El Favorito is the go-to spot for fresh, authentic Mexican food served with pretty good service. Whether you're grabbing a quick bite or a hearty meal, their drive-thru is fast and efficient without compromising quality. The ingredients are always fresh, and the flavors are on point. From tacos to burritos, everything tastes homemade.

I recently stopped by this El Favorito, and the customer service was not my favorito. The food was exactly what I wanted, which was why I still gave them four stars. It tasted too good to dock points.I had ordered a super burrito with carne asada, wet with red sauce, and a large horchata with no ice. To go. It was $20.I try not to be petty, but she loaded my cup with as much ice as she possibly could, as if I had asked for extra, extra ice. The person in front of me, who had ordered for here, received theirs to go, while I received mine for here. I asked her for a new horchata with no ice, and she acted really confused, and then finally gave me one that was half full....tf?I asked for a to go box for my order, and they literally just dumped the burrito in the box. Usually, when you order a wet burrito to go from this location, they fill the tray with sauce. They made no effort to transfer the sauce, which I'd paid an extra three dollars for, from the plate to the to go box. I definitely could have (and wish I would have) done a much better job boxing it up myself. As far as presentation goes, out of the HUNDREDS of meals I've eaten from El Favorito in my life, this was the worst. But the flavor? It was all there. Undeniably bomb. Exactly what I want out of Mexican fast food. It later occurred to me that the cashier may not have spoken very much English. But, if she's taking orders, she should at least know the words "ice" and "to go." Plus, she asked me whether I wanted red or green sauce, so maybe she did speak English? I'm not sure. It didn't occur to me until it was too late to try to order in Spanish. The salsa bar was good, except there was no pico de Gallo, which is my favorite. Instead, they had a white jalapeño ranch type salsa, which was interesting. I loved the avocado salsa and habanero salsa. I also love that chips and salsa are included with the meal purchase. I like to eat the rest of my red sauce from my burrito with the chips, usually. Overall, other than the order taking mistakes, it was pretty good.

I love the food here & the prices are still pretty fair compared to most but they really need to be careful w/ their meats. I have had multiple & sometimes very sharp bone pieces that are concealed by the other ingredients, cheese, & wrapped in tortillas. When I pointed this out, I was told by one guy that the meat is marinated & this just happens while the lady working apologized & seemed to understand this is highly unacceptable. What if a little kid were to take a bite & not only choke on a bone but potentially cut up their mouth & insides. I'm sure they would pay attention to their parents when they slapped em w/ a hefty 6-7 figure lawsuit. Hope they read this & take note b4 anyone really gets hurt or worse. I'll still eat here though cause everything else about here is really great!! Just be careful!!

This is for the Sutton way location near Anytime Fitness, Rite Aid and Panda Express. Overall, I've been super happy with my food at El Favorito. It is always hot and fresh. Have gotten the Chimichangas on several occasions and the quality is higher than a certain "traditional sit down" place I can think at the south end of town. The interior of the restaurant is clean, modern, nice. The workers are friendly. It's a great place to get "fast casual" Mexican food in Grass Valley....something that was in short supply in the area until recently.

The service was really bad and the food wasn't all that good for how much you are paying. Tried it out 2 times to see if the first was just an off day, but my family and I won't be coming here anymore.

Went through the drive-thru because I was in a hurry to return to work. Got my food quickly, but didn't realize I had the wrong order until I got back. Okay, no biggie, this happens. I run back, but there's no parking because the lot holds only 8 vehicles. So, I jumped back in line in the drive thru. There were about 2 cars ahead of me. Once I return to the window, nobody was there. So, I waited and a young guy came and grabbed my receipt and incorrect order. He then tells me to park in the front, but I tell him there isn't any parking up there that's why I came through the drive thru. He didn't believe me; so he checked. Yup, still no parking - except the handicap parking. He told me to park there. So, I did. I waited in the car for another ten minutes, but nothing. I was afraid they may have forgotten about me. So, I went inside. I was ignored until I stepped up to the counter in a line of 4 guys to let them I was there waiting. My food was sitting on the counter behind the person on register. Finally, I got my food. I checked the receipt, and from the time of my original order to the time that I got my actual order, 40 minutes had passed. Not a single apology. I regret not asking for a refund because that whole experience was inconvenient, a huge hassle, and took up my time. That time is money. Needless to say, the food is only subpar and not worth the fight. I won't be returning.

I'm giving 3 because of what they were. The last trips it seems the burros have less chorizo and carnitas. I'd rather they raised the price instead of giving less

place has fallen off for sure. I understand prices are up for produce, but calling a green sauce avocado is unacceptable. asked them to give me fresh potatoes for my California and watched them heat them up on the griddle. good thing is the prices are up so at least I overpaid!

Friendly staff and usually great food but when making a burrito you gotta drain the juice. One bite and the stuff came pouring out.
