First and foremost, this is NOT a CrossFit gym. This gym combines olympic weightlifting and kettlebell strength training with intense athletic conditioning. And when I say intense, I mean the kind of intensity that makes you sweat tears and see unicorns. There is no AC, no TVs, no mirrors. You're not going to find any treadmills, stair-climbers or recumbent bikes here because those machines are too easy. That's why I made the move from the commercial gym (24 Hour Fitness) that has been my home base for years; I needed something to push me beyond my limits because I wasn't doing it on my own. Andrew (Moose), the head trainer, does exactly that with everyone no matter what their various limits are. I have only been in for about three weeks and my cardiovascular conditioning has improved dramatically. He is quickly turning me from a normal, beer bellied, bicep curling bro to a shredded, homicidal gym predator. The monthly rate ($105 w/ a 12 month commitment) is a bit more than what I've been paying at 24 Hour, but the unlimited hands on training is entirely worth it. I can't say this gym is for everyone because it's not, but anyone with a serious desire to push their limits to achieve their fitness goals should definitely check them out.

My teenage son and his rugby squad have been working with Andrew and Moose for a couple years now. They are a great gym and really motivate their clients. Couldn't recommend them more. If you wanna get fit, get down there.

This gym has been a life saver to my injuries I've been battling since 08. I've only been attending maybe a month and already I feel better and my results have sky rocketed. I've gotten to a 260lb bench press and 400lb dead lift. I played 4 years of highs school football and didn't receive the proper techniques of lifting that Andrew has applied to my work outs. If you are looking for a trainer that is patient and doesn't try to break you down but instead builds your foundation up with technically sound fundamentals than Andrew is your man.

Knee pain cured! I have had patellofemoral pain syndrome (runners knee) for 8 years with no relief until I started coming to Ethos Strength & Conditioning. After years of physical therapy and prescription anti-inflammatories, the sports medicine doctors were no closer to getting me out of pain. If I did so much as one body weight squat or lunge, I would struggle to walk for the next week. After 2 months of training with Andrew (owner of Ethos), the pain in my knee was completely gone and I was able to stop taking all anti-inflammatory medication. I am now fully integrated into his classes where I have been able to get all the way up to a 125 lb squat (I'm 5'1" & 130 lbs). Andrew's impressive knowledge of the human body has improved my quality of life and my overall fitness. The gym is non-traditional as each day all of the classes are the same so you can show up to whichever class time works best for you. It takes all of the guesswork out of needing to plan which muscle group to workout each day as the program is designed to show up daily and improve overall fitness. Class sizes are very small so personal attention is always given to ensure safety and provide modifications for any injuries. You will not be disappointed by this gym!
