. There is also a baseball field and skate park!

This park is fun for the kids! There's a sand area for digging and riding bouncing horses, slides, swings, and a bouncy bridge. The park is surrounded by the Fair Oaks Library, which is nice, a soccer field, and a baseball field. Parking gets crazy on Saturdays! It's a great place for kids to play. On nice weather there always seems to be a birthday party because of the space and it's a nice area. During the summer there are events.Overall, I'd go back. It's nice to have the library and park near each other. I will be bringing my whistle (teacher-mode) next time. I'll compete with the soccer coaches. Maybe then they'll notice their other kids they left behind.*Beware: during game season, parents leave their kids unattended at this park. This is both terrifying for me, as well as the fact that kids were swearing near littles and hitting each other with sticks. Please watch your children!

Brought our 2 year old grandson for some playtime. He loved the play structure especially the bridge. Slides were a hit as were the swings, and the rocking animals. Sand is always fun to play in and lots of grass to run around on with grandpa. I loved that the bathrooms were close by too.

I love this park and have grown up spending time here. However, parents of little tots should be aware that there's about a 6 foot drop on one side of the playground equipment (a fireman's pole is there). The park is technically only for five and older but I know there are a lot of parents like myself who go there with smaller children and this is quite a drop for a 3 year old.
