Teachers seem nice, but we pulled our daughter out after less than 2 weeks due to their heavy reliance on toxic scented wall plug-ins and the administration's failure to be transparent about their use until I had asked about it several times. I would have expected an accredited Montessori School to favor a more natural odor removal method due to the emphasis on the connection to nature...Lots of red flags regarding administration, especially with Danielle, the enrollment person who was overseeing all communication, even communication between parents and teachers. She gave me lip service about how much they care about parental concerns, but made no attempts to look into the concern, and instead told me NOT to bring up my concern again. Seems like Ryan C left a review with similar complaints about the communication and the lack of action as well. Will not be recommending this school to anyone.

Ever since enrolling my baby girl I've seen many improvements. she has learned so much. The facility is nice, you get this good and positive energy as soon as you walk in. The child to teacher ratio is great! They take such great care of my girl, it makes me happy to send her off every morning and know she'll be taken care of.I absolutely love this school and the teachers. I'd like to thank the entire staff and would recommend this school to anyone who is looking for quality care and safe environment.

Can't say enough great things about this school. My son loves it, as do my wife and I. The staff is friendly and caring. An example would be when my son tripped over his feet and cut his forehead open on a brick wall. I was called with a very calm tone and told to come down. When I arrived Miss Misty had my son in her lap and had made him lunch to take his mind off of the owie. She even answered questions from the advice nurse on the phone without me asking her to. In a nutshell, I feel SAFE knowing my son is in good hands. If that's not enough, I have a 4 year old who can recite the pledge of allegiance without hesitation. AWESOME!!!

Absolutely nothing bad to say about this place. The owner, Sara really cares about the kids and the school. They are making quite a few improvements to the exterior and it's going to be amazing when they are done, I'm sure. My child loves the teachers and he is blossoming into such a great little human being. He is learning so much and he's only 2. I love the real life interaction the Montessori program offers and this school has it nailed. I would not have my child anywhere else but here!

My son has been attending a Montessori school since he was 2 1/2. When I moved down to Elk Grove, I looked into a couple Montessori Schools. I immediately felt comfortable with my son attending Elk Grove Montessori. He has been there one full year now and I have seen such an amazing amount of progress while attending here. His reading and math skills exceed his age, and I am so excited! This fall he will be attending kindergarten and I know that he will be more than prepared academically. This school and their program is definitely worth the financial investment, for that alone, but the staff invests just as much into their students!

Personally I would not recommend this place. The reason for this is their communication and failure to take action on feedback about their communication. We signed up our 3 year old after moving to the area. This was his second Montessori school (the first was Spring Hill in petaluma and it's awesome)After our kid had completed 4 half days. Each time my wife collected him the teacher's assistant didn't have any information for us on how his day went or what he did at school. We asked the school who informed us the teacher would be present to talk to us the following Monday. The teacher unfortunately called in sick that day. Another week went by without any engagement from the school or teacher. When I called I was given a few excuses about teacher lunch time being during pickup for kids in the half day program. Which I understand is gonna happen every now and again, but this was not flexible on their part. Therefore if our kid was to remain in this school the only option we where given was to wait around at drop off and Hope the teacher had time to come out and talk to us. We did get her to call us and she made us feel that email was a going to work moving forward. But that email address was just the main one for the school front desk so it felt like they where placing a barrier between us communicating directly with the teacher. They had some points about Covid inhibiting parents from coming inside at drop off but it just felt like a bunch of excuses and there was little to no effort on the schools part to adapt to this scenario snd offer a different way for parents to engage with the teacher. As we where telling them we where not happy with their level of engagement I would expect that A good school would hear that feedback and adapt. This school did not. For us we wanted and needed engagement with the teacher which this school apparently doesn't have as a priority. It felt like a basic day care wrapped with a Montessori name. My advice if your thinking of sending your child here to ask them very specific questions on what they offer in terms of communication to parents and what exactly the kids do there all day. Or just learn from our experience and go elsewhere from the start.

A clean, safe, loving environment that I wish every child could have for their early schooling and day care! I have been so impressed with the quality of Montessori education! The staff is kind, loving and take team approach in partnering with parents to support each children. The building is clean and orderly. Each classroom is appropriately Montessori--simple, clean, natural. Simply stated: I love this little school! Every child who attends is blessed and lucky to be here!

Elk Grove Montessori is an EXCEPTIONAL learning environment for a COMPREHENSIVE education. The staff expands NURTURING to an entirely new level of CARING. The CURRICULUM is well-balanced and INTEGRATES Montessori methodologies, which foster INDEPENDENCE & accelerate GROWTH among the students. As an educator myself, I have personally witnessed my two children FLOURISH in the past year. Their ability to COLLABORATE with others and COMMUNICATE well has grown tremendously. I can see the ACADEMIC FOUNDATION being laid for the rest of their FUTURE. Thank you Elk Grove Montessori for working hard to deliver a QUALITY EDUCATION for our NEXT GENERATION. BRAVO~!
