El Gallo

We ordered food to go tonight and I have to say it was excellent. We ordered fajita shrimp, fajita, steak, bacon wrapped shrimp, and beef nachos. We brought it home to watch the 49er game with our kids. It was so delicious. Everything was perfect and the service was wonderful. Definitely will order food to go again....one of our favorite restaurants.

Always an easy place for an easy meal; it's welcoming, it's familiar, and the staff is nice. Sometimes you crave Mexican and you get a side of chips. Sometimes you just go because you crave the chips and end up with a side of burrito. I always ask for the spicier salsa and mix it with the regular salsa. I love the outdoor seating, I'm glad the business is still here.

Very yummy and the service is great .we love to sit outside on the patio on warm nights.

This is a solid little place nestled in a quiet (mostly) business park in Rancho Murieta. They have a full service bar, a great patio near the ponds and waterfalls that would be great for a summer evening and the food is pretty decent. My wife had the taco salad and I got the two taco plate. We were both satisfied with our food and the highlight was probably the delicious dips that came with the chips. The only drawbacks I would see with this restaurant are that the service was a little slow (it wasn't busy, as we were one of three tables) and it's just a touch expensive. It's possible that a Monday lunch hour doesn't staff more than one waiter, so don't quote me on their service during peak hours. The only other detractor is that their menu needs some love. The food feels pretty limited, no descriptions about what comes in burritos, on the tacos, etc. and they didn't have a la carte options for things like the tacos. I'd definitely consider it a bit of a hidden gem that could do one or two things and become a super popular restaurant. Definitely give them a try!

Visited el gallo this evening. I applaud the attentive service and kind staff. Food was seasoned well, the beans and chips did not disappoint. Portions are huge. Plenty food to take home. Look forward to trying more menu items. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience and I can't wait to return for more delicious Mexican cuisine. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, making it a great place to enjoy a meal with friends or family. I highly recommend giving el gallo a try if you are in the area!

The food was excellent ,but the service was HORRIBLE, the older people waitress was very rude , we usually come here, but the service is very always excellent, maybe the waitress was having a bad day , but still. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS A PLUS TO ME , me and my friends will not be returning, SORRY THIS BUSINESS HAS JUST LOST 4 REGULAR CUSTOMERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Honestly I wouldn't bother coming by. For the only Mexican spot in a town named rancho murieta I was pretty surprised at how sub standard the food was. Service was excellent but man that's really about it.

Fast service, good-old home made Mexican food . Servers are very hard working people. Both food and drinks great. No menudo though . Everything else is very delicious.

I had a nice dinner here, but there was nothing exceptional about it. The food is quite bland, American-style. Chile Verde was fatty and not spicy at all. The Top Shelf margarita was quite sweet, though extra limes helped. Service was a mixture of good and indifferent. The ambiance is ok, as there is an attractive outdoor patio area I did like the salsa, and the bean dip they served with the chips. And I appreciate how the food was not over-salted, that part of the seasoning was just right. I would go back, as it's the only Mexican food in the area, but I wouldn't go out of my way to find it again.

Always a good time here at El Gallo! Thor made me his special jalapeño margarita to die for! Spicy with a bit of sweetness and tang of lime- and a tajine rim! Thanks Thor! (I may change up from the great blended margs I usually get!) Fish tacos are my fav-but a crispy Taco and rice is also great too! Or the carmomes with bacon Or enchilada Suisa! Don't forget the awesome salsa and black bean dip! Love you guys! See you next time!
