Escape Fair Oaks

Had a game reserved today at 5 for 6 people. Card was charged, waivers were signed. We arrived before our scheduled time. First it was difficult to even find the suite. There are no clear signs once you get to building. We finally found an unlocked entrance to get in the building and find the suite and no one answered the door. Called (916) 304-4482 and no one answered. Found another number (279)230-3596 and this one at least had a greeting that it was Escape Fair Oaks and that I could text the number. I texted the number and no response and website is no longer available. Extremely disappointed!

What a great find, and so well done! We took seven family members and had the best time ever! The owners researched the field by looking at more than 200 other escape rooms and then put together an excellent experience showcasing the best of what they experienced. On the way home, we were already talking about when to come back :-) which cannot be soon enough! When I was thinking about coming here, I read the other reviews, and I have to say--they said it all! As Magnolia said, it has an "Incredible heart and clever use of materials and space." The owner is very professional and considerate when scheduling. You could never go wrong choosing this escape room!

We had a great time playing Carn-Evil. It was my first escape room, and I didn't know what to expect, but i can't wait to play again! It was entertaining and we escaped with 3 minutes left on the clock. The decor was well thought out, and I felt as if I was really in a circus tent. Shout out to our game master who helped us when we needed it. I would definitely recommend.

We just finished playing Carn-evil. Such a cute little escape room. The outside of the place was creepy which I liked, to get us in the mood. The puzzles were well themed with a good medium level of difficulty, not impossibly hard, not too easy, but rather just right in the middle. The owner is enthusiastic and very nice. I highly recommend this place.

If you're looking for an escape room with lots of special effects and elaborate sets, this isn't it. But if you want an escape room with incredible heart and clever use of materials and space, this is a solidly entertaining experience. I have done about 9 other escape rooms in the Sacramento and San Francisco areas and this was definitely a solid experience that I would recommend. What I loved most was that the room was fantastic for children (the story is fun-scary not scary-scary, and the room isn't scary at all), but would be fun for adults as well. The owner is so creative and artistic, and very personable. I wouldn't recommend more than 4 people. You can (mostly) only work on one puzzle at a time, and they're very sequential.

I'm not sure if this place is a scam or out of business but I booked and paid for the room on their website for Saturday, June 29, 2024 for myself, my son, and two nephews. I received a text message and email confirmation with the QR code for my tickets and added them to my Apple wallet. I also signed the waivers for all four of us. When we arrived at the address, it was an apartment complex. We were definitely at the correct location. Nobody answered the door. Nobody returned my phone call. Nobody replied to my text message. Please do not waste your time or money on this place.

Super great energy! Took a group of theater kids and they had an awesome time, especially setting a new record for the leader board!! Highly recommend.

Nice little escape room. Good level of difficulty for newbies and teenagers. Jeneé was super helpful and a great hostess for the game.

Hi Escape Room Enthusiasts,My Chaw Family team of 6 have been to practically all of the escape rooms in the Sacramento area. Including the great escape rooms at Neo Escape Rooms, Red Door Escape Rooms and Enchambered. This room, Escape Fair Oaks, has only one escape room at the moment and it is called Carn Evil. It is very new having just opened in January 2024! It's a circus evil clown theme but don't worry, it's not overly scary for kids. We loved that the puzzles and contraptions were imaginative and fun to solve. None were too easy and most were reasonably challenging. Just about the right amount of challenge for us 6 seasoned escape room adults. I liked that all the challenges worked and there were no missing parts would could waste valuable escape time. The room was well designed and the puzzles were logical and fun. We did escape with some time to spare ;) !The owner and also escape room hostess is Jenee. We all thought she was very helpful and very personable. She and her sister are heavy into escape rooms and this Carn Evil room was designed by Jenee. We appreciated the escape room team pictures that Jenee took for us too.My family gives this escape room a deserved 5 lof 5 stars. Don't miss this one in Fair Oaks. The escape room is a little hard to find at night time since the neighborhood is so quiet but just look for the Escape Room Sign hanging outside of the building's gate entrance. Wonderfully creative escape room! You can tell there was so much thought and passion put into designing it. This was a great place for our first time trying an escape room. The host really cared about our experience and made sure we had a great time!
