Talk about a hidden gem... My wife and I have been on the hunt for good Indian food in Sac for FOREVER now!! YEARS it seems!!! Kathmandu is incredibly bland, boring, and watered down. And Bombay is very inconsistent (not worth dropping $70 for constant uncertainty). This past Sunday we were scrolling Yelp looking for something new/ different when I came across Everest Curry! Reviews looked promising (4.5 stars) and their "10% off your first order" swayed us to give them a try!Everest Curry is located on Broadway and 18th. Definitely an interesting area, a bit "run down." Parking is limited to the street.Like other reviewers have mentioned, Everest Curry does look "dated" on the inside. It doesn't seem like they renovated after taking over for a different Indian restaurant a couple months ago. This makes Everest Curry a takeout spot in my view. When I walked in there were no patrons dining there, but a small army of DoorDashers waiting for orders. We decided to go all out for our first visit! We ordered butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, saag, rice, raita, garlic cilantro naan, and momos. And WOW!!!! Everything was absolutely DELICIOUS. I'm talking INCREDIBLY flavorful! A 180 of Kathmandu! My wife and I devoured our meal!! Ate it up so quickly I forgot to take pictures of the food (lol)! Leftovers the next day were just as fire too!!!The butter chicken and tikka masala were spicy, salty (in a good way), and authentic tasting. The saag had so much flavor. Naan was on point. Momos were great. Everything was just SO good!!! The moral of the story is don't judge a book by its cover. As mentioned before, Everest Curry is a HIDDEN GEM!!! Don't sleep on them!!! We truly cannot wait to return!! A++++++++

Wow, I can't believe we found such a delicious Nepalese/Indian restaurant! Located conveniently close to us on Broadway, you can easily drive right past Everest if you go too fast. Solid food with lots of spice and flavor! We've picked up takeout a few times from here and it's always great. They were even open Christmas Day (bless them) and got to enjoy one of our favorite cuisines on a day when nothing is open! Highly recommend the chicken tikka masala, butter chicken, saag chana, assorted appetizers, and the garlic naan. Yum!

This place was opened a few months back, located on Broadway. Service & food was good. You can pick any entree to make it into a "Thali", which means a full meal / combo plate. Extra charges apply. Very favorable & filling on both vegan plate & curry coconut lamb. Def a place to try. Kinda hard to find parking, think they share it with the sushi restaurant next door, else you can park in the residential area in the back.

This place had been on my Sacramento to try list and I was not disappointed!First things first, the spices in the lamb curry can't be beat. The mix from the vegetable sampler order, the lamb curry plate, and a side of roti was more than enough for the two of us and it gave a great introduction into North Indian / Nepalese food. We didn't leave a grain of rice or drop of sauce on the plate. Their wine/beer menu is in the works but the potential pairings look excellent.Don't sell yourself short and give this place a try! This place is equally enjoyable to sit, eat, and dine in OR make an order to go and enjoy at home in cozies.Looking forward to my next visit, cheers.

2nd visit - tried a whole array of new things! The mixed tandoori grill plate is scrumptious! Chicken, lamb, salmon and shrimp all so good and with that great tandoori oven char on it. Also had some cilantro garlic naan and basil garlic naan. And with some green chutney I could be happy just with that. Palak Paneer is very good here. It's easy for this food to be too salty and I really appreciate how well balanced the spices and flavors are. The dal soup is delightfully garlic forward and I really enjoyed it.

The ambience was pretty chill, and the server was very responsive. The food was incredibly delicious. The lamb curry and rice were phenomenal in flavor and very well-seasoned. The garlic naan was very tasty as well. For my beverage, I enjoyed a tall glass of mango lassi, which satiated my sweet cravings. All in all, this is a marvelous place to enjoy fine Indian cuisine.

Such good food with parking lot nearby. The outside not great but very nice inside , clean and table clothed tables. Friendly attentive service. I had a delicious vegetable appetizer , coconut curry chicken with naan. Wow- both were so beautifully cooked. The curry was deep in texture and spice. The naan has the right crispy , chewiness. This is a gem in the Land Park neighborhood- reasonably priced.

It was really good! Service was solid, they were attentive and checked up on us throughout our meal. The garlic basil naan was pretty good, I'm glad that we got it to pair with our curries. I tried thali for the first time but I think I'm a simple girl so will just do rice and naan with my curry in the future. The thali was very interesting, but I did like the middle curry looking one because it had paneer and potatoes. The butter chicken was good! I only get butter chicken curry but wanted to try something else as well. My friend got the coconut chicken curry; it was okay. Nothing super crazy, still really good though! It just paled in comparison to the butter chicken that that's just my personal preference speaking.

I recently checked out this Nepali spot on my way back from Tahoe with a group of friends. Their chole bhature was out of this world! The chickpeas were so flavorful and the bhature had the perfect crunch. And let me give a shoutout to Anil and Sunil. They were super cool and accommodating, even though we rolled up with a big group right before closing time. They made sure we were taken care of and made us feel right at home. Plus, the chow mein was fire - spicy and full of flavor. We'll definitely stop by again!

The outside needs to be pressured washed let's start with that, that itself had me skeptical. Then I walked in and the inside is clean and pretty much date worthy. The host was nice dressed well and very polite. I ordered the hot Masala Chai Tea , lamb byriani, butter chicken, and garlic/cilantro naan. Everything was served hot, the food was seasoned and spicy . Plenty of seating and they had the cultural tunes going in the background.
