I came here on Taco Tuesday to order a bunch of different tacos so I could make my husband a taco platter. They have ten or eleven different meat options, which is nice, but when I got them home it was a little difficult to tell some of them apart and it even seemed as some were exactly the same. Either way, the tacos were decent. The salsa bar inside is lovely and I grabbed a few options to take away with me since I was not eating there. I would definitely come here again on Tuesday, but I urge everyone to pay attention at the cash register as the first price they told me was ridiculously high and I had to remind them it was taco Tuesday which significantly brought down my total price. Be vigilant and go and enjoy tacos!

I found myself back in the suburbs of upper north El Dorado Hills. I was with a group of hungry peeps. We wanted something yummy, moderately priced, casual counter service, pldntiful & easy accessible parking and large enough to accommodate eight of us. El Favorito Taqueria hit the mark. On my last visit, the service was friendly. The cashier was super helpful. Our orders came out fairly quickly and close together. So no awkward moment of waiting for that one last order. I ordered the steak rancho plate with flour tortillas. I debated between that and the carne asada plate. The cashier explained the difference. The steak rancho is the asada sliced with jalapeños, tomatoes, and onions while the asada was unsliced pieces served without any vegetables. The steak rancho was tasty. They weren't kidding about the jalapeños... there were lots of 'em. But the asada slices were a hodgepodge of sizing. Lots of tiny chopped pieces more suitable for a taco than a plate setting. The complimentary chips are self serve. They were light and crisp. But not too thin to fall apart after biting into them. The salsa bar had quite a few options. I was absolutely digging the sliced cucumber and red onions seasoned either tajin. Salty, lime, and mild chile pepper flavors. Yum. Plus that red salsa ... fill 'er up, that's some good stuff.

11/18/23This taqueria is one of the better taquerias in the inner El Dorado hills. Dinner multiple nights here this month. Kids and hubs like the tripas here and there aren't too many taquerias offer it as an option. They deep fry it here and it's very crispy! Carne asada is usually our go to but it has been hit or miss for us w/this establishment. Sometimes it's too dry and/or not seasoned well. We ended up really liking the Al pastor so it's our new preferred meat next to tripas for us.Ordered the carne asada fries today. It was ok. They have different flavors of Jarritos. They have a fountain drink station and the have a chip/salsa bar. We've been here a few times already dined in as well as ordered Togo. Service overall is ok. They don't usually smile upon ordering. If you elect to print your receipt, they will glance at the "tip" portion of the receipt and smile after they've seen the tip. So be nice and tip! Tables are clean and space is spacious. Ample parking available.

I doordash from them often. The food is good but they never add salsa when you order street tacos and when you order expensive guacamole, they don't include chips to eat it with the guacamole. Also there is no where on the doordash menu to oder chips and salsa and they don't include it.

I have ordered pick up from here 4 days in a row. 3 of the 4 days the order has been incorrect. Finally today I ordered the same items, whole bean burrito with a carrot and orange juice. I received carrot juice and refried beans burrito. I do not understand how orders can be messed up almost everyday. It is a simple order. Whole pinto beans burrito and carrot and orange juice.

Love this place! One of the best taquerias in El Dorado Hills. Visited this place multiple times. The food is good, tastes wonderful and the staff is great!Only giving 4-stars because last time we came in & the steak in my tacos and plate was a bit tough. Will still give it another chance as we love it and haven't found any other great options.

They get two stars; one for cleanliness, the other for the fast service. This would be a great restaurant for you if you had tastebuds that were too sensitive. If flavor is a distraction, this is your spot.I bought one of the expensive burritos and it was more than half lettuce, the other half was flavorless beans with barely any flavorless meat. This was my third and last time eating anything from there. I didn't want to drive all the way to Folsome to get my favorite mex, so it's my punishment for being lazy.

Delish! Clean and welcoming... great prices too. They have a complimentary salsa bar that's always fresh, and that says a lot. The cashiers are very nice, and the kitchen staff are usually whistling or singing :) I love the fish tacos and the chicken is really good too.

They can't read an order apparently. It was super easy and their own form. Very disappointing honestly bc it has happened before.

This is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in El Dorado Hills and a go to for lunch. The staff are all so friendly and accommodating. Parking is easy in the Safeway shopping complex off Francisco and Green Valley. The restaurant is clean and well kept. We usually get the combo fajita plate. It comes with salad, guacamole and sour cream as well as half a plate of fajita meet along with rice, beans and your choice of flour or corn tortillas. The salsa bar is great and who doesn't like warm crispy tortilla chips dunked in spicy salsa? They recently changed out the style of chips they serve and it is a big improvement. The prior style was not great and a detraction from the otherwise excellent food served in this establishment. The green salsa is my favorite and also the marinated and spiced cucumber slices in the salsa bar! If you're looking for good authentic Mexican food at a reasonable price and a clean, well run dining establishment - check out Taqueria El Favorito!!
