Decided to come in to try some more of their famous sushi tacos. Nice ambience and ample seating and water can be self served. I've tried this place twice before and saw that it was recently awarded as the top 100 Yelp restaurant. So happy for their success and being loved by the community for a new restaurant that's been established less than 5 years. I ordered some udon noodle soup and we had a variety of sushi tacos and appetizers. Always a good time eating here and good for groups too as there enough seating. Servers were kind and attentive and food came timely. Everything was delicious. Will continue to come here to support :)

Oyakodon: on first contact, the smell from the bonito flakes were aromatic!! Another thing, the flakes were dancing and waving like flags from the heat. The bowl was Perfectly warm, sauce is tasty, and got perfectly full. I love oyakodon and this one did not upset. Simple ingredients and lovely dish. Also big wooden spoon made the experience enjoyable too. Curry Udon: came with shrimp tempura and has a layer of mayo that fully covers the udon. my friend got this one. He said, noodles were too soft, it tears too easily. Too much mayo on top. He also got super full. Katsu don: my other friend got this one and said onions were good but also said she normally likes onions. And that its not badExtraEveryone gets a small plate, chopsticks and napkins. But for the dishes we got we all got a big wooden spoonBig wooden spoon was lovely, I loved eating off of it idk why lolLot less crowded than I expectedDecoration was really cute, some fake vines hanging out and nice lighting even during morningWe came in afternoonish on a saturdayThe receipt has a QR code for you to pay but you can also pay with physical card if you wantRedtaurant also smaller than expectedWhen we came in, we were able to get a seat pretty quickly for 3 people. But as we were eating, restaurant did get fullWater had about 3 cute little ice cubes in them and mine specifically shrunk relatively quickly. Im a simple man, Ive never had a bad oyakodon so 5/5

I'm so happy to see this restaurant in south sac. It truly blew me away with quality, presentation, and taste, as well as the really great service. We came in for an early dinner on a Sunday and got seated immediately.I saw these amazing sushi tacos and knew I had to try it. As an unagi lover, I have to say this was such a phenomenal way to try it. From the tempura shell to the tender unagi, this dish was a knockout. Can't wait to be back for more.

Cute little spot, but parking is pretty limited. Since it's near a residential area, you might be able to find street parking in the neighborhood. Prices for ramen, udon, and donburi are reasonable, but the tacos are on the pricey side. Service was quick.I tried the Taco Unagi, and it was pretty solid. The unagi sauce was a bit more tart than I'm used to, but the eel itself was melt in your mouth soft. The veggies added a nice crunch, and the taco shell (which I think was fried seaweed) was crispy but bland on its own. Also got the Classic Ramen (no bamboo, no ginger), and it was alright. They gave a lot of noodles. The broth had good flavor without being too heavy. My friend loved the noodles and thought they were super bouncy with a nice chew. They ordered the taco crab mix, curry udon, and shoyu ramen, and they seemed to enjoy their food too!

Nice cozy spot! The food was extremely tasty and service was great. The shrimp taco and the takoyaki were filling and packed with flavor. Parking lot is limited and the neighborhood is a bit seedy, so be careful when parking your car. I'd recommend making a reservation, just in case.

This is one of those places that you dream to find. It's a little restaurant sort of on its own, and it's excellent. Thankfully for Yelp, I was clued in to its existence. The outside of the restaurant is really cute. It reminds me of a very well-kept restaurant from the 80's with its big slanty roof. Inside, there's a small/medium dining area that is very tastefully decorated. The restaurant has an inviting feel to it that I thought was delightful. Our service was excellent as well. The people who run this restaurant key in on making sure that guests are comfortable and treated in a friendly way. I found the server to be very attentive to our needs.I'm happy to report that the food here is just as, if not better, than all the other charms that this restaurant has. The ramen was on-point with more noodles that I expected. The portion was very big and certainly was able to fill me up. The classic ramen is your typical ramen and features a deliciously cooked char siu on the top. The special ramen is much more exotic and has ground beef with peanut butter and cashews in it! Can you believe it? Well, it was great and the flavors came together just right! The unagi taco was another item that really impressed me. The unagi on the top was again a very large portion and sauced delicately. It came in a battered 'shell' made from seaweed. I've never seen anything like it! The only thing I wish is that I lived closer to Engawa Fusion. This is a restaurant that I would go to time and time again!

Definitely a hole in the wall on Stockton Blvd. The Ramens were on point and huge portions. The Gyoza was crispy and flavorful, the squid salad and the salmon taco was a bit on the sweet side for my taste. I was expecting the Tako wasabi salad but it was more a savory salad with squid not octopus. Overall service was good and the Ramen is their specialty here. For the price point the portion was above average. Plenty of parking. Make reservations as there's only like 6 tables here so it fills up fast.**Don't forget to follow me on IG for more great foodie places to check out Follow...@Only1ChristineLu **

Cozy cute restaurant with friendly waiters and tasty food! My friend and I got the takoyaki, salmon taco, tuna taco, and unagi taco. Upon friendly recommendation from the waiter, we only got two each, which was the perfect amount of food. Takoyaki was crispy yet creamy on the inside with decent well cooked chunks of octopus. Fish tacos were generously portioned. We loved the tempura battered nori shells which were perfectly savory and crispy and paired really well with the toppings. They were a little difficult to eat, so we were grateful for the large plates provided. - The salmon was on the saltier side but creamy and well balanced with the veggies underneath and the rice. It was decorated with a bit of what looked like saffron, tho the saffron didn't really add to the taste. - The unagi taco was really sweet from all the unagi sauce that soaked into the rice. I loved the melt-in-your mouth texture of the unagi, but could have done with less sauce as it was a little too sweet for me. - I didn't try the tuna taco, but my friend liked that it tasted a little less fishy than the salmon one We also appreciated that they didn't mind us hanging out there until closing well after we finished most of our food. Overall, a must try! May come again to try more tacos or their ramen.
