We went to the Haunted Stage Stop this past weekend and I must say, I was pleasantly surprised. The place was decorated perfectly, even the restrooms. We went with our extended family, nine of us, ranging from 4-78 years old and everyone, including two teenage girls, had a great time. There were a few moments when our 4 year old son was a bit creeped out, but as advertised, this is definitely a family friendly haunted house. I am not going to lie, I did not have high expectations for this place, but I was proven wrong. They really did a great job with decorations and creating a spooky environment. I would highly recommend making the trek out here and I know we will be back next year.

I took my 4 year old son to the Old Fashioned Christmas over the weekend and we LOVED it. The Victorian house is so beautiful and the Christmas decorations were just gorgeous. Everyone working there was so friendly and the best part of the whole thing is that there were no long lines to stand in! I was dreading taking my son to see Santa because I did not want to wait in an hour long line at a mall. After you do the tour of the house, the little ones get to decorate a sugar cookie in the kitchen. Of course my son loved that. Then you exit the house and get to walk around the grounds which were also very nicely decorated. Once you're done, you check in to get a number to see Santa. There is no line to wait in because you have a number and there is a play area for the kids. They served hot apple cider while you waited. Santa was in the little jail, haha, which is a private setting and nicely decorated inside so once your number is called you go in and spend 10-15 minutes with Santa. There is also a professional photographer in there and you can buy the picture for $15 or just take your own pictures. This was a wonderful experience and we plan to go back for years to come.

Took my 4 yr old to see the Haunted House last Saturday. They did so great setting up all the freaky looking scary stuff. Everyone is very friendly, think Granpda & Grandma friendly. All the staff there are all dressed up which added to the fun. The staff were mostly elderly sweet people & the younger crazy scary people did freakishly great too. The Haunted House is filled to the hilt/ w skeletons, cobwebs & scary sights. The website it says it is family friendly, however, it would have been helpful if the site stated that it may be a bit too freaky/scary for littler kids. My 4 year old didn't want to go back or even through the whole thing (upstairs are the nightmare-inducing areas) & other littler kids that were there couldn't go through the whole thing either. However, the downstairs pirate area he thought was super cool. I would def go again & maybe bring older kids because they may understand it is fake & just meant for fun. If they added more to the place, maybe like a walking path where people jumped out at you around the dark, gloomy, spooky abandoned house & the "psycho" barn that would be even better. Adding more photo ops & more zombies or freaky looking people walking around the entire place scaring people & for photo ops would be double better. Currently it is just that single Haunted House & a short gated walk around the grounds. The price of only $5 per person is very doable. I hope they keep it this cheap so long as I am cheap (that may be forever) & add the stuff I suggested in the future and my rating will go up. Kudos for only being their 2nd yr doing this & making it look this good. Because they did such a great job, I want to see the house decorated for Christmas too!
